Quite possibly one of the best experiences I've had at any hair establishment. I've been to Barber shops and Salons alike, and Maverick made me feel more like a guest than any of them. On top of that my barber Sam put Michaelangelo's sculpting to shame. Definetly recommend.

Maverick hair studios have made me fall in love not only with my hair cuts but also with the team and the experience that I get everytime I book an appointment. It’s like when I book an appointment with Ivan or Brandon it’s an instant celebration and a count down to when I will be in that chair getting pampered and made look pretty. I highly recommend the studio, Ivan and Brandon, they are by far the most accepting, creative, fun and out the box thinking hair stylist I have met. They also offer chocolates!

No attention to detail. Gave this shop three chances and each time my hair was uneven or patchy. Hair stylists have all been fairly rude except Mr. Armstrong, but when he left, so did the talent.

I have been here 4 times only because it was convenient to get my hair cut at the time. Each time the haircut was worse and worse. I usually get asked one question on how I want it and then the barber does basically whatever they want. I do not recommend coming here even if you are in desperate need of a haircut. My hair is now very uneven on the sides and was cut way too short to even style it (which I never do anyway because I don’t like to) but it is really terrible.

I went in with pretty low expectations having spent the last month and a half dodging haircuts due to a very bad haircut at Tommy Guns. I left pleasantly surprised. Although not the best haircut I've ever had it was exactly to my liking. Louis was incredible and took plenty of time to make sure my hair was to my liking, offering suggestions and asking for my input. Even though I didn't know exactly what I wanted when I went in I left with exactly what I wanted in the end. I will certainty come back - you can't get a better haircut for $28 in Halifax.

Worst place to get haircut. They dont even know what they are doing. Even after showing a picture of haircut, guy cut my hairs wrong. Person at reception dosent even care or try to solve a problem. He just hung up on me. Not worth spending 32 dollars for haircut instead first choice or other saloons can cut it for 15 dollars. Too much attitude from people working there. I will never go there again or suggest this place to anyone.

I make sure I come to Mavericks every time I need a hair/beard trim. There are a solid 4-5 people there that I’m more than happy to sit for. My fav is Amika, she’s an absolute rockstar when it comes to making me look good. I’ll jeep coming back and you should too!

Very experienced barbers at maverick. I have only been there twice for a cut and style. I was very pleased with my first trip. The second time though the barber listened to what i asked him to cut it like and i provided a picture. It looked very good but not what I asked. My advice is be very clear with rhe style you want and they will take care of you.

Went there twice to get an haircut with a 24 hours pre booked appointments but unfortunately the management lacks the skills to manage a hair studio. Both the times had to come back, seems to me that they feel their customers time is invaluable. Won’t recommend, won’t go back either.

Got my hair cut and was charged $37. The cut didn’t meet the price. The lady who cut my hair was not bad but was not good either. The lady did not do what I asked for, I could have chosen not to pay, but she could not fix it anyway. I asked to comb it to the back and she made it too short. It was the same haircut that I got at another barbershop for $25. I guess next time I will go to the other barbershop it least I will save $12.

The guy there gave me awful razor burn with a straight edge and claimed it was because I had sensitive skin. Proceeded to scrape my neck and cheeks as hard as he could with a little antiseptic stick. I had red marks and bloody lines on my neck for almost a week. Not what I expected for the ridiculous price at $30 for the shave, $30 for the haircut and $10 for my eyebrows. Felt seriously scammed paying $90 total to have my face shredded right before an important date.

I've been there several times. Easy to walk-in, I've never been made to wait and the place has always been clean and presentable and professional. However my reason for only 3 stars is that every haircut I've gotten there was different even though I've asked for the same thing every time. Most times I've been pleased but I feel that the times I've been disappointed was because of a simple language barrier. I was there this afternoon and asked for a simple fade on the sides and just short enough to spike on top. This seems to be a common haircut nowadays but as soon as I got home I realized that the sides weren't at all faded and the top was too short to spike. I was basically given a buzz cut that I could've done at home myself and saved $30. My final concern is that of all the times I've been in there, there's only been one barber I've seen more than once - everyone else seems to disappear. My opinion: find a local barber who works for himself and go see him regularly because he'll probably talk to you more than most of these guys will and he'll likely know what he's doing.

One barber very inexperienced, when told to line up my hairline didnt do it. Missed chunks of my hair in the back and hair isnt even when was cut. I thought payinng for a 30$ cut would at least look over twice never going back here again

Great attention to detail, clean space, and an easy walk in. $36 for mens cut including tip seems on the higher end at a mall but it felt worth it. Offer of fades, shaves, beard trims, and more for men.

Hair is long from one side then other and I can see the line all over my head. I would go for the 0 Star, I ask for my usual barber"Kumar"and the lady at front desk force me for the other Barbers there, I trust her and went with one of the Barber yesterday, and the barber just ....up my hair. Worst haircut of my life and I've done my own in the bathroom mirror before...Asked for a crew cut fade and got a sloppy pomade with uneven sideburns and an awkward top trim. Had to get my friend to fix it. It didn't completely break the bank, but I guess you get what you pay for. I do not recommend this place, and I will not be returning.
