Everything about my experience was great. The place is stylish, plus there's coffee and a full bar, and yet the prices are reasonable. My cut was thorough and very good. The hot towel and massage are a luxurious addition. I used to drive to Hamilton for a cut but I think this will become my place now.

May 30th I read a great article about your shop in the paper, and it sounded intriguing. Stopped in Saturday to check it out... And you're closed from the 31st to the 3rd for a bachelor party. It didn't make a lot of sense to me that you would close for 3 days right after a big article announcing your opening. Hope it was a heck of a bachelor party. Edit: Congratulations on the wedding. When I do get in, I'll revise the review accordingly.

I decided to finally check it out. I've driven by a number of times and I'm so glad I stopped. It's a laid back, relaxing atmosphere where you can shoot the breeze over a cold drink or a hot expresso. My days are busy enough, so when I have a moment to just relax and get a hair cut its a complete breath of fresh air to just chill. I spoke to Matt for a while and it was a pleasure to get to know him, very down to earth guy. My hair cut was done by Carli, very nice, personable and a top notch barber. The most important part here is the hair cut and the other services they offer with it and it was top shelf, probably the best I've had. She took her time and did a great job. This place is great, they don't push you in and out like an assembly line. I'm a customer now for as long as the doors are unlocked and the open sign in on.

Amazing barbershop great addition to the area. Their standard cut comes with a wash, cut and a hot towel finish which was a nice touch. They have have a full bar if you want a drink before during or after your cut.

Decided to check this place out and I'm really glad I did. The atmosphere is very welcoming and the concept is really cool - having a drink while getting a haircut was never on the bucketlist but maybe it should have been? Carli did a really fantastic job and I never once felt like I was being rushed out the door like in other barbershops. There's an alternative vibe to the place that I love and I'll definitely be going back again. Highly recommend.

What an experience, was here for the first time today to get a cut. Was greeted by Mathew the owner. He was a very nice gentleman to chat with. Had my hair done by Tiffany and what a pleasure it was to be pampered by her, she was polite, and a good conversationalist. I will most definitely be back to this Barrrr___ber shop. This was a great haircut and the barber more of less got me exactly what I asked for. My only issue was that they seemed a little aggressive with their razor especially when they started the fade. I could immediately feel pain as they were scraping at my neck. I’ll be the first to admit they my skin can be sensitive to razor burn but this is beyond anything I have experienced at any other barber shop. Not only was I annoyed at the careless use of the sharp object on my neck, but the barber didn’t even mention it at all, as if I wouldn’t notice the very obvious scratches across the back of my neck. The part of my that likes the haircut wants to give them another chance but my still very tender neck makes me very hesitant. I suggest you either check the sharpness of your electric razors or have a chat with your employees about their technique because this experience was one I would not be keen to revisit. I’ve attached photos to demonstrate the severity of the cuts

They serve chilled brewski's, decadent mixers, partnered with the hottest restaurant in town(point of contention, arguable, I am willing to defend that statement) the food certainly is excellent. What a civilized way to wait your turn. Come early, stay late. In a hurry? These are true professionals. Like JTF2, in and out. Maybe you have some time to kill? Spoil yourself with a old timey hot towel shave, the Frontier experience is well worth it. Incredible people. Very clean. You will not be disappointed.

This is a super friendly place I always enjoy a wisky well my son get his hair cut we only lived in town for about 2 years now and so far this place is at the top of the list...cost wise is always the same as others maybe alittle more maybe a little less depending on where you go !! The best hidden gem in St. Catharines. I've been here twice now and each time Brittney has killed it. Now what really sets these guys a "cut" above the rest and really adds to the experience is they're fully licensed. I bartend in the region and I must say they have a terrific drink list of classic cocktails and some amazing local craft beer.

I visited Frontier today for the first time. I enjoyed a fresh coffee while waiting for my appointment and stopped by the bar for a cocktail afterwards. Coffee was great and brewed fresh to order. Brittney did an excellent job on the cut. The bar had a better selection than most pubs which was a pleasant surprise. Drink was excellent. Overall an great experience and will definitely stop by for another visit.

(Long review but worth it if you are viewing reviews) For my first time ever getting a hair cut done at this establishment I highly recommend this business for a number of reasons! Upon arrival I was greated at the front desk by an employee named Matt. He was kind and very personable: as i gave my information while briefly waiting for my appointment, him and I had a good conversation about novels and relating over the book I had just purchased moment before as I had just gone to a book store prior. He had also offered me a coffee in the mean time. As it was time for my appointment, Nikoletta the hair dresser was very friendly and extremely professional during the entire time I was there! During the haircut we spoke of our love for old historic buildings among other things and she had even given me a recommendation on a coffee shop situated in an old historic building in the area. During I was really impressed with the quality and professionalism in regards to the haircut while we bantered and had been very consistent with consulting on my opinion throughout. Everything from the hair cut to the straight razor clean up to my beard went without a hitch and at the end I was extremely happy with the result, so much so that I even asked even for her business card as I will be definitely going back as a returning customer. Disclaimer: I wasn't asked to write this review but based off my overall experience I made an effort to reaffirm both employees names so I could offer to write a review as I feel they deserve the recognition! Once again, very happy with the result and will definitely be going back!

Very bad overall experience due to a very incompetent and old female barber that did not know how to do my hairstyle/hairtype; yet she insisted she did. At the end of my haircut she confessed saying "to be honest, I struggled with it". For example, during my haircut, her and another level one barber were asing me how my haistyle worked and what they should do next. They made me feel like I did not belong. Not to mention they rushed my haircut to accomodate for another guy that had walked in even though it was just me in the store. I was very consious and embarrased of my hair over several months(really). Went to another barber in downtown and the barber took time with me; I was far much impressed with his work and his shop is just about a minute walk away. Explore your options before commiting to get your hair done here.

I absolutely love this place and it has become my go to place for a haircut. Lovely staff, fully licensed place (which can't hurt, who's gonna say no to a beer while you're getting your hair cut?). I know the owners a little bit and they are both lovely people and they've only added more great staff since. Do yourself a favor and check them out! It's on the pricey side, but if you have the money or you particularly care about getting your look on point, I recommend it. An excellent cut accompanied by the typical Canadian hospitality. PS. This is an update to a previous interview I wrote (Frontier Barbers & Co is still the best spot for a haircut in Salem in my opinion). While scheduling an appointment with my barber, Brian Gomez, recently, I noticed that he's offering a service called "The Frontier Deluxe". After trying it out, let me tell you... it is the absolute business! The Frontier Deluxe is a haircut, beard trim, and men's facial. The facial includes getting the gunk in your face removed via a black face mask, a skin treatment using, what seems to me to be, a small car wax polisher device, a moisturizer and a facial massage. While this is all going on, Brian turns on a humidifer and applies hot towels. It is absolutely fantastic. After getting the Frontier Deluxe, my wife told me for weeks afterwards how well my skin looked. It's literally an incredible gift to give yourself guys (Or ladies, get your man hooked up with this service). Brian is the best barber I've ever known. Check him out.
