Took my son in a few weeks ago. It was his first real time at a barber. Sal ( I think thats his name) did an amazing job on his hair. I felt bad because my son kept moving and he would have to go even it out everytime. He was firm but kind. It took awhile but I appreciated the attention to detail and making sure he came out of there with a quality hair cut. I would come back again and I'm sure as my son ages and begins to actually appreciate a good haircut he won't want to go anywhere else either.

My boyfriend called today to book an appointment and was taken back when someone who answered the phone somewhat annoyed and short with him. He asked who he normally sees. My boyfriend didn’t remember the exact name of the man who cut his hair since he hadn’t gotten a haircut since before covid. After naming a few names my boyfriend mentioned which names he recognized, Phu (also Bee). Apparently, Phu was in later and my boyfriend should call back in the afternoon when he was there and that they couldn’t help him until he was in. He said because of covid that they need to keep the same clients with the same barber. Not sure why that is since my boyfriend has seen a few different barbers here and would gladly take anyone. Not the first time my boyfriend has felt mistreated here. Good customer service goes a long way, he won’t be returning.

I've been seeing Louis here for about 2 years and don't go anywhere else. I'm the kind of guy who finds someone I like and stick to 'em. Louis is a great barber who's friendly and chatty when you come in in a good mood but knows when to just shut up and cut when you're on an off day. That's important. All in all great atmosphere, fair prices and good people. Also worth noting that from day 1 my wife said it's the best cut I've ever had!

Went in for a beard shape-up, lines etc and left a bit confused if I liked the service or not. The young man seemed as if I intimidated him for some reason and didn't show confidence when working on my beard. The trim/lines were good, but the hot towel had a distinct mildew sort of scent. When clothing/towels were sitting damp for a long time. Not a great way to end a shave.

I have been to this shop twice now, first time I met Fu (really hope this is the right spelling if it isn't I will edit it) and this time it was Louis. Both of them are absolutely amazing. They take pride in the work that they do, and take the time to understand their customers needs. I recently moved to Hamilton and was in search of a good barbershop. I went to this place on a Monday morning and had a bad experience. The guy who did my hair cut insulted me by saying my hair is the worst out of all the asians the he did a hair cut. He said my hair is so thick, springy, etc. And ended up not doing a good job. I'm 29 y/o and been to alot of barbers but this is the first time I've experienced someone complaining about my hair and actually saying it to me. I thought that was insensitive and unprofessional. I think he was just looking for an excuse as he knew he was already messing up my hair. I'm never coming back to this place and would not recommend it to anyone.

I’ve been coming here ever since I started going to school near by. Moved into residence at the college and was looking for a barber closer then Limeridge, and long story short I’m glad I gave the boys at Vintage a shot. The first to cut my hair was Phu (Sorry if spelled wrong) and he did a great job with the description I gave him and when Phu wasn’t available I had Sal cut my hair next and it was pretty much the same with him as well. So those are my go to barbers for a quick cut but most importantly the interesting conversations we get into which I believe is half the reason we go to Barbers, the interactions are important to keep customers coming back.

Best haircut in Hamilton, I am always very picky with where I go and these guys are great. The no appointments aspect is a little annoying sometimes as I have had to leave a few times because of excessive wait times but generally it is not too bad. The guys are always good for a laugh too, so that helps pass the time if you have to wait.

Went in for a beard trim....first time customer. Walked out with an uneven beard and a big bald spot.. I'm actually sad I chose this barber because I USED TO have a nice looking beard. Now I'm debating on weather or not to shave. Thanks guys! You suck

Unfortunately this place started to lose its vibe as Dave (manager) is less frequently in the place. He certainly the centre of the cool vibe and warm welcomers is such place. Today, the nail in the coffin was place as the Barber by passed me intentionally to cut another customer hair with no good reasoning. His rationale was this is between me and Amanda (the other barber) and customers have no said on that. Will the customer say "good buys". For fairness this place is easily can get 4-5 starts but they have to work hards on their customers service -which shouldn't be hard, need just nice altitude!-
