Honestly, getting my haircut is a chore. I just don't care that much. But when the time finally comes to drag my scruffy ass into a barber shop. It's Upper Cuts all-day-long. Any one can cut hair, but if you're looking for a good time in a great atmosphere, this is where you want to be.

Even though this is obviously not your typical family hair salon, I took my son and daughter, aged 10 and 11, because they wanted to have designs cut into their hair. The staff was awesome, and I couldn't thank them enough for the quality work they did.

Wanted a haircut for my son and came to this place for the first time. The barber (I think his name is Zac) was patient and great with my 2yo, and even gave a complimentary design on my son's hair with no extra charge. Will be returning for more haircuts!

Really great place! Definitely for men. Staff is super fun, happy, and polite. They also do beards and hot shaves. This is the place go if you need fades or designs. The atmosphere in the shop is easygoing and fun. Prices are inline with other men's hair cutters.

Everytime I need a haircut in Hamilton I go to uppercut. It can be hard to get appointments at times if you don't book ahead of time. But these guys are very good. I usually get my haircut with Ibrahim.

These guys are absolutely incredible. We got married this past friday, and the groomsmen all received beard trims, hair cuts, and styling before the wedding. They are extremely accommodating and very efficient. The groomsmen looked outstanding. We would highly recommend going to Upper Cuts for all your hair needs. Employees were rude when I came in. No one even said hello the first 5 min I was there. Very plane inside. Not professional at all. Workers wear jerseys (their uniform) and act like thugs. Not into that. Haircut was just o.k. Will not return.

I asked for fade and a line up, dude said he'd give me a mid made. Ended up with a super high fade, totally destroyed my line up, didn't even level the top properly I have patches of hair sticking up. When he asked how it was after i had such little faith in his skill to cut black hair i just left. Im literally driving to Toronto tomorrow to have this fixed. Maybe they do a good job on other races, but don't try and cut a black guys hair if you clearly know you're not skilled at it. Do not go here if you're black and looking for a fade.

I went to Upper Cuts for the first time today. I was I was not happy with the way the guy was cutting my hair and I told him to stop and that I was leaving. On my way out the door, another guy (who I later found out was the owner) asked me how it went. When I told him it didn't go well, he brought me back inside and finished cutting my hair and did a great job of it. What was definitely a negative experience at the beginning, turned into a positive one. You can tell that the owner cares about his customers and it shows. I will definitely return to have my hair cut again.

Came here for a haircut left very unhappy with the haircut AGAIN. Asked for a low fade but instead the barber didn't change his guards and used one level to buzz the whole head looking more like a garbage high fade. I remained loyal to these guys for too long this has happened more than once... Time to switch barbers.

This barber shop is the best I have been too. All of the employees are down to earth, every barber can cut really good. My barber Moe Taper is the man! Always on time, pays attention to detail and makes sure I am happy with my cut before finishing. P.s the mobile online appointment booking app makes life so easy, huge bonus of dealing with Uppefcuts!! Keep up the good work guys!! I would definitely recommend this barber shop to anyone!

Went in asked for a fade the barber just buzzed the sides of my head with no blend or anything seemed like he was half asleep because that how my haircut turned out. They charge over $30 for inconsistent work and unprofessionalism. I would recommend going to another barber if you want a proper fade.

Best barbershop in town! I used to switch around a lot when it came to getting my haircut, looking for the place that was the best. First time I went to uppercuts, I was amazed. They cut my hair so well, and did it very quick too. Have been going for over a year now and I will always come here for my hair needs.

I wish there was a no star or half a star option. Booked an appointment over the app went in for a beard & hair lineup. Ended up with a line in the back of neck that was due to the trimmer used by the barber. My suggestion is book and only go in if you know who the barber is. Absolute worse experience.

I really love this place. All the barbers here are hardworking guys who love what they do. I tried many different shops in and around the city before I found this spot. It's my go-to now... and the app based reservation system is fantastic. I'm always getting compliments on my hair and the quality of the fade. These guys keep it tight. ????

Had a disaster of a cut elsewhere, the owner did a touch up job for me because I didn’t want to go any shorter so he did what he could and he did it at no cost!!! Wasn’t even his stores screw up!!! Solid service, went back the next day when I realized I’d have to go shorter because of how uneven the front was and the flare in parts.. Abe did an amazing job salvaging my hair, did a nice clean fade.. rounded the top nicely.. 10/10 would recommend!!!!

As a frequent, loyal, and generous client I have recently been very disappointed. The professionalism has been gone for a while now. In my opinion, the atmosphere is very lackadaisical and carefree. I’ve waited 15-20 minutes for appointments 3-4 times now, been double booked, and had the barber interrupted by his personal phone/texting during my cut numerous times. Last few have felt very rushed. This place used to be more enjoyable to go to

Terrible job on my son's hair, we are going to have to have it fixed elsewhere. The hairline at the base of his neck is nowhere near even, not even close. There is absolutely no way that Zac could not see this and still he did nothing to fix it. We will take our business elsewhere.
