Great place to get your hair cut. Cheap, quick, clean and no messin' around. Parking can be a lil tough (I pretty much refuse to pay for parking), but it's right downtown, so whatcha expect? I'll be going here from now on.

Great service. Some might find them pushy or impatient. Not so gentle with the electronic razors but otherwise a great place to get a fade! Can't speak on how well they do a line up, but I'd definitely recommend Du Placey's.

Be careful... The barber by the window will reuse the straight-razor if you are not watching. The first time it happened to me, I wasn't sure as I wasn't paying attention, and the second time I caught him and got really upset and told him to change the blade NOW! I assure you, no joke. If this post will make sure he never does it again?? Good.. Consider yourself saved and warned. I went for blood tests a few times after to screen for blood bourne pathogens, and I was lucky. He knows, and I will go to his face and say it again, but I will also bring public health.

I've been going to this barber shop since 1991 when it was on King William. Befor that I went to one on Parkdale but that barber past away in 1998. Three years later I found Du Placey's. And stuck with it since. The original man was the best but the guys that took over the shop from him are top notch as well. I'm on my way there now for an Ishtar cut.

went in to get an undercut, I actually showed him the picture and I told the barber not to touch the top of my hair, then he ends up cutting the top and in process of that he cuts my ear and I still end up paying... never going back again

I have been going Duplacey's Barber shop for over 15 years, getting the best haircuts from Luigi. Since his passing Bazim now owns and runs the shop perfectly. Great service and prices. Both barbers cut hair meticulously with care - old school with a modern touch. Highly recommend going there.
