Larry is one of the owners as well as my goto stylist. Im very particular with my hair and I've never been disappointed with Backstage Oakville. Honesty is to see and experience for yourself. This is a fabulous salon. Professionalism and integrity are beyond reproach ! Sometimes I just walk in to say a quick hello to everyone (even if I do not have an appt.) as that is how comfortable they make you feel as a client. The staff take time to get to know you not just as a client, but as a person. They are very personable, very caring, and the ambiance is light, fun and loving. Expect to relax and share a few smiles, a few laughs; as well as leaving there rocking out your style, feeling energized and rejuvenated ! The camaraderie among the staff is great, they will leave you feeling like you are a part of their family. THANK YOU for always making my experience a positive one !!!

A completely honest review: I had a hair cut on Friday night, the hair dresser curled the ends and I will admit that I was happy with it when I left. By the time I got home after running errands most of the curl had fallen out so I straightened it which is how I normally wear it, this is when I saw it was uneven and not at all what I asked for. By the time I noticed this they were closed so I called Saturday morning, we made an appointment for It to be fixed. I went in the wednesday evening and I am pleased to say that I was well taken care of and I now love my hair. A big thank you to Larry to helping me in my hair crises!

Diane was the stylist for my teenage son who is very particular about his hair. She educated him on caring for his hair type (fine & curly) and answered all of my questions honestly. She is very pleasant and easy to talk to. Last but not least she gave him a style that he is very happy with (while trying to grow his hair to a longer length) and a highlight colour for the front. I was very happy that she used scissors and not a razor. Best compliment of all is that he will be back. Other stylists in the salon were friendly and down to earth as well. Very nice atmosphere and they offer you tea or coffee while you are waiting.

The only place I will go to get my hair done! I literally drive from St. Catharines to Oakville to get my hair done by Anna. She is the hair queen! Anna has been cutting my hair for awhile, and I decided to do my first ever professional colour (full head highlights) yesterday and I am absolutely in LOVE with my hair! I had to travel all the way to Oakville due to the "Grey zone" that's still in the works for Mississauga for "God" knows how long. Was my first visit here today, very friendly staff, I was kinda scared they would mess up the particular style that I wanted and to my surprise they did a great job with my hair. I'm one who is very picky about certain styles especially with barbers who can't cut my Asian hair properly. Very pricey... I was chocked when stylist charged me 45 dollar for a hair trim and blow dry for my daughter who is 5 years old. Please revise your price list to have reasonable prices for kids haircut when it is as simple as this.

Pretty pricey.. they gave me a price for my hair colouring and then had to use more bleach and a lot more toner than expected and the price continued to go up as my appointment went on. However, already mid-process, I can't really say no and leave with my hair partially bleached and toned. Ended up being double what I was told initially. However it did turn out amazing and I was VERY happy with the final look.

I went in requesting a trim, literally took 5 minutes to trim the ends of my hair. They told me that "a trim" is considered a full cut and charged me $55.00. That's more than it costs me to get a blow dry/straighten which usually comes to $40.00. I couldn't believe it especially since I'm a frequent customer. I paid $55 for something that would've cost me $15 at the most anywhere else. It turned me off, won't be going there as much anymore.

I called to ask about the keratin treatment. I checked the website, it says they use liquid keratin/ Global Keratin and there's a website for the product that Looks like the real website but it's not. Anyways I contacted the global keratin and they said that they dont have any certified salons in ontario rhat could use the product and that they only have salons in quebec and vancouver that are certified. I also had a representative from the global keratin company call them and ask if they use it but they denied.

First of all wanted to say the people that work here are beyond welcoming and the atmosphere is calming and relaxing. I recently moved to Oakville and needed a new hair dresser as my previous hair lady was too far for me to commute to.... and then i had found Carmen????. Shes one of the best that deffinitely knows what she is doing. Beyond how amazing she is at her job; she is also a very sweet and nice woman to speak with. I recently came in and requested for ombre and baylage with blonde. I was told by the stylist who was perhaps in her early 40's, fringe bangs with shoulder length brown hair that it was not realistic because my hair was too dark. She then proceeded to convince me to do something different, even though I had told her I was willing to take the risk. She then realized that my hair lifted very well with the blonde, however it was quite evident that the reason why she was trying to convince me to not do ombre/ baylage was because SHE HAD NO IDEA WHAT THE HELL SHE WAS DOING. She over charged me 226$ for half a head of highlights (which was not even toned properly). She did not do ombre/ baylage, and for the work she did, I could have gone else where and payed half the price for the mediocre job she did. The place was completely empty, I came in early afternoon for my appointment and not one single customer had come in during that time. The ironic thing about this is that I requested for a "senior" stylist, assuming that with seniority comes great knowledge and experience.....DEFINITELY not the case

Horrible salon. First time i went there.. all good. Second time went in for a root touch up just some partial highlights and was charged $250 after the stylist changed what she was doing without telling me and somehow got the price up to $250. When i called to ask about this i was treated horribly and then told by the stylist that she does not want to associate with me because i questioned the price. Also when i questioned the price i was told that no one is going to give u a discount just because ur financial situation is weak.... Honestly the worst experience i've had at a salon

Suggested to implement calling ahead to remind clients about their appointments would be beneficial to both parties.
