What can I say!! Found this place and chose Dan as my barber. I’ve been to a lot of places in the city and I’ve never been happy with my haircut. Seen Dan was an apprentice, checked out some of his cuts and liked what I seen. Best haircut I’ve received in my life no exaggeration. He’s focused, dedicated, always does a perfect job on my hair. Matter of fact it gets better each time. What’s most important is his passion for the craft!! I’ll be getting a haircut from no one else as long as he’s cutting. He’s putting in work! Keep an eye out as he will be full time at lucky cat barbershop, a totally chill and relaxed place. Good vibes????

This is an amazing spot. It's the only barber shop that I've been to where I didn't feel like cattle being herded in and out of tight time slots. Ashley, Logan, and Neil are amazing people who do quality work. They take their time and are always friendly. Going for a trim and seeing these 3 is definitely something I look forward to. Ashley has been cutting my hair/trimming my beard since 2015 and I've never had a complaint, ever.. Not even one. After my first time in this weekend, I can say the service and atmosphere here is great. Ashley took her time to figure out exactly what I wanted for my hair cut, and checked in periodically throughout the appointment to make sure things were as desired. The location is walk able from downtown Dartmouth, and there was enough parking at "peak times" while I was there.

Just got another haircut from the amazing barbers at Lucky Cat. Can't say enough good things about the barbershop and the barbers. First of all, the location of Lucky Cat at King's Wharf is perfect, right on the waterfront. Once you arrive, the vibes inside the barbershop are super chill. Well decorated, spacious, great music, and best of all, dogs! I have been seeing Neil for a couple years now and he always has me looking my best. He is a great guy who is always down for fun and interesting conversation while providing me with the best haircuts I've ever received! Neil could move his shop to Chester and I would still drive there to have him do my hair. I have had my hair done by every barber in the shop at one point or another and I have always left extremely satisfied. They're just great people who truly enjoy cutting hair and working together! If you're looking for an amazing haircut, great conversation, and chill vibes, Lucky Cat Barbershop is the place for you!

I'd recommend going to Lucky Cat over any other barber shop in N.S for a simple reason....you know you're going to get an amazing cut..every single time. Great atmosphere and good prices! If you go once, you'll understand what I mean. My friends go here too, and they love it as well. The owners really know what they're doing and from the moment you walk in they treat you extremely well. Convenient location, even when you live in hali, 10 min drive or so and parking spots are easy to find.

Great guys, they just don’t know how to cut hair. Heavy on the scissors, non-productive and just your standard run of the mill hipster style shop. If you’re used to a quality cut, straight razor, fine lines etc .. I wouldn’t recommend. IMO

Got a haircut yesterday at the luckycatbarbershop.com yesterday. I called them for an appointment but all of the barbers were booked.......I was informed that I could get a spot with their apprentice, it would be free, and it would take alittle longer. This was not a problem. This young man was not only on time but was the most professional, friendly and compassionate person I have ever dealt with. I must apologize, I did not remember his name because the reason for my impromptu haircut was I had to go to a funeral of a close family member, brain was somewhat mush. Anyways, this young man as I said was one of the most personable, down to earth personeone would like to meet. Having recently moved from the Scotland i have tried a few of the local Barbers and had not yet found one that took care of a face full of fuzz.. However! Neil knows his way around a gentleman's`s face forest like a butcher knows his way around some meat, like a mechanic around his tools and of course like a gynecologist around ....well you know. I booked in for the beard trim and shave, i was tired of the usual looks where people quickly question `Hipster or Hobo` ...this issue was quickly resoled with his expect sculpting (I would genuinely consider booking Neil if i ever wanted to take up some topiary in my garden) Following my sculpting is was on to the shave, now this process was not rushed...care was taken to soften the hairs, prepare the follicles and relax the skin, This was done with an array of magic ointments and scrubs (i had my beard massaged...iv never had my beard massaged...it was nice)..once the carefully orchestrated process was complete i was as fresh and dapper as could be, a new man, a happy man. The shop also located on the new kings Wharf is a lovely modern take on its Japanese name and traditional Barbershop style, It was clean, tidy had candy and no one was allowed to run with scissors so a very welcoming environment indeed. In Short Neil gets a solid 9.9/10 , i would love to give 10/10 but without a little to work for we all never strive for that perfection.
