This place is close to CFB Stadeconna. The ladies here will give you a top notch fade and will toss in a few extras like friendly hilarious conversations and AMAZING scalp massages. My go to place for a haircut when I'm in the city.

Been going for 10 years. Anna is particularly good with man cuts. Her attention to detail makes your cut look fresh even after 3 weeks. Just make sure you tip appropriately for the extra time spent.

The place is cozy and the staff are professional yet friendly. The parking lot can be atrocious, but there is usually parking somewhere around. The quality is good, and the prices are very reasonable. There are not very many products here, but it is to cut hair more than to sell products. I would recommend this place.

Great cuts, great barbers... however if you're not sure what you want done you'll have to prod the hairstylist a little bit for her ideas. Sometimes they'll just start cutting your hair without telling you what they're doing. Not terribly understanding of trendy hairstyle virgins, but if you let them go free. Give them some parameters they'll be some of the best cuts you've ever gotten.

I have always have a great experience when going to get a hair cut at Helen's. I have been following Helen since her first location on Windsor Street almost 15 years ago, and will continue to as long as I'am posted in Halifax. Waiting clients are offered complimentary coffee or spring water and the service has always been top notch.

I walked in because my car was in the shop and I had to wait for it. I asked if i need an appointment and they said no. Few minutes later they say i need to wait for another 20 minutes because she did not realize she had an Appointment coming in soon. I said I will wait. then the other hair dresser said she can take me in. She : - she used an older straight razor on me - did not ask me how short i need my hair just started cutting - finished my cut in literally 4 mns - did not clean my face and neck after the cut - smelled like stinking smoke
