I showed up on time for my pre-booked haircut. The co-owner/barber Dylan was not there and subsequently called the shop 15 minutes after my scheduled time to say he was running late and that I would need to be rebooked. Total waste of my time.

Just moved to the neighborhood a month ago........I had a hairdresser that did my hair for 4 yrs (he moved his shop out of the city) Been walking by Churches for the past month......I tried out Dylan and Churches today. He was such a nice young guy and a super barber! He gave me a super cut (short on sides....long on top) Just as great or even better cut as my long time hairdresser.......Dylan is my new neighborhood Barber! Glad I gave them a try :-) Sandy

New to the Halifax area, I decided to use Church's Barbershop for my haircut. Dylan was highly personable and meticulous with the cut, ensuring that the hair was cut and styled as I desired. Despite having multiple buzz cuts before getting the cut, he was able to style it to my liking and create the look which I had envisioned. One slight area of improvement could be the fade which wasn't as smooth on the back and sides as was illustrated in the image I showed. Hair could've been taken down to the skin, eliminating the grainy texture but on the whole, this was a great experience.

I take both my teenage boys to Churches and Wesley does an amazing job every time. They are both very fussy and won't let anyone else cut their hair. Love the barber shop and the atmosphere there. All the barbers are so friendly.

Did the exact opposite of what I asked for. I asked for the back length to be maintained as much as possible and cut the front to get the hair out of my eyes. He basically brush cut the back and left the front long. Had my back turned to the mirror the whole time so I never knew what was happening, never checked in with me to ask if what he was doing was ok. Now I have to live with this disaster for two months waiting for my hair to grow back. Worst haircut ever. (Later - I just went to another place to have this disaster fixed. The stylist showed me where he had cut hair more than two inches in different lengths right next to each other in several spots; in one spot a good three inches difference. He left the front sides bushing out in complete disproportion to the rest of the cut. Just completely incompetent.)
