Professional cut, great atmosphere, friendly staff. I usually see Joel, and he does an excellent job with my cut. He treats his craft like he’s working on a piece of art. He’s meticulous to make sure you look sharp and fresh. He’s gentle (other places in Guelph left me with cuts and red marks) and friendly. He’s also quite knowledgeable about being barber and Guelph. As for the shop itself, I love the decor. It’s got a slick vibe with great music, a big screen tv with leather couches to play PS4 as you wait. The guys make you feel like you’re one of them. This is my go-to place for cuts in Guelph.

My buddy always had a sharp cut so I had ask where he goes. I booked an apt with the team at Captain Cutz and they certainly did not dissapoint. Attention to detail is key and they have high standards in this area. On top of the amazing cut the atmosphere is unreal. Enjoyed my time. Lastly the customer service is huge. Yunis gave me a call before my appointment to see if I wanted a coffee. That's going above and beyond. I booked my next apt before I left...just go here..and feel good about looking our best.

I've been coming here for the past 4 years (approx) and I always enjoy getting a nice fresh cut. I can book an appointment online that will work with my schedule and I just show up and they're ready for me. I also love that they don't rush the cut either. I would recommend this place for adults but also for kids/teens. Inside they also have a large TV , video game console as well as a pool table which only adds its cool factor for me.

Awful. The guy that was cutting my hair seemed very inexperienced, as the haircut wasn’t very good for 25 dollars, and I believe that he did not clean his tools properly, resulting in me having sores all over my face, neck and upper chest. Considering there was an hour long delay on my appointment with the person I actually scheduled with, I am very disappointed, and frankly disgusted. Do not waste your money here.

Walking into the shop I was greeted by the guys working there in the friendliest manner. I showed up to my appointment about 10 mins early but they started my cut right away; I didn't have to wait at all. The barber I was with, Amin, was exceptional at making small talk, was very friendly, and had a great conversation with me. These guys are the best at what they do, second to none. Definitely recommend to anyone visiting/living in the Guelph area.

When I showed up for my appointment, they had booked one of their "friends who texted them" at the same time that my cut was supposed to be at. Instead of sending me to a different barber for this mistake (which there were open barbers), they expected me to wait for their friend to finish their cut... I ended up sitting in the waiting area for a half an hour, was not offered anything in return for the mistake (not even offered a coffee while waiting). After 30 minutes I just walked out. Complete disrespect of my time.

Tried two times. First time they cancelled my appointment last minute because of staffing issues. Second time my appointment was for 630. Waited till 7:05 patiently for my turn. That's when the guy said he's had a long day and proceeded to go have a cigarette outside. That's when I left. I've been going to these guys when they opened there first shop by the post office downtown. They are very welcoming and also extremely knowledgable in what they do. The 2 new guys are also very good at cutting. Never have they let me down with a haircut always leave feeling happy. To even go over the top they have a pool table and a tv while your waiting for a cut can play some pool and make new friends. It's a great and lively place.

Booked an appointment for my son Saturday at 230pm. Showed up at 215, 230 came and went and was told the website screwed up our booking. There was 2 people also in there waiting, those two people got in and we figured we were next.....nope. More customers ( friends of the barbers) came in gave some fist pumps to the guys and proceeded to get into chairs as we sat and waited. After 45 min of waiting we decided to leave. Was said sorry about this, would you like to rebook? My son really wanted to go here, so I said sure when tonorrow can we come? Guy said I have a client at noon so come for 11am.....showed up and they are not even open, waited until 1130 and went home.....Lots of great hairstylists out there....dont recommend this one.

I have been to countless of barbers throughout the GTA as well as the KW area and none of them have been able to compare to Captain Cutz. I would highly recommend anyone to this establishment for a professional haircut. I have been getting my haircut here for the last two years and have yet to have a cancellation. There is always entetainment while waiting for your cut, such as PS3, PS4, and even pool table. There is never a dull moment in this barbershop. I am always greeted with a smile everytime I come in and the barbers here are always welcoming. Again, for anyone looking for a cut i recommend this place. The barbers here are very professional and take pride in their work.
