I want start off by saying that the staff are extremely friendly. However, if you value your hair, and the time it takes to grow hair, don't go here. I honestly don't normally bother writing negative reviews, however, I make an exception here. I went in yesterday and specifically asked for a very little off the back, that was it. The hair dresser ended up cutting at least 4 inches of left all around in an attempt to blend in some modern stylish cut(the complete opposite from what I asked for). Following her "trim", she took out her thinning shears and went to town on my hair again... Thinning shears are honestly the most overused tool in the barber industry. My hair is plentiful, but fine. Not the type of hair you want to use thinning shears on!!! To summarize, I went in to have a maximum of an inch removed from the back, and a sad attempt of a mushroom cut was the end result I received... So to all the future patrons of Salon Jacques, beware of the friendly staff and steer clear of this place if you value your hair length and the time it requires to grow! Friendly service, reasonable pricing BUT: I asked for a sort of undercut (short sides, long on the top) and it seemed like the barber had no clue what he was doing. I ended up with a very short haircut even tho I only wanted short sides. I even showed him a picture of the haircut I wanted.
