Went to Nick's today and got to sit in Fahad's chair for the first time. The guy gave me one of the best cuts I have ever had. Trimmed the eyebrows, mustache, beard, hairline, back neck, everything. Must have spent 30-40 minutes on me. then he asks for $18 only. This guy is easily worth a $40-50 cut/shave at a fraction of the cost! Thanks Fahad, I will be coming back regularly.

Very good barber in Windsor. Quick service, nice and polite people. Sometimes, have to wait for few minutes specially on Sunday. They have number of pictures from where you can select your haircut or you can show them any picture and they'll cut accordingly. Overall, nice experience.

It's great value for the cut but there are some barbers who will do a better job than others. My first visit had the barber cut a part of my hair that created the transition between the cut short and my pushed over hair. I also got a beard trim but he didn't straight shave my neck line and did exactly what I would have at home.. The second time I had a much better experience, although I didn't do the beard trim. The haircut came out looking good and the transitions were top notch. But it was different barber. When I go back I will make sure to get a barber I trust.

This shop doesn't know how to cut medium to long hair. I went in with shoulder length hair, asked for a light trim on top and back and heavier trim on the sides to get rid of the bushiness. The lady barber didn't bother to trim the top or back, but decided to buzz both sides of my head and I came out with a lopsided redneck mullet. Had to go to another shop just get it fixed up into a decent cut.

confirmed my online booking as I had not received the confirmation email. was assured my appt was in the system. when we arrived we waited 1/2 an hour outside, and then had to be fit in. Our appt was lost and all they said was "the appt wasn't in the system, but that's ok".... hmm, not really; an apology would have been much better, preferably a sincere one, rather than the unfriendly-faced reception we received from the (female) barber once we finally made it off the doorstep. (waited outside of course bc of covid; no problem there) Then, the cut was so bad I had to take my son elsewhere to have it corrected. (it wasn't apparent at first as it was styled into place, but could not be maintained at all once it was washed. it was a terrible cut.

I do not go for haircuts often, but when I do, this is my go-to place. On the last visit, I really did not know what I wanted, but Nick himself did. He cut my hair exactly like I wanted, even though my explanation was convoluted and vague, and I stopped looking like a q-tip! This is where I bring my son, aka the boy (now 13) when he needs a haircut as well. He is always pleased with the result and they always cut it the way he asks after consulting with him. The atmosphere is friendly and all the barbers are competent. Cash only, but they have a cash machine onsite if you forget to bring the real stuff. They can be busy at times, especially after school, but they have plenty of magazines to read and there is usually a soccer match on the television to watch while you wait your turn. Seriously, if you want a haircut from a barber and not a fly-by-night stylist at one of those chains, this the place. Their prices are comparable to these "fast-cut" shops. Plus, you may just get a lollipop; I like the orange ones! Go to Nick's in Manotick and get a great traditional cut.

Don't know if the other guy was Nick but the guy who cut my hair was more bothered with some stupid soccer match going on and wasted 10-15mins of my time on his phone. As for the haircut, he was so harsh with the tools (or whatever they're called), it was painful and i just wanted to get it over with...At the end, he hinted for a tip two times but i was so damn pissed and dissatisfied that I just walked out...I wont come here again...Nor do I understand the others giving this place good reviews...

Nick's Barber Shop is my go-to place for a fast & decent haircut from now on! I just moved here and was in search for a barber shop with a buzz cut around $20 since I'm a broke college student. It's location is just 2~3 mins walk from the closest bus stop. Besides, it's right on the main street so it's really easy to spot. My barber that day was Parvaneh. She was a gem! I believe she used at least three kinds of trimmers to refine my hair. The result was amazing. My hair had never been so rounded and smoothly shaped with only one buzz cut. I had no doubt in her profession & talents. Also, she's open to requests and suggestions, and, as an experienced barber, she would come up with even better ideas & advice. So if you're a guy studying in college rn, plz check out Nick's Barber Shop to get yourself polished. It's definitely worth the time and cost since your head won't look like a jungle anymore :)

It’s taken me years of getting my hair cut at barbershops around Vancouver to find a no fuss, high quality and good value cut! But the search is finally over! I’ve Googled best barbers in Vancouver and have been to almost all of them but why go and pay $40 - $50 to have some pretentious hipster who’s been cutting hair for 3 year wield the scissors, when you can have a down to earth gentleman, who’s been cutting hair longer than that hipster has been alive, take care of your precious follicles. I’ve been getting my haircuts at Nick’s for about 9 months now and I’ve always walked out happy! Best part about it though… Is that it only costs you $25 and that includes a $7 tip! So do yourself a favour and get your next trim at Nick’s!

Five star haircut and experience in the COVID barber era at Nick's barber shop. Right when I walked in the door there was hand sanitizer and masks available to help keep everyone safe. There was also two seating areas where one can sit, socially distanced and both are equipped with coatracks. This barber shop is the gold standard for pandemic safety during COVID times! They are back open for business as of June 2020! As always, great value to quality ratio. A bit of a wait, it’s a first come first served queuing system, no reservations. Each cut is about 15 minutes so walk by to see how many are seated waiting to estimate your wait time. Cuts are $16 tax in before tips. Masks are recommended but not enforced here. Lastly, cash only, no cards. If you live or work around the area, this is a great place to go for a cut!

Pretty decent haircut for the price, but wouldn't recommend if you have a specific style in mind and are keen on it. Told them to try and cut my hair like one of the pictures they had on their wall, and it turned out very different. Oh well. Cash only too, so make sure you've got some. Barbers are nice though, not a bad experience.

Dont bother getting your haircut from the tall old bloke. Only get it from Mirri. This used to be a fun shop with good conversations but now both the guys looks uninterested ans sometimes irritated. They rarely smile. The haircut is good though and relatively cheap also. But there are other shops that I have found that offer similar quality and price - Top Cut Barbers in Dunbar (they have student discount too and a better looking shop)

Thanks Nick's Barber Shop.. I went to the new shop that had only been open for about 2 months. As a barber in the UK, I was very selective about where I came for a cut while visiting Windsor and defiantly made the right choice. Clean, friendly, well presented shop with some seriously skilled barbers. I left buzzing and more than happy with my cut. My fade was flawless and they used aftershave and pomade on me, both smelled amazing and the pomade held really well. Great guys, lots of laughs and a great shop to get a cut in. Highly recommended from a professional barber. ☺☺☺

My advice is to wait for the owner to cut your hair, the tall older man that cut mine had botched my hair; uneven and patchy cut that had gone way too far up the sides. Impressively the owner noticed my dissatisfaction and attempted his best to correct it, but there was not much left to salvage. Overall just wait for the owner, the other barbers are a hit or miss.

Usually a decent cheap place to get haircuts. Don't expect anything stylish or attention to details but just the basics. Why I have given two stars is becuase the main guy Miri often lets other people a go even if the newcomers have been sitting and waiting for long. Don't better getting the haircut from the tall old bloke or the lady. Also, you are better off going for a quick basic cut and no beard trimming or styling.

This is usually my go-to barbershop in Windsor, but unfortunately my latest experience wasn’t the best. The stylist who cut my hair seemed a bit distracted and left some sides uneven. However, I am giving this shop four-stars as usually they do a great job in a reasonable amount of time for a fair price. Would recommend if you’re a student at the U, but make sure you give clear instructions!

These guys are great, I've been going to them for about 8 months (1-2 times a month) and I've yet to have a haircut that wasn't exactly what I wanted. Update: I got a cut by one of the dudes there who's not Nick or his son. Showed him a pic of what I wanted and he totally disregarded it. Ended up looking like a mad scientist instead of getting that undercut I wanted and had to shave off my hair. 6 months of growth down the drain all because he didn't listen to basic instructions / use aides provided.

I don’t want to be to mean but now I think he should maybe retire. Went here for the first time last month and forgot to write a review… best cut I’ve had in years with little to no instruction on how I wanted it cut. I asked them to tidy it up and use there judgment with regards to the style and pointed out some things that I “disliked” about my last cut… My last barber cut the crown far to short, fully missed a lot of random hairs, additionally, he left to much on one side of my head and it looked really weird (not stylish, it looked like someone had a few to many and then cut your hair). The cut was spot on, quite quick and the price is more than reasonable for the service and experienced staff they provide for customers. I’m heading over for a cut this morning and if I have the same experience, they will have my business and recommendations for the foreseeable future!

By far the WORST haircut i have EVER gotten..... Cash only with is inconvenient and no signage to say so ... The women who was was cutting hair was very very rude and also passed remarks because i had a small amount of gel in my hair which nothing a comb wouldn't get out and it did .... Just needed a quick trim and was in a rush. Gave the lady working there some basic instructions to clean up the sides and remove 1 inch of length from the top. She buzzed the back top of my head to remove the Calic which she wasn't supposed to do and without asking. Looks ridiculous...when she showed me I was in a bit of shock and mentioned that she really should of asked before proceeding to do that. Where she began to argue that it needed to be done and the barber before did it wrong. Not sure What I expected from a $14 hair cut but that wasn't it.

WORST PLACE-------- I don't know who is nick in that store. When i visit there for hair cut, 3 people are working everyone are Arabic. If you are not one of those habibi community guy stay of that place, don't even think of getting a shave there. Here is my story for telling that. They made me to wait for 2 hours.when they see there community guy they will give a hair cut to them first they don't really care about you even if you are the first one in the line of waiting. They are not even giving a explanation for doing that to me. I never seen such a disgusting people in my life. # ended up not getting a haircut # give respect for being a human, not for so called community's.

Always friendly, but the focus is on getting the cuts done and on to the next client. We will be Customers for many years to come.
