Nice place with friendly staff and a good cut. Once they start serving brews (imminently) that will add an interesting touch. Apparently they will have a decent selection of micro brew in cans and on tap. I am happy to have a convenient new barber shop to use.

Best place in Kingston to cut your hair. Not only can you have a drink before/during/after your cut, but convenient pre-booking means no waiting around. Also, they take safety seriously, so I feel completely comfortable during COVID.

The cut overall wasn't bad. However attention to detail wasn't there. Sides and back were cut far shorter than I asked and I was never shown the back of my head after the cut. Granted I should have asked for it, if it matters so much, but didn't even occur to me until it was too late. After the cut no effort was made to clean the hair off of me, with either a blow-dryer or a brush. Would I give the place another shot? Yes, but with a different barber.

Beware. After asking for a simple fade with very little off the top, my barber proceeded to cut half the length off my top (2.5" removed) and clipped the sides to a an even no. 1, instead of fading it. She told me that winter was coming, and that there was plenty on top. This was six weeks ago and my hair is still choppy and uneven as it is growing out. Adorable haircut, but basic requests were are agreed to and ignored. Would not recommend if you have a specific haircut that you want to get, it may not match what you are given. Once the cutting begins its too late.

From what I can tell, my barber couldn’t read my head shape or hairline like I would expect for the price ($28 with tax). He gave me a uniform length on the sides and back when I asked for a taper, and the front was cut uneven so that I can only ever wear my hair to one side in a particular style. Maybe it was a communication error but I’ve received a haircut of equal quality from much cheaper barbers in Kingston before this. Otherwise the atmosphere was nice and they seem to have a large client basis with positive reviews so my haircut was probably a fluke.
