Dino’s is the only place to go for a haircut in Kingston. One of my favorite parts is when Pat and Nicole jokingly bicker about things like the radio, which only makes the place feel like home. All the staff are super friendly, and they do their best to make you look amazing, even if you’re getting the classic bowl cut. Also, Nicole won’t bite, she’s just a little skittish around people.

Terrible customer service, terrible experience overall. haircut took a total of 8 mins. Was not asked how I wanted the cut, she pretty much had basically cut all the hair off of my head, and then asked me if that was good length after the fact. it seemed like she just wanted to get to the next customer as quickly as possible, I would rather pay the extra 5-7 bucks and get a proper cut, with someone who takes pride in their work. NEVER GOING BACK AGAIN. I went with my buddy and he described his haricut as the "WORSE....Haircut.....EVER!!""..

My wife convinced me to finally try Dino's barber shop on princess street. First time there they gave me EXACTLY what I wanted without me having to explain it to them like they are children because thats what I had to do at First Choice on Montreal street. Cut was $13 and looked awesome Gladly gave the lady a $20. Dino's is now my go to spot.

Felt really rushed. Insulted my hairstyle (it this like a mohawk, or did someone mess up your line?) I asked for it to be 1.5" long on top, and first they gave me 2.5" long. When I pointed out that it was too long, they cut it to 2". I asked for it to be tapered shorter on the side and back, and they just didn't. Didn't even touch the hair around my ear.

First time ever I had to walk out without getting all of my hair cut. When I told the woman that she had messed it up she kept claiming that it was what my hair was supposed to look like and she couldn’t cut it any longer with scissors. All around absolutely abysmal staff. Probably one of the worst if not the worst places in Kingston

I really love this place. My barber shop was closed for the week and I feeling like trying something new, Dino’s is great for a cheap, fun and great haircut. But at first I was skeptical as any man would be if they are trying a new barber but i love my haircut and it was a great experience. Also I really love the way they genuinely cared for you. For instance I lost a twenty dollar bill and everyone jumped to their feet looking for it.

I was surprised to see the polarizing reviews on this shop so I decided I'll give my experiences with Dinos: I'm a guy with short hair, so they would always buzz cut the sides, which I am totally fine with. I would give them specific instructions to thin out the top with those special scissors, and they would always do a good job for me. They would even comment on my cowlick and give me suggestions as to how to minimize its appearance. Sometimes they would shave my neck without me asking, which is an extra treat. Once I asked for a facial shaving and they complied, all for 10 dollars. I would go to their place during the weekends and usually the wait isn't longer than several minutes. People who have bad experiences with them probably go during other times when they're busy. I'm not sure why there are so many bad reviews of this place but I have been getting my hair cut from these guys for almost 4 years and they have yet to fail me.

My 1st hair cut in Kingston after I moved from Montréal and landed there just be chance, it was a lady who was at the saloon and I was quite skeptical as I have always had men do my butchering ????,anyways I took a chance coz I was in a mess after the long lockdown. My friend has an apartment near this shop and due to covid restrictions we have been saying our goodbyes after going on walks at her front door (rather than going inside). Today, a woman who works at Dino's angrily opened the door to the shop and told us to "go away" because we were preventing customers from entering the store (which was not the case). when we explained to her that we were simply saying goodbye, she told us once more to either stand in the middle of the sidewalk or go somewhere else. This was a very negative and unprovoked experience, as we we're standing in front of my friends residency and not the actual shop itself. As a kingston resident who was trying to follow covid guidelines and supports local businesses, especially during a pandemic, this interaction was truly disgusting.

She shaved off most of my hair very uneven and left it thick and short the exact oposite of what I asked. Paid for what I got make sure to bring cash becuase they dont accpet anything else and their ATM has a 2$ fee.

Worst haircut I have ever had. Whatever you do, DO NOT ASK FOR BARBARA. Rude, unprofessional, entitled, and made my hair look worse than if i had cut it myself. You would think she were having the worst day of her life from the tone of her voice and the halfhearted way she cut hair. Seriously, she seemed like she wanted to get fired. In fact that's the only logical explanation I can come up with for someone being this rude and incompetent. I've had some bad haircuts in my time, but never as bad as this. All i wanted was an inch and a half off all over - literally the simplest haircut one could want. First and foremost, i would like to underscore that she was extremely rude and unprofessional. Even before she picked up the clippers, she stated bluntly, in the most entitled tone, that if I decided an inch and a half wasnt short enough, i would have to pay extra. Never have I heard that policy uttered by a barber. I should have booked it out of there right then because what followed was a haircut from hell. She began cutting like she actually wanted to get fired. My sides were uneven, hair wasn't thinned out properly, all this with clippers over a brush in the most inexact method possible. When I tried to object to my sides looking funny, she completely overruled my objections and belittled me as if i was the stupidest person that had ever walked into her salon because i didn't know the correct hair terminology. Halfway through I resolved to write this review and get another haircut as soon as i left that place since I knew there was no reasoning with people like this. When I went to pay (and I really should not have paid, really regret paying) she CHARGED ME $4 EXTRA because my hair barely reached my collars. Really? I had gotten dozens of haircuts from Dino's with even longer hair and have never had to pay extra. Immediately afterwards, the very moment I stepped out, I went to the barber's across the street (Soussan's) who fixed the damage at no charge and turned the worst haircut i had ever had to something i wouldn't be embarrassed to have in a photo. Needless to say, Dino's just lost a regular and Soussan's gained one. I have no doubt some barbers at Dino's are more than qualified - I kept going for my four years in Kingston; it was never anything special but it was a good neighbourhood barber's for an average cut. But this lady was so highly unprofessional it calls into question the integrity of both the owners and the employees that stood by and watched this travesty happen, and the quality of the business as a whole. I will never be returning to this business. This lady needs to get fired and lose her license. I believe in second chances, but this lady is past incorrigible; she needs to learn that her behaviour is unacceptable and that when you get paid to do a job, you do it right.

I was first told about Barbara about 20 years ago. After much frustration trying to find a good barber, she cut my hair exactly how I wanted it, the first time. I’ve been getting my hair cut by her ever since. The odd time I’ve had to stop elsewhere for one reason or another, and I’m never as quite as satisfied. She understands what your hair will and won’t do. Very pleasant, excellent work, and you can’t beat the price!

Stopped in to Dino's today for the last time. Two of the barbers (all 4 are female) Pat and Nichole bickered about the radio and someone taking thier Tim Hortons free coffees that were on the back table(from roll up to win) all while Dino just sits there and says nothing. What a horrible experience. Then Nichole cut my hair. Not even sure she had any formal education on hair cutting as she complained about her siccors being dull while cutting my hair. (incredible) when she was done I paid for the haircut and tipped her hoping she would put that toward some schooling so she knows what she is doing, or at least purchase new siccors. BRUTAL!! I rate this 1 star because I can't rate it -3 stars.

Went here for the first time around 1 on a Friday and there were a couple people ahead of me but 4 hairdressers so I was up in 5 minutes. I was with Nicole and she barely said a word. I just told her what I wanted and she started at it. I think this was the quickest cut I have ever received. I was sitting in the chair for less than 10 minutes and Nicole just flew through my hair like she was just trying to get it done as quick as possible. I don't know how she could possibly see what she was doing because she barely stopped to inspect but I'm satisfied with the results. My only complaint about the cut itself was that she trimmed my sideburns without asking and didn't actually cut them right down so they were a bit darker below which I fixed myself at home. After tip I payed $15 which is a fair price for the result. I was uneasy with the speed though and she wasn't that friendly so that bumps my review down. Price: 5 stars (cheap) Result: 3 stars (average) Service: 3 stars (could be better)

The hairdresser does not listen to you and cuts your hair the way she wants. I have never looked so terrible after a fresh cut. Not impressed one bit with this place and I will not give it a second chance. You might as well cut if yourself or ask your dog to cut your hair for you. 1 star is too much to give this place.

Went there a few times and my haircut was fine for a very good price. I went there today and got Dino. I though that it would be fine since he owns the place. Boy was i wrong. He was careless, distracted, took a few chunks out of my beard and didn't acknowledge it (wasn't even trimming my beard). he used his comb in my hair to comb his own hair then put it back it mine, unbelievably unprofessional. also i shave the sides and leave it long on top. He took the shave way too far up and it looks like i have one of those weird hats on the side of my head. I look like im making a statement about my gender... don't go to Dinos!

I went in there for a basic shaved head and trimmed beard. I am beyond word in describing the butcher job Dino did to my beard. Uneven sideburn tapers, lopsided cut under the chin, and blatant chunks clipped off the side and under the bottom lip. Wow. Straight blade neck shave was great. I won't be going there again.
