Highly recommend this place. I met one of the owners the day I went and they are super nice. I HIGHLY recommend this place for all you haircutting needs

The Gents Place in Deer Park, IL is the greatest place on earth to go get your haircut and beard trimmed and face refreshed. I am a member here and I come in every 2 weeks to get my haircut and beard trimmed and face refreshed with Katrina. Katrina is literally the BEST and always does a phenomenal job. I highly recommend seeing her, but if she’s not available… ALL the ladies here do a great job and will be able to take care of all your needs. Did I mention that they serve alcohol here? Just one of the many awesome perks they have here. This place is literally like a gentleman’s club. Also the front concierge Felice is awesome. She works hard making sure everyone is doing great before and after your haircut services, plus she has amazing rapport with everyone and you’re guaranteed to have good quality conversations with her. Kelly the owner is also truly AWESOME and a true sweetheart. I cannot say enough good things about this place and everyone that works here. This place is literally heaven and I look forward to coming here every time. ????

I called same day and got an appointment for the afternoon. Pleasant receptionist (she asked what location, so I assume someone does scheduling remotely). I was greeted by my first name as soon as I walked through the door & offered something to drink. Fairly wide drink selection (beer, liquor, non-alcoholic, etc) for a hair salon. There are 3, 5, & 7 course hair services at $45, $55, and $75 respectively. I got the 5 course. It’s expensive but you pay for the quality and whole experience. Nina was my hair stylist and she did a fantastic job. Definitely on par for top haircuts I’ve received. I’ve been to multiple other men’s salons with similar services (drinks, massage, neck shave, etc) and The Gents Place comes in #1. It’s 30 minutes from where I live but I will definitely be coming back and would recommend this place to friends and family.

I don't know of a place that will give you a wonderful haircut, shampoo, and style while you sip on your favorite whisky or an Irish coffee. The staff is wonderful and helpful. Everyone made me feel so welcome and happy to be in such a relaxing environment. I hope they open more stores further north so I don't have to drive as far.

When I first entered, I was greeted kindly and given a tour. I was very impressed with the salon environment. very nice and updated to be modern. I never expected to be given the "WOW" treatment, but I was sure given the Wow treatment at every section I went. From the haircut chair, to the washing section in the relaxation room. I love the options of a top shelf drink with your cut, shoe shine or just to relax was really nice and different. .

This experience was a gift from my wife. This was a nirvana of men's self-care. I dropped off shoes which were expertly shined while I enjoyed a premium cocktail, relaxed in a posh lounge, and then received a cut and color treatment. This included a hot-towel neck-shave and the best part was that my wife thought I looked younger and stylish. Solid 5-star experience.

This place has been an experience for me. Right from entering into the shop every moment was completely worth it. Me and my friend got a member day pass. We were given a tour of the services they provide like massage, shampoo , meni pedi etc. They have got really nice packages and I must admit nice space too. Our haircut was upto the mark, top notch. Stylist knew what they are doing. So you can sip scotch while you get your haircut done. Very luxury place. Well good things come with a price so i wouldnt say expensive. Ample amount of parking available.

If you are looking for a sharp haircut, please, whatever you do don't spend your money here for a $50 SCISSOR TRIM. It was my first time there too and they didn't even advertise the first time discount that I wasn't even aware about. Look for something much more affordable and better cuts. Seriously, it grew out terrible. This place tries to entice you with their unique treatments that I didn't even received. Still charged full price "$50". Save yourself money and look for other places.

I’ve been coming here for over a year and I’ll never go anywhere else. Gent’s Place is always clean and has a nice atmosphere. The ladies that work here are absolutely phenomenal and do an amazing job with haircuts. Every appointment comes with two complimentary drinks. I usually get a whiskey or a bourbon, but there is also beer, wine, soda, coffee or water. I highly recommend checking this place out at least once. I promise you’ll be impressed.

Their Country Sourdough is Fab. We get one after we finish the loaf we bought & enjoyed, repeat, repeat. And Dang if the Cream of Chicky, Wild rice is too yum. Gonna make toast w/the CSD right now as a matter of fact. Would give 4 stars but the prices have gone up exponentially since they came into Northern IL in the late 90s.

I was referred to The Gents Place. The stylist who cut my hair and trimmed my beard was awful. I later found out that she wasn’t very experienced. Her name was Dia and honestly she should get more experience before letting her cut hair. I was there for over an hour as she struggled to get it right. The manager came over I believe her name was Jamie. She was not only rude but her attire was sloppy and her attitude was arrogant. I’m sure there are stylists there who know what they are doing, but Dia was awful and the management was way below par. Not only do they need more experience but the way the staff was dressed and the manager like she just rolled out of bed was not a pleasant site.

Very nice inside. Friendly staff. I came for a beard trim and a haircut. I did not get the haircut I asked for, and am very unhappy with it. I let them know the haircut was for a job interview, when I left I was not happy and it affected my confidence during the interview. I was supposed to get a beard trim from their beard person and a haircut from the hair person, I ended up getting both from the hair person. I'm also not happy with my beard, it was uneven on the bottom by a lot and I had to trim it myself. My mustache was trimmed down to a buzz cut, and no longer was defined. There are a bunch of spots that are different lengths on my face some I am comfortable trimming, in the meantime I feel like someone took a weed wacker to my face and my head. And I will be going somewhere else to correct these mistakes.

I heard about The Gents Place on Facebook with a grand opening promotion. I needed a haircut at that point and typically spend about 50% less but free was great (except tip)! My stylist was phenomenal, the place and staff are all welcoming, and they offer great mens services. I have a second appointment booked, but thanks to a great deal I opted to become a member. When you buy an annual membership, you (roughly) get two months free. You also get a great gift box! First time customer and will be last. I called to book appt for my son with a specific stylist and when he arrived he was moved to with someone else without notice. He received a terrible cut. Explanation was he was a new customer and the “central answering center” didn’t mark the certain stylist as a request so they just put him with whoever. Won’t refund only offer to send him back to correct his cut.
