I waited there for 30 minutes for nothing. At first, two stylists were available and just chatting. Then a third became available, then a fourth. No other customers were there, and no one ever called me up. So I walked out and will never go back. Apparently gossiping at work is more important than actually working. Don't waste your time.

I have had my hair cut at 3 other places before coming to The Barbers on South Hill. I am a recently separated veteran and have had my hair buzzed for over a decade, but decided to grow it out. With each visit, I have been greeted by the awesome staff who are really friendly and gave excellent advice based on the way I have been attempting to style my hair. Every time I leave here, I look great! My wife thinks I look younger and happier, and I feel confident that I can walk around in public without a hat. You ladies rock!

The gals working there get 5⭐ but when I walked in it was so moist in there and found out that the A/C hasn't been working. The gals were troopers still cutting hair but you could tell that they were miserable and having to deal with not only the moist conditions but with boob sweat as well. Hopefully the A/C can get fixed ASAP so they can continue to give great service to the South Hill! Once the A/C is fixed I will rewrite this review and go back to a 5 ???? rewiew. ????

One lady did a great job on my son's hair, but another butchered mine unfortunately. I'm not one to gripe while I'm in the shop, or write a bad review, but after a couple days of staring at my hair, I just get more and more irritated. I can't even style it and I'm beyond frustrated. Time to look for a new barber. They're very nice and the service is good, and that's worth something, but I didn't go in there just for a warm personality, I went in there to get my hair cut, and now I have to pay to get it fixed.....joy.

This is the barber experience that I remember as a kid. Dad would take me and tell the barber "he needs a cut." The barber did his/her work with perfection, skill & artistry. My haircut with Kory was no different than years past, besides the fact I am much older. My favorite thing to bring to a new barbershop (new to me) is a blank canvas. Beard gone wild and hair without style. Kory asked me what I was wanting to be done in which I replied do you whatever you think looks best. He is professional, experienced and accommodating. I will be back in 6 weeks without a doubt.

Sadly, I now have to change my rating, since customer service at this place has really, REALLY taken it on the chin. Partially because the staff is inconsistent about answering the phone. Partially because of the owners inarticulate messaging on several social messaging platforms. Their webpage literally says NOT ACCEPTING APPOINTMENTS.... and APPOINTMENTS REQUIRED. Suppose it really doesn't matter since staff often wont pick up the phone so making an appointment is hard. You can always try what I did, just walk in and wait, and wait, and wait some more, before you finally give up and go to the barber shop down the street. I went to the Chop Shop on Lincoln and 14th and got an amazing haircut, with no waiting. And for less money.

We come here to get my hubby's hair whacked off! Its amazing how fast it grows! The staff is always amazing! We always get the works with a beard trim. They even try his eyebrows for me! He always looks great when they're done and he is always happy! We've been coming here so long that we know a bit about each of the regulars that do his cuts and are always happy to chat when we get to see them. We've never needed to make an appointment or call ahead but they do take both! They're great with adults and kids! Oh and free popcorn! How can you go wrong!

Wanted a local barber shop and I found my new home. The service is fantastic. They were very patient with my son as it was his first trip to a barber shop. They were wonderful with him. Lana is amazing! And she had never cut my hair before, but I was super STOKED when she called my name to do my hair! I knew she was going to KILL IT just by watching her! You can see when she’s doing her thing, that she takes pride and puts passion in her work! After she got going (and as picky as I am about my hair) I told her to just ROLL WITH IT! I had total confidence in her ability to send me out of there looking FRESHHHH! And she didn’t let me down! I’ve never had so many compliments on a haircut! I would recommend her to anyone!

Got there 3 minutes after they opened (10:03) put my name on the list to get cut by one of the two credible barbers at this location. Waited, waited, waited. Finally at 10:40 the barber called someone up from the list that had signed in at 10:35. Which sucks because it takes time and effort to find a barber that actually knows what they’re doing. Will definitely be taking my business elsewhere.

As a visitor to Spokane, I had no idea where to get a haircut in this COVID environment. I was lucky to find The Barbers on Grand who are still open and taking same-day appointments (no walk-ins), so be sure to call in advance. The interior is clean and tidy, and the customer service is 5-star all the way. Customers are expected to wait outside until their stylist is ready to reduce the number of people in the shop at any one time.

They do great haircuts. The staff is extremely friendly and they know what they're doing. I will say the turnover seems to be rather high as I almost never see the same people working over the years. Its a great place to go. Handled covid regulations seriously but weren't so crazy that you needed to be afraid of being scrutinized.

Are the haircuts here now timed like great clips and those types of places. The last two cuts I got here have been brutal. The first of the two was so bad I ended up wearing a hat for a month. She did not even use her clippers on the top and gave me a bull cut that looked like something a kid gets when there four. I got so much s**t about that haircut. I know you can’t pick the Barber at your shop, but I would never let her touch my hair again. The most recent one I got was a little better, but not what I asked for. She didn’t offer me a neck shave, something I ALWAYS. The cut couldn’t of taken her even 10 minutes before she pulled the apron off and walked up to the till. Didn’t even put product in my hair, and forgot the hard part I always get. Also, on a week day when it’s not busy, is there anyway you can pick your barber. There is a blonde girl with some tattoos that has always done an awesome job, and was the reason I made the switch to you, after going to the Master Barber at Weldon for five plus years.

Hit up Meghan. Great conversation (not a weirdo). Great cut! If you get "the works" comes with a shoulder massage. Dont take appointments BUT you can call 30mins ahead and get on the list which is great for people like me that dont plan anything more than a half hour in advance. FREE popcorn, water, or soda while you wait (drink fast cause it wont be long if you followed ^ advice)
