The father and son that run this place are amazing and great guys. I personally enjoyed the conversation and the experience. you will not find any other Barber shop like this anywhere in the world especially in the city. And my haircut turned out amazing. Thank you guys again for the wonderful experience. One of the guys even played checkers with me.

I should have taken it as a warning when I noticed that absolutely no one was waiting for a haircut on a Saturday afternoon at the only barbershop within miles. The decor is pretty interesting as the barbershop sits in an old train caboose. But that's the only cool thing about the shop. I had to pay for the haircut BEFORE sitting in the chair, which struck me as odd. But then, I was subject to a haircut that was mediocre at best, and had to later fix chunks of uneven strands and missed patches. Worse, was the onslaught of racially motivated commentary that was the entire conversation initiated by the barber. He was quick to tell me how he was run out of Indianapolis by the BLACKS, and recently, a woman stopped by his shop to see if he wished to rent out one of his open barber chairs. Of course, she was BLACK, so he didn't like her attitude from the moment she walked in the door. I am a white male, and his racial prejudice offended even me. This is not the kind of conversation a customer wants to be forced into, especially while getting a poor haircut.

I remember this place. I would come here regularly to get a haircut with my Dad and Brother. That was like 2009 - 2012 that I went there. I wonder if the Barber still remembers me. I once remember my brother wanting a mohawk. Gary did just that. My dad and Gary were close, but I was too young at the time to remember what they talked about. Last words I heard from Gary were something along the lines of a stolen golden dresser handle or something. Any way, serious talk. Gary was always quite nice to me and my brother, and cut exactly the hairstyle we desired. Including that mohawk. ;) Overall, a very nice place.

The only thing your good at is messing up my hair not only did I tell you to not take any off of the top you did and then trued to thin it out and cut more off and it’s uneven you are the worst barber I’ve ever been too it’s gonna take me months to fix my hair I have to grow it out agin cut it down an inch for 1spot that you messed up and then wait a couple more months just to be back we’re I started and I’m trying to grow my hair out I told you that u genuinely need to stop cutting hair

Very unique. Waiting room is like a railroad depot. Nice toy trains and sculptures. “All aboard” means next in line enters the caboose. Good haircut at fair price. Everyone should see this place!

This place is just super cool! Getting your haircut is now an adventure in this barbershop in a caboose! So much you look at while you're there. The owner is exceptional and really funny. Cheap prices for an expensive looking cut! Right now, you'll have to make an appointment, but it's seamless. Race over there, you won't be disappointed!

Here's the thing - I'm glad we went. The place is old and dusty and a little just thrown together, but it's got that kitschy historic feel you sometimes just crave. It definitely needs some maintenance and cleaning. No doubt about it. But we had fun. Gary, the barber of many MANY years, is a great guy. He was great with the kids, and you could feel his excitement when he talked to them and showed them the different toys in the caboose. My husband and 4-year-old got simple haircuts that they were pleased with, and we got to see something different and experience someone's passionate excitement. I only took pictures of the front half so as to leave the rest a mystery for visitors to experience only. That's the excitement, isn't it?

Took my 7 year old who is not a fan of getting his hair cut at all. Guy had a short temper with him. The haircut is nothing like what we wanted. We wont be going back. Thats for sure.

First & Last, Hair cut was O.K. ,price was fair, more concerned with getting you out as quick as possible, after haircut not a place to take a minute just to talk, slang shoot the bull. Was told not time for that. Ended up us both tempers started to escalate. Was asked to leave ,said o.k.trust me very rude,and I definitely will not go back. Find another barber shop that I will do. Son just as bad as dad,attitude unreal. RUDE-RUDE-RUDE.DONE.

He always enjoys the cut and visit the first or last of every month!! It's accessible too which is important since Dad is on a rollating walker.

Wiley is a fine cut young man that the two barbers that are his father and grandfather that run the barbershop should be so proud of...
