What a cool place! I received a great haircut and service from Sharolyn. This place is worth the extra money to get a quality haircut. The online appointment booking is great and efficient. The only small complaint I have is as a first-timer there was no explanation of what was happening next (shampoo, neck shave, etc...) so maybe a overview of the services for first-timers would be good. But now that I know its a great experience, I would recommend Hudson Hawk to anyone!

The experience here was great! The hairstylist was friendly and we had a great chat, I asked for advice on my hair(I have 3 crowns on my head,it's horrible) and he came up with a plan for how to shape it and cut it. The service you get for the price was worth it. I'll be continuing to go there for haircuts.

I have gone to Sharolyn for awhile now. She cuts very consistent and does an amazing job. Schedule an appointment! I'm not sure what some of the people (the ones saying they liked their hair cut but still gave them a bad review) were looking for out of a barber shop but the banter is part of it! If that bothers you go to a salon!

Well, I used to like this place. It is in a good location, the prices are reasonable and I got a good haircut....at first. Everything seems to have gone wrong since. Every time I am here there is some problem. Either the barber won't shut up about the band he used to be in, or I have to continually explain what I am looking for in my hair cut, or (and this was the one that made me edit my review) YOU MISSED ONE OF MY SIDE BURNS.....I didn't even notice until I was half way back to work. I have wasted enough time and money on this place. Seems like you guys need to get some retraining done with your staff.

This place was pristine during Covid sanitizing everything, wearing masks, and checking temperature at the door! Chris gave me one of the best haircuts I’ve ever had. Extreme attention to details on both the cut and the beard trim. Worth every penny! Great convo and atmosphere put this place over the top.

Terrible experience. Although the haircut in the end wasn't bad for what it was, it wasn't at all what I asked for. The young hipster who cut my hair clearly did not hear what I wanted and cut my hair way too short. He did it without me facing the mirror so I couldn't see. I tried to intervene during the process but he quipped back "oh ya' man I got ya'" but he clearly was not listening. In fact, the stylists all talk really loudly to each other but don't say a word to their customers. When I finally saw the damage in the mirror and told him it was far too short and not what I wanted he just stood there, no apology, not a word. "So and so will check you out at the register." Like "Tough sh** see you later." Terrible customer service, wouldn't recommend it and never going back.

First things first:I am thrilled with the actual hair-cut I received here, I suspect I had the same barber as Daniel and thought he did a great job with my actual hair. That being said, the atmosphere here is exactly as he described, very loud, non-stop banter between the stylists for the entirety of the cut with very minimal interactions with the customer. I won't be returning due to the atmosphere, but if it floats your boat, the rest is great.

Great place for a haircut. After searching for over a year (moved into this area) I have found the place for me. Friendly and talented staff. All ages are welcome. There was a 2 year old in dad's arms getting a trim on my last visit. It's easy to make an apointment online with the barber of your choice. I have strongly recommended this location to friends. The staff are the nicest individuals I've met in the area. It took 3 tries (I enjoy longer hair), but they strive to deliver what you want and have done so with me. I'm extremely happy with the services received. You will be as well.

We've been using Chance for a couple of months and he is super fantastic. He takes the time with my boys and is patient and super friendly to them. Most places are short, annoyed that little kids won't sit still and do a terrible job. I've been super happy with the cuts the boys have received and we will be loyal clients of Chances for the foreseeable future. He clearly has the magic touch- so much so my little one decided to take a little snooze!

I've always loved going to Hudson Hawk since I first tried them in Springfield, but my most recent experience was by far the best overall experience and haircut I've ever had. I arrived 20 minutes late for my appointment and they were very accommidating, I waited for Matt to finish up with another client and he seated me immediately after. He did an excellent job and was very sociable. By far the best haircut I've ever had. Hudson Hawk and Matt in particular will have my business as long as they're open in prairie village.

Back in late 2018 I decided to stop having my mom cut my hair (she was developing a mild form of arthritis and it hurt for her to hold clippers) and booked an appointment with Chance. Chance the barber is what I will start calling this guy, I mean come on! He cuts hair super well! I came in not expecting too much and he amazed me, not only with his skills with the clippers, but his small talk! Highly recommend this guy to cut anyone's hair!

I love the vibe and honestly the people are fantastic. I just didn’t quite get what I asked for. The system seemed rigid on like what they would do. But above all that i just didn’t get what I asked for. the barber had thinned out my hair so much it looked awful when it wasn’t styled I had said I wanted to keep it thick on top and it just didn’t happen. My hair is still damaged from it and it just won’t grow back to its original shape I fear I’m going to have to re grow it completely. I have ethnic hair so maybe that could be it. Or just miscommunication on my part either way it just wasn’t up to par for the price. I didn’t feel like the listened to me. And they kinda ruined my hair.... give the place a chance before you count them out but I just feel cheated.

The barbers are great (well mine recently left), but be aware of the products. They will upsell you some of the most expensive products, and if it’s not good (in my case Cardinal Brand, leaves your hair so hard and crispy) there are NO returns. Try Amazon if you want to test hair products, they have the same brands AND take returns.
