Typically I go to the Johnstown location because it’s closest to where I live. On the given day that I came into this location I called in prior to make an appointment, for 3 PM. I ran six minutes late, (3:06pm) and the receptionist Emma told me that my hairdresser had already taken someone back and that the soonest she could get me in was 3:30pm. I know that I was wrong for being six minutes late for my appointment, but for calling ahead and also driving out of the way to come to this location from Loveland, I was treated horribly by her. She told me that there was a five minute late policy otherwise I would have to reschedule, which I know it’s not policy because I’ve gone to several different Floyd’s locations and it’s usually a 15 minute late policy. I didn’t mean to be late, and I know that I was in the wrong for being late… However that’s not what I expect from someone who is supposed to be a professional when I walk into Floyd’s willing to pay $30 for a haircut. Furthermore, Emma had the audacity to come up to my hairdresser during my haircut and let her know that her next appointment was running 15 minutes late so she could take her time on my haircut?!? If it weren’t for Taylor, Who was very kind to me and did a wonderful job fading my hair (under considerable stress because she saw that I was visibly bothered) she also comped my haircut, and said that she hopes that I do return. If it weren’t for her, I would’ve gotten up and walked out of there. Upon leaving Floyd’s, Emma was slouched over on the front desk, making it clear to everybody in the barbershop that she did not want to be there. If I ever go back to this location, I hope that she is not working there.

I actually started coming to this location because she transferred from the other shop in fort collins. I have been seen by others though and I don't think you can go wrong with anyone.

Where do I start?! Not only is this place the cleanest I’ve ever been to, but the people there are even more amazing! To be specific, Miss keiten is amazing! She takes care of me and always does the best job imaginable for my hair! Shes knowledgeable, patient, kind, and beyond talented! I personally like to think of her as the Bob Ross of hair ;) The entire staff at Floyd’s is honestly the best, and no matter who does your hair, you can count on it being incredible! I typically go to a different location but the wait was 1 hour+ so I called this location and they said no wait. Through it might be because college campus is on break. Right when I walked in my warning flags were waving. But, I sat down and explained the cut I wanted. The stylist I had must have been fairly new, but not sure. She had a very different way of cutting my hair - More with clippers when I am accustomed to scissors. I told her to thin out the sides but she thinned out all the hair on my head. I don't have a ton to work with in the first place. Everything about my visit was not enjoyable. Well, at least my hair will grow back and I will go to the other location.

I have a problem with Barbers being sloppy and cutting the long hair on the top of my head when they're supposed to be just shaving the sides. she has a similar haircut so she really knew what I was talking about and was extra extra careful.

So, I came back today (April 6th) and let me tell you: Lacy is a miracle worker. I went back in very nervous but she eased all my insecurities pretty much immediately. She gave me what I wanted (a color melt was suggested rather than a shadow root and low lights) and I've never felt more in love with my hair. She deep conditioned it too since it was feeling very depraved of moisture. She made a bad experience into something I didn't even think of. I still have lighter hair but it looks far more natural and even; her attention to detail and correcting an error in my hair is so so so appreciated. She even explained why a color melt would be better regarding how I want to style my hair for my wedding. Just, shes amazing. I'll definitely be going back to the lovely and talented Lacy. Also thank you to Brandy(sp?) for reaching out and offering these services to make me one happy lady. (Original post from April 1st: Hi, so to start I hate that I have to do this. I was here today to get some color correction and baby lights as was discussed at my consultation last week. The stylist, Tina, was very nice and determined to get the brassy/orange tones out of my hair (the main reason I was there). After the round of highlighting and one of toning, I had very uneven coloring. I was asked if I wanted to do another round of toner as it was up to me. My hair was three colors. 3. Frosted roots because they processed so fast, a thick orange/copper band, and my lightened ends that I came in with. It took going outside in the natural light for her to say that we'd do another round of toner. I'm a fairly trusting person so I wasn't entirely skeptical about this experience yet. It was the fact that 2 other stylists had to give advice and tips on what to do. I was told she'd been coloring for 17 years. I've been doing my own coloring for about 5 years and granted, I ended up with copper tones after a round of bleaching at 20vol (I have a level 6-7 natural shade). This was supposed to be a relaxing day off for me where I enjoyed what so many other women do bi-annually and it was more stressful than I imagined. It came across that my stylist didn't know what to do with my hair (its curly and thick and it needed color correcting). I was asked if I wanted a trim for the dead ends and I said sure, I was there anyway. I estimate she cut off about 4 inches. My hair was in the middle of my back, now it is to my shoulders. I'm getting married in September; I wanted the long, feminine locks but I guess I'll make do. I knew my ends were fragile and dead, I just didn't think that much needed to come off overall. There are still frosted highlights only at my root and it took me going through once I got home to see them. My stylist was very sweet, very determined to get the orange out of my hair. It just wasn't as pleasant an experience as $175 should have gotten me. I was also under the impression that it was going to be styled for me but once I mentioned that I let my hair air dry normally, I was done. I don't know the one who helped us pick out another toner was, but she seemed far more competent at what to do to my hair than the stylist I was given.)

I am very particular about who cuts my hair but I decided to try out this Floyd's location. I believe her name was Lindsey or Lauren (I cant remember exactly)... she did an awesome job! I walked in and was greeted by multiple people! Everyone was friendly and nice! I felt comfortable, the esthetic was awesome and this location is near my work so a double bonus! I can only say good things about this place and their staff. I recommend seeing Kelly at the Elizabeth location, she's been giving me fresh cuts for over 5 years and she never disappoints! She seemed to be rushed or almost careless to the point that my side-part is now on the top of my head and my hair is much shorter than I wanted after how uneven it was on her first pass.

I loved going but i don’t think ill ever go back after this experience. The stylist didn’t like me very much so it was a bunch of abrupt 2 sentence conversations. I should have listened to my gut and not gotten a hair cut after my color. By the end of it i just wanted to cry so i just said it was fine and tried to get out quickly. $126 to wear a hat till it goes out. Im so upset that everyone was lying about it looking good too. I look like the photo i showed and told her explicitly i did NOT want to look like less than the photo i did want to look like. Im so upset.

I have gotten hair cut at all three Floyd's locations looking for a stylist that would make the difference for me. I got my cut from Tina at Elizabeth location and that was the difference!! She is awesome!! Took time to listen to my what I wanted, then made great suggestions. She took layers off slow so I could see what it would look like as we went. Never seemed like she was put out. As she cut my hair she kept me entertained and then did great job of showing different examples to style in different situations. I had a whole new me when I left. On a scale one to five she deserves a 10 Thanks Tina ????
