The best barbers in Fort McMurray by far. I have been going to this shop for more than two years and will never go to another barber in Fort McMurray. These guys will cut exactly the way you like it and pay very close attention to detail. Ali's enthusiasm is refreshing and he posses a skill set that is not matched in the barber field by any other competitors. the best combination of speed, quality/perfection and great conversations. worth every penny.

I don’t live in Fort McMurray - I am part of the transient population that works in the camps - and every chance I get, for the last 5 years, I go see the boys at Thickwood Barber Shop. It doesn’t even matter who cuts my hair because only the best work here! My last visit was April 6, 2018 and Mark did my hair. Amazing job! Price is unbeatable these days especially for the quality of the work. Visit these guys - you’ll love them!

I waited to have a couple of experiences before reviewing them, They have unbeatable prices for the quality of the work they provide. By far the best barbershop in town. I had one guy cut my hair for close to 20 years. He left town, I tried every salon, tommy guns and they were all mediocre at best. Once I went to see Ali, I knew it was the spot. When you choose a barber you don’t just choose someone to cut your hair, you choose a friend, an atmosphere that you love being in. Thickwood barbershop is not just a place to get your hair cut. This is the place to go in Fort Mac for a proper cut!! It's easy to get a bad hair cut but it's hard to get a good one!! I got a proper "high and tight" military shave/cut, anytime your barber uses the straight blade to touch you up your in good hands!! $26 for a cut which is fair for the quality these guys produce and for Fort Mac, I'm going back every time I need cleaned up while in Fort Mac. I was able to park my tractor trailer across the street, might not always be that lucky but worth driving by to see if you can park your truck and get a cut.
