This place is special. Great group of talented guys who take barbering to another level. Booking on-line is easy. You know what you will get every time. I take my son there for a sweet fade and my bread for a nice clean up, lined up trim. The hot towel service is something special. To give you context, I drive from Mississauga to get my sons haircut. He’s 13 and doesn’t want to go anywhere else.

Best Cut & Shave from Top Shelf Guys. Always good for a joke or story. Classy guys. Good tunes and laughs. Never had a bad time here. Always booked online for appts and Ive never been late or had to wait for a cut/beard trim. Classically trained barbers who know their craft. Dave, Jara and Vince are awesome. Been going here since they opened and dont plan on that changing anytime soon. Covid is taken seriously here and Ive felt safe during my few cuts since reopening.

The haircut itself was top notch as well. I particularly noticed his attention to detail. If you’re in New Toronto and looking for a good haircut, I highly recommend Black Collar Barber Shop.

I never do these but felt like these guys have earned it! If you’re looking for a barber this place is THE place in Toronto you should check out! Dave has done a killer job at getting his place set up right...from the barbers to the decor it’s like your walking into a gentleman’s club! They make getting your haircut an experience and it makes you want to come back quicker than when you actually need it! Mike is my barber...top class...but Dave and Jara are just the same! No one else i would trust with my hair, my beard and my time.

Never open during the week even though they are advertised as being open 11-7. I always see people inside but they have a gate locked up. If you can actually walk in the front door you find out you need a appointment to even get service. Also looks like they employ underaged kids.

More then just a neighbourhood shop, they are a hub of great times and great memories. I will only ever get my hair and beard trimmed by these gentleman. Really knowledgeable!! Show up on time for my appointment. They are on lunch. Doors locked, and they say to wait outside for 10 minutes. Not to my face, but back turned lounging around speaking to me through the window with a dismissive attitude. I'm not waiting outside in the cold for 10 minutes to get a haircut from someone so disrespectful, what a joke of customer service.

Instagram page was cool so thought I’ll check them out. Got my cut from Jara. Nice gentleman but the entire time he had me facing away from the mirror. I had no idea how short he was going. At that point instead of asking I just trusted him. That was a huge mistake, I shouldn’t have. I asked for bed head length at the top which I could use product on and play with for a messy look, instead he cut it so short, I can’t even hold my hair with my fingers. I originally had asked to leave the sides and the back as is to go with the longer length on the top. He left the sides and the back as I asked him to. But since the top is now overly short, I look like a freaking watermelon. He realized he has gone way too short on the top, so he should have fixed the sides and the back accordingly. Rather he put gel on my head and styled it and 30 mins later turned me around to face the mirror. At that point I didn’t know if I should cry or laugh. Lol Any normal person with or without a sense of style can tell that my hair looks horrible right now. I appreciate a barber who gives suggestions in the favour of the client looking good, almost like a consultant. Like bro, make me look good and tell me what looks good on me. Suggest things, that’s literally your only job. I look horrible with this cut and I did not get any suggestions to fix the screw up. Honestly, a Bad experience. I’m going to have to go to my original barber to get this fixed and pay an additional 40. The price I have to pay for being lured into a freaking Instagram show. No hard feelings to the establishment. Y’all probably know what y’all are doing. Maybe I just had a bad day at the barbershop. Goodluck!
