Took my 2 boys here and i must say they are amazing barbers who love what they do ( and it shows in their work and attitude). From when i spoke to George on the phone to the minute we left they were always so Warm and friendly. The boys loved their new hair-dos and my oldest refused put on his hat so he wouldn't ruin his C.Ronaldo hairstyle. Great quality cuts, great price with great customer service! By far the best hair cut I have ever had! George is a very social, polite barber who is also a true artist when it comes to the perfect cut. I have driven several times from Niagara Falls, ON just to have George cut my hair. I will recommend this place over any barber in Toronto or the GTA. My brother now drives from Barrie to get his beard trimmed and hair cut at this location. A stylish hair cut, with a straight razor shave around the hairline is the cherry on top! Hair care products are available at the store, as well as an awesome atmosphere.

I used to be big fan. I had 2 excellent hair cuts, very consistent. I went in for the 3rd time and the hair cut wasn't the greatest, I thought he just had an off day. I went in for the 4th time and it was the last. He had conversations going with 3 different people at the same time while he was cutting my hair. The problem is he seems unable to cut hair and talk at the same time, he was constantly stopping, my straight forward 15 minute hair cut took over 30 minutes and it wasn't the greatest hair cut either.

George is the most friendly barber I have ever met. He always gives you a warm welcome when you enter his shop. He takes great care of his customers and gives really great quality haircuts. He also works fast without sacrificing any attention to detail. Make sure you call in advance to book an appointment since he is always busy. He books appointments in 15 minute increments, and you should call at least 3-4 hours in advance. I would recommend booking your appointment the day before.

Went there today (28/06/2018) for a "low-maintenance haircut", and a "hot-towel shave", as I had failed to stand close enough to my razor for a few days, to get the full experience*. *(I was just too lazy to shave, really) That said, my wife, clearly the brains of our operation, did some research online_ of "Barber shops in The West End" A few places popped up....most notably a place called "Grease Monkey" another called "Night Owl" (which automatically went to the bottom of our list, as they didn't have a posted phone number) __and THIS PLACE..."George's Barber Shop"! Grease Monkey looks nice if you're into "salon-like", flashy and modern...(there is nothing wrong with it if you are), but with that "flashy-moderness" comes a substantial price difference (GM is considerably more expensive). We arrived to GEORGE'S Barber shop at 10 minutes to 2PM, having called ahead, George (who answered the phone) penned us onto his list (a dry erase board you write your own name on, when you come in)... We waited MAYBE 10 minutes and it was my turn. George was great to talk to, had the World Cup game on, and provided a fantastic, neat, and clean haircut...perhaps the best I've ever had. He then placed a steamed towel on my face and neck and lubricated my face with shave soap and went to work. I can't believe how masterfully he performed his craft. Not a drop of blood was shed, and I've been shaving my face for 25 years, seemingly cutting myself at least once or twice a year. When he was done, another warm towel, a cool splash of antiseptic, I presume, aftershave perhaps, and its out the door. My face was smoother than a baby's backside. I paid $34 for cut and shave, THEN leaving an $11.00 tip, for a measely $45.00, which is where some other places start for JUST a haircut. George's has earned a new customer out of me. Thanks for a great job! I very much recommend this place. Keep up the good work man!

I have lived a street away from George's for years but never had a chance to get my kids haircut from him becasue he's usually busy when we pass by. However today luck was in the air! I walked by with my 9 month old son and he had an opening. I just needed a bang trim. He was so friendly and even asked if the man who was up next would be ok if he clipped the baby bangs first. He was kind, gentle and sang to my son as he trimmed his bangs. This man and his shop are a staple to south etobicoke and I hope that everyone has a chance to have a cut with him or even just experience his upbeat and positive nature.
