specifically said I wanted nothing off the sides, the back of my hair was longer and all i wanted was for the back and sides to be even. the barber not only cut the back, but also took about half of my length off the sides, even when I stopped him to ask what he was doing as he was doing it because I had said I didn't want it. Literally showed him a picture of what I wanted too. Last time I went I had a middle part and the sides were so uneven I came back, and when I left it was still uneven. i am done coming here

Taylor & Colt has a chill barber shop vibe and super friendly staff. It's very cool to be remembered after only a couple cuts. I have been very satisfied with my haircuts. The hot towel treatment and straight blade finish is a great bonus!

Spent 1.5 hours here having what should have been a simple cut. But turned into the manager taking over, and Teaching the staff member a lesson. I felt like I kept saying I had to go, but it just kept getting longer and longer. Not at all what I was expecting. Not returning

Been here twice now and have made it a mandatory stop when I visit the island every 4 weeks. Love the barber shop feel and the staff are all super nice. Great haircuts both times, hot towels, and always nice to be remembered and welcomed. Good shop Milo see you soon!

They give you the same haircut you could get literally anywhere else and charge you twice as much. On top of that, the lady who cut my hair didn't listen to what I wanted and just assumed she knew what I was asking. I'll keep looking for a more reasonably priced barbershop.

I arrived for the first time attempting to get a haircut at 4:30 as was the earliest my schedule allows. I was told by the person sweeping up they were "fully booked and almost closed". There was one man getting his hair cut and noone in line or anywhere nearby. As I write this, he was finished and now both barbers are slowly fiddling around with no customers. Rather than accept a new client with a full half hour to spare before their closing time at 5pm, I was brushed off, like so much unwanted hair. I will be taking all my future business elsewhere.

I used to go here regularly for some months now, but this time the barber made a mistake and cut a small section on my left side which i only realised next day , when lot of people asked me about it , it stood out , i went next day but there was no way of fixing this since it was too short , when i asked for refund for bad service, i got a straight No and owner did not look apologetic as well, he offered me discount on next one but i have no inclination of going here again I understand mistakes happen but u need to be more sensitive towards ur customers specially regular ones Feel bad to lose this place

Got quite possibly the worst haircut of my life there earlier today. asked for a .5 fade and the barber not only gave me the wrong length, he also did the "lineup" extremely poorly. I had to go to another shop to fix the damage. Paying for that "haircut" was a complete joke. Just brutal.

Taylor and Colt was a nice place, until they actually cut my hair. The haircut was not what I had asked for at all. I had showed them a couple of pictures of the haircut that I had wanted, but they still could not cut it right. The hot towel was nice and refreshing but the haircut overall was ridiculous.

Today was my third trip to Taylor and colt in uptown Victoria. The time they took and questions they asked made for exactly what I was looking for in a hair cut. It was also my second Hot shave at Taylor and colt and still the only place that takes the time to do it right. Every other place I've had a hot shave I had left with irritation. Keep up the great work and I will be back next time

Great initial service, clean and tidy environment. Everyone was very professional and the gentleman who cut my hair was very focused and did a meticulous job focusing on details (I believe his name was Mo). I personally appreciate a barber who puts his effort into the cut instead of small talk. Would highly suggest.

Brought my 6 year old in for a cut. Just asked for a clean up of his current style (shorter sides, longer on top) he sat completely still. He basically got a one length cut all over. No definition from the top to the sides. Its honestly terrible. We won't be returning.

Stopped in with out an appointment on Thurs Aug 15th and was greeted immediately and told that I could be fit in. My daughter was offered and given a hot chocolate as I sat down with Shams I cannot express how nice this gentleman was and how he did exactly what I asked for even going above and beyond my expectations if I didn't live 2.5hrs away I'd be back without question. I would highly recommend Taylor and Colt and especially Shams thanks for the exceptional service.

This is what I got after requesting a fade, and sitting in that chair from 4:45 to 6:03, this is real. I can't believe I was charged 35$ for this. I am not one to write reviews but i felt morally obligated to caution all future customers. If you want to pay lots and and look like you get your haircuts from toddlers then this is the place for you! Please, for your own good, go elsewhere.

I went when they first opened. Was greeted promptly, and with a warm welcome. They took my jacket, and offered me a drink. That’s where the positives end. The kid that cut my hair seemed like he was no older than 19, asked me two questions, then proceeded to cut my hair in complete silence. Even after clarifying what he was doing, he still managed to cut it twice as short as I asked for. So awkward. After the destruction of my hair, I was so awkward and embarrassed. Went up to pay the same person who greeted me, who seemed to have a complete 180 in personality. The entire ending was awkward, and silent. I didn’t tip, because a tip is for service, or good service. Neither of those were a thing. Got a stone glare from the guy taking payments, “thanks”, and not even invited back. Grabbed my jacket and ran as fast as I could. 1.5/5 - at least they were good at the beginning...

Do yourself a favor and go see Gabe at Victory Barbers. ** I would like to add to my original review that I did receive a call from Cory - the manager at Taylor & Colt. He was away when I had my bad experience. I appreciated him reaching out and if I was to go back to Taylor & Colt I would look to deal with him.
