Had my first cut at Cliff's today. He did a fantastic job and I could tell he really knows what he's doing and cares about his work. Great to talk to, usually I find getting my hair cut really awkward but the conversation flowed very naturally and he was a pleasure to chat with. I will be back and I highly recommend coming here. Today was my first time there, this is also my first review. I called and asked if it was walk in, or by appointment and was told to just drop in. Went there on my lunch break and was happy that I did. I was greeted by both barbers who were busy cutting hair. The atmosphere was nice and friendly and little details in the shop were nice. I ended up sitting in the chair of the owner of the shop, I could tell right away that he was really into the finer details of cutting hair and that he cared about what he was doing. Thanks for the great haircut and shave, I will be back!

When I arrived at 4:30PM for a haircut the shop was closed. Not cool - unreliable business hours. Edit 1 - response to owner response: I called multiple times between 4:45 and 4:50 standing right outside your door; please recheck your "alarm settings" against you call log and security cameras.

I'd like to speak out in defence of Mitch, and offer a counterpoint to the other Michael's plaintive review. Mitch has been in the game a long time, and gives a tremendously good haircut and fantastic hot towel Shave. Now it's possible that the other reviewer's kids are perfect little angels, and Mitch was needlessly standoffish... But I can imagine an equally credible scenario in which unruly kids keep themselves amused in a rather boring (and, let's face it, not very kid-oriented) environment, at the cost of others' peace and quiet. As someone who goes to the barber for peace and quiet, I'm more sympathetic to the barber who has served me very well, at a fair price.

It's a nice small place that is open during COVID-19 so that's great as was unable to find something open close to my place. It was quick, efficient and fast with no lineup so that was amazing to see. It doesn't accept Credit card so have to pay either by cash or interac e transfer. It also doesn't have any hairstyle chart to choose from so you need to know the type of hairstyle you like otherwise would be bit difficult so that was a bummer. Overall it was a nice experience and would come back again. Received an amazing and quick haircut so was quite pleased with the service. Surely recommend other to try this place if you have never been here for a haircut.

went in to get a haircut the second day of reopening (COVID-19). The barber's were using the same ripped disposable nitrile gloves for every client without washing their hands in between. They did not santitize their hands while I watched. As a Healthcare worker in Long Term Care I would not recommend this place at this time due bad aseptic practices. They did however briefly spray the seats down. They need a better system in place, this is only the second phase. Other then that the barbers seemed very friendly and polite.

Honestly been going here for years, don't know why I still go. every time they manage to screw it up in a different way, thought it could have just been my poor instructions. This time however I showed a picture of what I wanted and they cut it wayyy to short. Don't recommend if want any other style than a come over.

Explicitly told the barber to keep the length of my beard long and just fix it up and taper it a little. Man took it down all the way to a 1.5 with the clippers. He also must've thought he was peeling a potato when the straight razor came out. My face and neck are still red 2 days later.

The quick and dirty haircut. While it was a well done cut, it wasn't quite what I was looking for... If you're interested in the cut they show on their web page (they're all pretty similar), you'll get that exact cut. Edit: It's a good value, they work efficiently, but they just didn't cut my hair as I was expecting (and you can't put hair back on). A bit insulting to see a response that says I rated the wrong place... I'll assume I was unlucky...

This is the place to go in Victoria for a professional men's haircut. Fast, high quality, and totally unpretentious, this is what Victory wishes it was. Keep in mind that this is a cash only establishment. $20 for a haircut, and don't come if you have a cold or the flu.

After having my hair butchered one too many times by one of the bigger discount salon chains, and balking at the almost $40 price tag of the haircut I got at a "boutique" barber shop downtown, I decided to give Cliff's a try. It was a great decision. An excellent haircut for a very reasonable price. Pretty good barber shop atmosphere too. It's cash only, so don't forget to hit an ATM on your way.

Been an extremely long time since I got a haircut I was comfortable with. The guys there are great and all seem to know what they're doing. The shop itself is small and personal feeling, with huge windows and enough chairs for an obviously busy place. In the winter months there's a gas fire place which not only heats the area but adds to the aesthetic!
