Finding a good barbershop had been a struggle. My relief at discovering this father son team was great. Then I moved from North Delta. Well worth the trip in from Mission though. I just let my hair grow out more than would like in the meantime. I bring my small son in and he gets taken care of also. Price is great, they do a fantastic job, the other customers waiting are always nice to talk to. Good luck to you both!

Anthony at Nordel Barber shop is a true gem of a human. I work with a local film company and he allowed us to use his shop to film a short film. He's the type of guy who is rare these days, one who is supportive of local arts scene and his community, kind, friendly and generous. It's clear why he's a trusted barber to so many. The shop itself is beautiful! It's classic style, with all the touches, like the moving swirling barber sign, a beautiful window with the shops name and red and white blinds. It's the kind of place you can feel at home in and hang out at. We chose it for our short film for all these reasons, we have a mafia story and what better place than "Carmines Barber shop". I hope many people can have the pleasure of sitting and chatting with Anthony, so swing by and check it out for a real honest family run business that delivers and gives back.

I started taking my son about 2 years ago and now he actually looks forward to getting a haircut. I noticed a negative review in regards to someone’s son and Anthony not wanting to use scissors. I would hope a barber would be looking out for the safety of a young child. If a razor was recommended I’m confident to say it was good advice.

If you don't know what your doing , don't be a barber . Maybe try cutting meat , because you butchered my beard . Not professional !

I first went to Nordel Barbershop 33 years ago 1987 when I moved out here from Vancouver. At that time and for years it was only Carmine by himself. After that haircut I have only gone there for my haircuts. Carmine did a great job and we always had good conversation. The Anthony his son joined him at the shop and it became an even better shop. Anthony connected with the younger and older customers with lot of conversations and jokes and laughing. My son has only ever got his haircut there. Anthony would tell my son if he was ever short of money or needed help in any way just come into the shop and he would help him. My son if he was hungry and had no money he would go to shop and Anthony would give him money for a pizza. Then when my son came home he would tell me that I owed Anthony $20.00. They are very community oriented and treat everyone like family. Carmine then became very sick and struggled for 2 and a half year before passing away this summer. In those years of pain Carmine was at the shop every day except when he was getting treatment. Anthony throughout this time was always there holding down the fort as Carmine was there but was doing less and less as his health was failing. Every Christmas Eve day they would host an open house. The barbershop would be full from 9-3 with a lot of the customers coming and going all day long enjoying all the food and treats that were supplied. So yes I do take offence when the cowardly two would leave the the shop and go home and write a bad review about a barbershop they know nothing about.

Went here for the first time today. Not sure what the guy that wrote about the "lazy barber" was talking about. This entrepreneur, Anthony, even offered to stay late and work after closing for us to make it in. He is kind, cares a great deal about his customers and...oh yeah....gives a great haircut all the while laughing and enjoying the time together. I would also recommend this to anyone who can't be around perfume or is cautious of chemicals and sprays, he seems to use nothing of the sort. Just saying...great place, great guy, great cuts. What's left to talk about???

Man as an italian my self I feel let down by the shotty quality. Asked for a quarter inch off the top the guy took two. The guy calls himself an Italian still can"t cut hair. I'm telling you you're taking a risk going here! As a gambler I'd say its too risky.

Anthony is absolutely the best! I knew what we were getting into when I posted in a Delta mom group looking for a barber for my toddlers first hair cut and 30 out of the 32 recommendations came back to him. His shop is conveniently located up the St on 112/84th. We are so grateful! He’s amazing with kids, patient and has a great sense of humour. I’m sure he saves lots of tears for babies first cut. He made it a relaxing environment by giving his phone to our 16mo with pepa pig playing, providing a lolli, making our baby boy laugh and letting him touch the clippers/ buzzer. We took a few breaks when our little got overwhelmed and there was never any pressure put on us or our LO to be in and out and cut through the times he got scared. Cannot recommend him enough. He let me keep the hair, produced a ‘ my first haircut ‘ certificate signed and dated for the baby book AND he refused to charge us. As in nothing, the hair cut was free. I’m still in awe/ beyond thankful! Will be coming to him for all Jaxons future hair cuts. My little baby turned into a styling toddler within a few mins. Cannot rave enough. I've been cutting the kids hair, successfully for his life but he's getting bigger and I wanted to give him the barber experience. Also, I effed it up last time. My friend - the barber - (heh, see what I did there friend?) - did an awesome job with my kiddo. Patient, cracked him up, and little dude looks fresh. Husband is also a die hard since we moved to the hood. Hasn't had a cut he hadn't liked (and he's picky).

My son has had his hair cut twice here now. Once at a year old and once at 16 months. I will never take him anywhere else again. I had taken him to a chain salon for his first haircut and it was a bad experience and a bad cut. Anthony is great with my little guy and his hair comes out looking fantastic every time.

Walked in with a 1-year beard and came out a new man! Oh, and the haircut was alright too. JK, Loved it all, would recommend 10/10 and will be back! Great atmosphere, as the other poster said the customers are all fun to talk to while you wait. And the price is what a standard barbershop price should be, but you honestly walk out feeling like you should have paid a bit more for the quality he gives here.

In response to a recent 1 star review and the extreme rarity of anything less than a 5, I hope people can see through the nonsense of these comments. I've been going to Carmine's Barber shop for over 20 years and there has been nothing but clean and professional service. It is also a social community hub. When my brother battled cancer years ago, Anthony and Carmine shaved everyone's heads free of charge. When I went back to post-secondary to make an improvement in family's life, they offered me free haircuts if I needed help while making this change. The annual Christmas open house is looked forward by all. This is all backed up though by excellent haircuts. Don't listen to the random naysayers!
