She's so good, I've even bright my 3 year old in, and convinced my husband to see her as well (he's hard to please, but even he was so happy when he left).

I recently had a horrible experience with a blonde balayage done at different salon. The other salon attempted to fix the mistake but just ended up with my hair looking awful and more damaged. As a last resort to fix the damage caused by the other stylists, I booked an appointment with Lay, who has worked on my hair before and I know would do a great job. And she exceeded my expectations! She was upfront with the pricing and did such an amazing job correcting the other stylists' mistakes. She made sure I was happy with the colour while doing her best to minimize further damage to my hair. Despite the salon being an hour away from my home, I will be going to her exclusively for my balayage from now on!

Went there for roots touch up so my black roots wouldn't clash with my blonde hair and ended up getting this (see pictures below) The treatment they recommended me was partial highlights (without telling me what that meant, I had to find out in the middle of the session that they were only doing the top half of my roots), and my roots ended up looking exactly the same, plus some black and yellow at the top. They also had to take out all the tinfoil in the middle of the session and redo my hair completely because they didn’t do it well enough the first time. A complete waste of time and money. They also refused to offer you water even if you've been sitting there for four hours without water

I went to Muse Hair Salon for a haircut and color correction from full purple to ombre purple. I have very thick asian hair, which is also frizzy and difficult to manage. My stylist, Sally, was able to soften the effect of the purple and give me a pretty haircut, exactly the one I asked her for without cutting too much hair. If you usually feel nervous about changing your hairstyle, I highly recommend her since she will exhaustively explain you every step of the process.

Ive been going here for cuts, balayage, colour, and Keratin treatment with Arisa. She is so good at what she does! She takes the time to look at pictures, tell you exactly what/how she will do the colour, and explain as you go along. The cuts are also fantastic - my hair is so healthy - probably now more than ever. She's also always on time! Max I've waited is probably 2 minutes lol best part is she recommends whats best for your hair - if your desired hair needs a lot of bleach, she will tell you about the damaging consequences before you commit to it. The salon itself is very good and clean as well. The receptionist Jessie is super nice and always asks if I want any samples/closer looks at their products. I get a reminder the day before and they leave a voicemail which is very helpful in case you're at work or something. Last time I went, I saw them sanitizing the showering seats (not sure what they're called) pretty well which is very important to me and others during this time.

I went to Muse hair & Beauty Salon to get a keratin treatment and a hair cut. I’m muslim and I cover my hair. So I tried calling couple of hair salons for keratin treatment but they turned me down saying they wouldn’t accommodate me, but when I called Muse hair salon, Jessie at the front desk was very welcoming and said they would be happy to accommodate me!! May did my keratin treatment and she did a great job!! She was very professional with the keratin application process, which is expected with her years of experience with keratin and other hair straightening treatments. My hair now is shiny and smooth thanks to her. What I also like about May how she knows how to read the room, I had to prepare for a meeting while having my hair done, and she was very quiet and didn’t chat with me until she saw I was done. I had another experience in another salon where the hairdresser kept talking to me even though I was busy working and I couldn’t get any work done. I really can’t recommend Muse hair salon (especially May) enough. I will definitely be going back.

Really convenient online booking system. Mandatory temperature check and hand sanitizer upon entry. Inside is spacious so it felt quite covid safe. Price is fair for a salon, and my favourite stylist is Lay.

My daughter and I had our first cut in BC since we arrived. Our stylist is May and she’s very nice, patient, and professional. Not to mention, vey honest lol She took the time to help us understand the style we want and if our hair texture and how we style it everyday would meet the look we want. Totally loved the experience... would definitely come back again!!

This salon is so nice and everyone there is super friendly. I got a head, neck, and back massage before my hair cut! Every hair cut comes with shampoo and blow dry too. Misato got the style I wanted exactly, and my hair was really soft afterwards. I definitely recommend her.

My boyfriend and I both like Misato the best. She is very professional and understand our needs. She listens :) Your haircut will start off with a wash. She washes your hair using the shampoo that is best for you (as they do have many). When she cuts your hair, she often chats with you so she understands if she needs to improvise. After drying your hair, if you still require adjustments, she's willing to do and repeat the last 2 steps again. It can be a little expensive for the hair cut approx. $55 but worth it. You'll be walking out with style.

I have been going to Muse for about 2 years now and have received various services including blow drying, Uberliss Smoothing Treatment and haircuts. Stylists at Muse are experts and they use excellent products from brands such as Bumble and bumble. Selina and Jesse are always professional and help me with any questions about appointments in a timely manner. I would recommend Muse to anyone who is looking for a hair salon in Vancouver.

I received a haircut from Tomomi and I was very satisfied with my first experience at this salon. They are following covid protocols by requiring masks for staff and customers, doing temperature checks at the door, providing hand sanitizer, and maintaining social distancing. They salon is quite large and I was never in the same room as another customer. They spaced out the washing so that only one customer was in that section of the salon. I was in the back end of the salon during my haircut and I was the only customer in that section. Tomomi spent over an hour on my hair as it was quite grown out due to covid and I had not had a cut in almost a year! She was very thorough and attentive. She asked for my feedback throughout to ensure I was happy with the style. She was also great to chat with! The wash and cut came to $53 with tax which is also much more affordable than other salons which are charging upwards of $70 pre-tax for a long hair cut. The service was great and the lower price gave me room to leave a great tip for Tomomi. I look forward to returning the next time I need a haircut ????

I have super difficult hair. It is not just thick I have a lot of hair. So when I moved I was nervous about finding a new hairdresser. But alas my grey roots forced me to venture out. I called Muse and booked a slot with William. I felt comfortable from the moment I entered. They were very Covid19 compliant so I felt safe. William looked at my hair and made observations regarding my current highlights and what he felt he could do and what issues there might be. There were none. He and his assistant were super meticulous in touching up my roots. The rinse room was relaxing, very spa like. Now came the hard part, styling my hair. Which is time consuming and work. William had no issues and my hair looked fabulous. He made some recommendations for a cut next time which I agree. Will be back! Glad I found my new hairdresser.

Informative! Engaging! and -Considerate- They listen to what you're looking for and are reassuring. I had Sally. She must have picked up that I was a little nervous because I was going to chop off a good 12" of hair. She sat with me and thought about styles of bob and then asked about colours! My hair turned out amazing! Everyone's friendly. Caring. Sweet. Not pushy in the slightest. And I even had the pleasure of having an upset customer beside me. Her hair dresser listened to her concerns and took care of everything. 10/10!

So my hair is naturally very very curly and fizzy. My chance of having a nice hair out in vancouver is under 0. So decided to get Japanese straightening. My hair strands are super thin. So Sally did my Japanese straightening and i came home and it went alllllll curly. Long story short poor Sally worked on my hair every week almost. She went wayyyyyy out of her way to fix my hair. Even last time I was there she was not willing to give up on me, but i found it so unfair to her for the time she puts in. The best of all is her attitude. Not once the warm smile left her face. She cared so much and even dough she is young,she knows exactly what she is doing. If i go back again its definitely because of her. I am willing to travel 1 and a half hour just because of her awesome personality and professional work she does. And you see the love in her face. I strongly recommend you to see her. Thanks Sally! You are amazing!

Love this salon. Tomomi is fantastic, her head massages are so soothing, and her cuts are perfect and efficient. The small details are really lovely. The hair washing sinks have a platform for your head instead of craning your neck. Overall, great salon.

Went there almost 2 weeks ago for hair colour. First of all, they didn’t give me the stylist that I chose while the time of appointment and secondly, hair colour totally changed after one week. It is looking so bad now. It is giving so yellowish vibe. They charged me $408 for that and i am not happy at all.

This review is for time management, not haircutting skill. I've been going to Tomomi for awhile now and she's great, usually takes under an hour and does a good job. Arrived for my appointment at 2 today early, and was told Tomomi was just finishing up a haircut. I let the reception staff know I needed to leave by 3. Waited over 20 mins and was told there was no way I'd be done by 3 because she was running so late. I find the lateness unprofessional and disrespectful of people's time. Tl;dr: if you are a person with a job or other things to do, this place may not be right for you. If being on time doesn't matter to you, the haircuts are good for the price.

Went in to get a YUMI lash lift and tint from Gem Beauty Boutique (inside Muse Hair & Beauty Salon) and had a lovely and relaxing experience. The salon is clean, the service is very friendly and my lashes look great! :) She made sure I was comfortable and explained the process as she went, accommodating my watery sensitive eyes. Spent 9.5 hrs at this salon my hair turned out 2 toned and patchy. The hair stylist apologized and told me she made a mistake. Nobody wants to hear that after sitting there for so long. She wanted to fix it but I could not sit there for any longer. I came back the next day for another 2 hrs. That’s a total of 11.5 hrs. Anyone would say that’s crazy. Also this was my first time being asked to pay in advance not seeing the finished results first. Receptionist was friendly but overall not satisfied with the service and would not go back.

When I called for an appointment, the receptionist offered me a new stylist. She said if I try a new stylist, I can get a 20% discount, so I figured why not. Lay was the one who worked on me. When it came to paying, she said that she decided that there will be no discount, so I had to pay the full price. This is such a bad customer service. If you don't want to give discounts, I suggest don't offer it to begin with.

Sally is my girl! My sister referred me so I got 10% off my first haircut and colour. Sally is awesome - she listens and she's very easy to talk to. If I could give zero stars I would this was the absolute most terrible experience I have ever experienced in 20 years of getting my hair done professionally. The owner is beyond unprofessional, rude, ignorant, and does not stand behind his work to satisfy the customer. I paid over $500.00 for platinum blonde hair and received grey multi coloured hair with missing chunks everywhere and he refuses to offer a refund. He only offered to fix it which he ruined it even more and turned it to a brassy copper colour tone which was a complete mess. The receptionist even over charged me and the owner said I had to come back to even get the difference back that they overcharged me!!!! I will never return and if you don’t want to get ripped off and want a nice blonde colour do NOT go to this salon. I wish I had known before letting the owner touch my hair. Be aware of this scammer.
