I recently had a color correction with Thalina. I had colored my long hair multiple times with very dark colors causing banding and black ends. Thalina not only gave me the exact beautiful result I was hoping for she avoided damage. I was sure I would lose inches from my hair and never get the color I had hoped for. I was almost in happy tears when I walked out loving my hair again. Thank you so much for taking the time and having the thoughtfulness to stay late to get the service done for me in time for my party. I highly recommend Thalina!! \

Most of the stylists here are great people but they don't know how to work with curly hair. They've severely damaged my curls and straightened it with out my consent. The stylist I had wasn't very friendly either and didn't check in with me through out the process.

I found this place on Google and wasnt really sure as some other places i had been to didnt really do what i asked or it just wasnt good. The Head Shed however did a great job, Dana was my hairdresser and she gave me exactly what i wanted and it looks amazing!! Thank you so much, i went in looking blah and came out looking awesome!! I will definitely be a return customer. I got the color i was looking for and the drama i asked for also...They were also very well prepared with covid procedures

Amazing experience, very welcoming and friendly staff. I wanted a huge change and Amanda did that exactly. I have super thick dark hair and went light caramel and short, hair looks amazing. Highly recommend if you want a lovely experience!

I was told when paying their prices had gone up "a little bit", well a full colour from $75 to $95 is more than a little bit plus a haircut? It cost me with medium length hair $131.00 then a tip. I wish these new prices were on the website, I can't afford this very often....

I love The Head Shed - Thalina my stylist saved me from what would have been a very embarrassing situation. I showed up one day asking for urgent help due to a professional dye job gone badly wrong, the receptionist took one look and booked me in for the next day with Thalina! I had a family reunion to go to in AB in 2 days and my hair was a huge mess - she sat me in her chair and spent over 5 hrs (stayed well after closing time) working her magic and turning my hair absolutely gorgeous ! I have been with Thalina and the Head Shed ever since and have received nothing but professional service as well have made a few friendships along the way. . I strongly recommend anyone who might be looking for a stylist go to the Head Shed and ask for Thalina <3

I went somewhere else in Courtenay to get a haircut. The haircut cost around $80 and the hairdresser completely screwed up the cut. Panicking, I went to see Sherri the next day at the Head Shed and asked her if she could fix it. She turned a horrendous haircut into something amazing! I was shocked that she could fix my hair even though it was already so short! I am in love with my new haircut and would highly recommend seeing Sherri if you ever need a haircut! She’s awesome!

Bad expierence. First time going and asked the hair dresser for a short pixie cut, she ended up going scissor happy and cutting way more off then I asked. She said she would leave at least 2-3inch's on top and left .5-1 inch on top. She ignored me during the appointment. And was to busy talking to her fellow co-worker's. Didn't ask me about how the length was until after she chopped it off to short. It was the most awful expierence I have ever had at a hair salon. I do not recommend at all.

I love coming here! All the ladies are amazing and so sweet. I see Bonnie when I'm there, and I always leave happy. She's right in there asking what I want and giving me suggestions. I always have tons of compliments on my hair after I see her! I also brought my 5yr old in who doesn't do well with cuts and the lady was amazing, so patient and kind with him. I will definitely be back!!
