I enjoy going to Ken for a cut, and have gone several times in my year of living in Comox. He is kind, professional, and provides a good haircut. He seems to know the cut that I want, and he's always been right. If you want a proper haircut, go to Ken. If you were unhappy with your beard trim, ask him to fix it up and he'd happily oblige. Or just do it at home, like any man should be able to. I'll keep going back to Ken for a cut.

Went in spontaniously while on vacation in the Comox Valley. Wanted to have my beard trimmed. I told him to just straiten it and leave the shape. He cut a big kink in it at the bottem and would not listen to me, when I told him to not cut somewhere. He just went on screwing it up.

I never have any luck going in. He has turned me away several times even though it is a half hour from closing time and no line ahead of me. The upside is that he has forced me to use barbers that I would not have used otherwise. Have now found a better fit for my needs.

Haircut was well done. However, he did not listen to what I asked for in terms of my beard at all; asked for squared off on the cheeks and chin line, and it turned out uneven on both sides, rounded on the jaw line. Would go back for a haircut and a chat but wouldn’t recommend for a beard.
