What you gotta understand about Mo and his upcuts crew is that they're straight gangstas, understand what I'm saying? These cats know what they're doing, they don't rush you, they take their time and regularly ask if you like the look of the cut so far, they make adjustments, this isn't your typical Wham Bam thank you ma'am operation. The vibe is like chilling at a buddy's stylish condo. Plush black leather couches, a couple of flat panels on the wall hooked up to a PS4 playing dank beets, they almost always have their friends around waiting for cuts, a stimulating conversation. Keep in mind that you can't rush art. Give yourself 1-1 1/2 hours when you come here. They do a solid job, but it takes some time. Upcuts is also extremely popular in the neighborhood, so take an appointment by phone early in the day.

My hair wasn't cut, it was butchered. Patchy and uneven, I asked him to fix it and even after that had to go home and shave some myself. At least it's cheap.

KMPLewis17 I agree with the butchering. My husband went to have his beard done... He came back butchered as well. He always kept his beard 2 inches long, he came back with half an inch and his side burns weren't trimmed. He had to trim everything the next day.

SUMMARY: WOULD NOT RECOMMEND, especially if you have CURLY hair Had a haircut by a 16 year old who told me he learned to cut hair on YOUTUBE. Haircut was way too short and uneven. The hair at the back of my head was longer than the front, bunches of hair on the side were longer than others. I have to add, the employee in question was very nice and a excellent young man. HOWEVER, can not believe that they let him cut hair by himself when he CLEARLY needed more training. If you decide to go here for a haircut, make sure its done by a professional with experience rather than an inexperienced young man with a part time job.

I used to go to a 25-40$ barbershop . Today one of my friends recommended upcuts. I was sceptic at first but the barber there was very polite &friendly he did an amazing job with the fade , and the beard ,was very skilled with scissors also . I feel more than satisfied . When I gave him 40$ for the 20$ cut he refused . He was very humble will definitely come back ????????
