Superbly skilled, warm and welcoming and incredibly attentive to detail, the professionals here will give you the best haircut you have ever had. It’s the little things: trimming every stray hair; using a straight razor deftly and cleanly; hot towels, and, an extra feature: threading. Never had it done? ASK. This was my first time visiting Brothers and I left very satisfied. The shop was clean and had a nice old school vibe to it, and I didn't wait even 5 minutes before someone was free to do my hair. I got a low skin fade from Dennis and he did a fantastic job even as speedy as he was. Highly recommended, you won't find a cheaper place for good haircuts.

The lone female barber, Kalreigh ...is truly the "Queen of the Mullet"! She says that since she grew up in Sooke, that the mullet was the very first haircut that she learned. It shows...she did mine so quickly and knew when to STOP cutting...which I find is where a lot of barbers fall short. I ditched my higher-priced barber and will surely be coming back to Brother's for a no-nonsense, quality haircut! The haircut still looks great after sleeping on it...the true test of a properly executed Mullet.

Very happy with my haircut. The guys were all really friendly and worked quickly, keeping an eye on when customers arrived so they could get to them in the correct order. I'm not sure if they typically do women's cuts but I keep my hair short in a fade so for what I needed they were perfect. Just a note/friendly heads up, they're cash only. I wasn't prepared, so my buddy had to spot me the $13 for my hair cut (which is an unbelievably good price). They were really laid back about it though and had no problem accepting USD.

Well I have been in this country for slightly more than a year and it had become so difficult for me to find the right hair salon. I tried different salons in Langford and Victoria for the first 8 months and they literally messed up with my hair big time. I don't know if people just don't know how to style your hair or its me not being able to explain what I want since English is not my first language. However, a friend suggested me to go to brothers and I can finally say that I am gonna be getting my haircut at this salon till the time I am gonna be staying on the island. I went to brothers twice and I was totally satisfied with the way it looked later once I washed it and everything. Highly recommend.. specially for people coming from outside and are specific with their hairstyle

Oh yes, hair cut. I moved to Victoria nearly an year ago(10 and half months to be precise) from Vancouver. Ever since I came here i missed my regular hair saloon in Vancouver. I have been searching for a shop where I could see myself smiling, at the end of a hair cut section, but unfortunately,My experience was more disappointing every time. I had 10 different haircuts from 10 different shops in Victoria in 10 months,even though I told every single one the same choice of style. Thank God, a friend of mine noticed a "brother's shop" on fort street recently. I went to borthers barbershop today,expecting another weird haircut to try. however, believe me, they shocked me to the highest possible level they could. There she is. Karleigh with an inviting smile to make your dream hairstyle come true. At least she listened to what I have to say in the beginning before giving her own suggestions. Well to be honest, her suggestions were great. She finished sooner than I thought and did it very neatly. Surprise Surprise. Look who is smiling at last. Yes I smiled at the end for the first time after a feather cut in Victoria..Yes Karleigh, you are marvellous in what you do and keep doing the same. good job. Yes tha'ts right.That old school shoulder massage. you can still experience it in Brothers Va barbershop. Actually all those guys work there, are pretty awesome.(each one of them has a different hair style. yes i noticed it. lol) Last but not the least, $13 for a men's haircut? are you joking with me now? no, no absolutely not. It took awhile for me too, to keep my eyebrows down when they said $13 for the cut. you heard it right. only $13 for a good hair cut when compared to $35 to $55 haircuts in Vancouver. I would really recommend everyone to try it at least to see you can make this place favourite. yeah I got my right place. thanks everyone for reading it.

My son was one of those kids who screamed the whole time while getting his haircut. He moved constantly and was just a terror for barbers. My son was 2 the first time I brought him to Brother's Barbers and I warned them ahead of time that he was not an easy kid. They were great on the phone and assured me that they would make sure he got a great cut. We haven't been anywhere else since. They're always calm and patient with him, and he always gets an amazing haircut. Luckily he's not a terror anymore, and I think it's because they took the time to show him that haircuts aren't so scary ????

First trip here today on recommendation. The other reviews are pretty spot on about how kind these guys are. Pretty relaxed setting. I didn't get my barbers name but he did a fantastic job on the fade and shave. Never had a shave before at the barbers but I think it's something I'll consider from now on. Prices are comparable to other shops but these guys pay more attention to details. Definitely going back and referring others here. I'm one happy guy! Thanks for making me feel like a million bucks!

This has been my barber spot for the past year or so. Both myself and my 5 year old son come here to get looking fresh for less. Less in that they charge $13 for an above average haircut. Most barbers there are good but I recommend one of the brothers themselves, especially Art. My son goes to Karly who has mad skills too and is super sweet to my boy. He looks forward to going there and it is not just for the lollipop. Expect to wait when going here but that can be mitigated by arriving before noon mid week.

The owner is extremely rude, and I'm sure he is racist. He didn't make any eye contact with me, when I'm paying he didn't say thank you, I didn't get any welcome. I live in the area and see him often, he just looks right through me. I'm annoyed with myself for ever giving him my money, and i tipped them well. He didn't make me feel valued or want to come back. If you want to work in someones neighbourhood it doesn't hurt to be kind especially when I am giving you my money. Shame on you. I will never go back, but you don't care anyway as you didn't barely want to serve me in the first place. F for you!

I am only giving 4 stars because I’m their regular. I just got done with my haircut with Vic. I waited 45 mins like always to get my turn. In return I got a haircut from Vic which took him only 3 MINUTES. That is really unprofessional. I have had bad experience with Vic before too as he finished my haircut but didn’t blow dry my hair. My hair was soaking wet and he was pretending to be done with the haircut. All other barbers are up to the game there as I have tried most of them. But not Vic. Please avoid him.

This is your one stop shop for haircuts. I’ve been coming to get haircuts with the barber TK for 2-3 years, and I’m a regular. As a perfectionist it’s important for my cuts to be on point. Skin fade, beard line up, trim the top, curls or blow dry, he gets it done on point each time. I appreciate how I go every 1-2 weeks, and he never disappoints. He also has services for hair colouring and braids. Loving it.

Had to wait a good 45mins to get a cut, and they could certainly benefit from some kind of ‘take-a-number’ system to help with the disorganization of knowing who’s been waiting the longest. That being said, the haircut was quite quick and rather well done, exactly what I was looking for, and only cost $13+tip! I’ll definitely be back, though will try to aim for a less busy time.

I got there and it was busy, so I had to wait. looking at what they were doing, it was art work, not haircuts. Beautiful work and so much pride in their work. Guy carved a straight line into my hairline for some reason? Spent six months growing it out again, went back and they did it again! I asked him not to but he was in deep conversation with other customers/employees and must have ignored me. I went to this barbershop to support locally owned businesses in the area. It was very welcoming and the staff are great. My issues are with their level of sanitization and cleanliness. Notwithstanding there was a container full of "Barbicide" on the desk, nothing was in it. There was no sanitation done between clients. The barber used the same hair cutting tools on me as clients before. I watched to see what preparation he did after the client before me left and other than brushing off the chair there wasn't any sanitization. My biggest concern was when I left the place bleeding from several minor cuts from the buzzer on my neck. While not serious, the fact that the cuts got inflamed as the day went on made me worry about what I may have contracted. Thankfully they almost healed and as of today are mostly gone away. The barber did insert a fresh blade in his straight edge razor, but I didn't see him sterilize the actual blade holder itself. Checked out the city's public health page on this business and they have had infractions despite only being open for a few months. I can understand when the place is busy, some things get missed but he didn't seem like he was concerned about any possible contamination from blood on his tools. They have so much going for them as a business but they really need to seriously work on their cleanliness and sanitization.
