They are incredibly open and welcoming, even to a rube like me who doesn't know the first thing about hair. Rolando is probably the best barber in Atlanta, and I've been to a few barbers. He really intuitively understands hair. Great conversationalist too, extremely easy to talk to. Goes above and beyond to deliver an amazing experience. I barely gave him any direction and he knew exactly where to take my hair as well as a style to boot. I don't really know how this place could be any better if I'm being honest.

If you live in or near Kirkwood and don't want to fight the crowd to get a haircut at The Shave, then you should visit The Trophy Room. The service there is comparable (hot towel included), and it is never crowded even though they are busy everyday. You have to make an appointment to get a haircut. No walk-ins are allowed. The owner, Ronaldo, is a friendly and very hospitable guy. He's offered me something to drink while I've waited for a haircut. I've been here several times before and I'll be back again.

Great place. They offer refreshments (non-alcoholic) while waiting, appointment system is very simple, everyone is extremely friendly, and they remember all of their clients. I think I’ve finally found a barber in Atlanta! Making an appointment was easy, as it was done online rather than trying to hunt around for a time with a busy employee over the phone. I received timely reminders about my appointment, too, which was helpful. Once I got to the shop, Rolando was very kind and helpful—when it became clear that I was very ignorant of the appropriate jargon and even of exactly what I wanted, he explained everything to me and gave me his opinions on what would work best for me. After getting my hair cut and beard trimmed and shaved, I’m very pleased that I took his opinions to heart. On the decor end of things, I was also very happy. The shop has an old-timey feel but also manages to look very clean and modern. I enjoyed the use of rolling toolchests as the… uh, barber tables, I guess? The implements were also all very minimalistic, aesthetic, quality-looking tools, which gave me some more confidence in the seriousness of the operation. Anyway: I’ll be back next time I need something done with my hair or beard.

The service was nice and friendly but I wasn't happy with the haircut. I showed example pictures that I'll post here and also said that I wanted to keep the top of my hair long. I've been working on growing it out. He asked to trim some of the top to make it even and I said that was fine but didn't expect him to cut so much off. My hair was about 4 inches long and would reach my eyes before. You can tell in the picture how short it is now :/

So many things I've missed. I've been getting my hair cut by Chadwick for the past three years, but have also had it cut by Rolando. Honestly though would trust any of them if I was in a pinch.

I got a haircut and beard trim at Trophy Room Barber Shop for the first time today. I made an appointment through their website with Chadwick. Making the appointment was fast and easy. I arrived early at about 1:30 when everyone was on lunch break. Rolando came out and let me know they were eating lunch but would be back in a few minutes. He was very nice and offered me something to drink. Chadwick did an awesome job making sure my hair was cut the way I wanted and that my beard was trimmed properly. The experience and cut are definitely worth the few extra dollars more someone will pay if they go to Trophy Room Barber Shop instead of one of the big chain hair salon/barbershop where a good haircut can be hard to find.

This place is great! The people are super nice. It's easy to make an appointment in advance online and they will schedule future appointments after your haircut. You get a cut, wash, hot towel, and straight razor with the haircut. I've had plenty of bad experiences in Atlanta but this is not one of them. Give these guys your business!

STELLAR barber shop!!! Due to a scheduling issue my husband couldn't go to his regular barber shop and I had to be in Atlanta for a post-op appointment. I was sick and miserable (understatement) but my husband needed a haircut so we scoped out this place on Google. Rolando immediately noticed my condition and offered me crackers and soda water. He was the most compassionate person I've met in a while. My husband loved the haircut and conversation too! Rolando went above what we expected and we were very thankful! Thank you!!!!

Stumbled across this barber shop on Reddit and was not disappointed. I had my beard butchered twice and had to find a place seasoned in beard trims. After reading all the positive reviews and posts, I committed and booked with Ronaldo. The shop was clean, staff was professional, service on point. After every clip and shear I was asked if it looked good and it was just that. The buzz cut and trim couldn't have turned out better. Ronaldo literally was cutting strays while I was paying at the register; attention to detail is nuts. This is the only establishment I will get a cut and trim from. I drive at least an hour from Dawsonville for this and would go farther if I had to. Exceptional barber shop.

Great haircut and great conversation! My first visit was very pleasant and easy. Michelle did a great job on my hair and the reservation appointment service is vastly superior to The Shave. It's about $5 more but you also get a hair wash. So worth it.

I decided to switch it up after feeling like those other shops weren’t cutting my hair how I was asking, and instead just handing out run-of-the-mill undercuts.
