We wont go there anymore. After being regular customers and putting up with a bit of abruptness now and again ,we've decided that enough is enough. Three times now we've booked appointments only to be told to sit and wait and then have the person who was supposed to cut our hair leave. Twice also we walked in and told to come back and then to wait again. This last time when I asked how long it will take I was told by an old lady that it will take however long it takes. Well, yeah, that's very rude and unprofessional. You're not all that and your attitude is losing you clients.

Many of the employee's are well trained and do a fantastic job. I am a repeat customer and I am proud of it. The only issue I have is there is one male barber who gave me a poor hair. This experience was a year or so ago, however since going back I have yet encountered the same barber. Overall, a positive experience and worth going too.

Angelina is awesome at the barber's chair. I've been going here for years and she has been nothing but sweet, kind, and professional with me. Today (January 19th) I had an appointment with Angelina at 7:30pm. I was 10 minutes early, and Angelina had a walk in, but the walk in specifically said he wanted to go with another barber and said they would wait for the other barber (can't remember their name). So Angelina took me early. At this point Moe Saleh, steps around the corner and starts chewing Angelina for taking me instead of the walk in, even though the walk in said he would wait for the other barber. Moe Saleh spoke negatively to Angelina almost the duration of my hair cut, so I spoke up and defended her with a first account of what happened, then he basically treated me the same way as Angelina, trying to prove me and her were wrong and he was right. Absolutely unpleasant and Unprofessional. If it were for Angelina, I'd give you guys 5 stars but because of Moe Saleh, you get 1 star...unacceptable

BE CAREFUL: Had a horrible experience here. Being black, there aren't many barber shops in st Catharines that know how to cut our hair. I went in for a skin fade and ended up getting an entire neck full of razor bumps/burns. No hate but their barbers really don't have enough experience with different hair types!

The stylist did not do what I wanted at all, opting instead for what she thought would look better. Not only was it 3 inches shorter than I asked for, it had to go even shorter because the back was completely uneven which she attributed to her doing a good job. Its poorly layered so all of it feels uneven and choppy on my neck, and I didn't even ask for any layering. I'm wearing a bandana for the next two months. The back is still uneven and I've accepted I'm going to look awful for the next 6 months. Customer service was pretty rough as well, the stylist was trying to convince me I wanted something else, and even when I corrected her on what I wanted she pressed on with her idea. If her idea was mangling my hair then spot on. How she messed up the basics like making sure both sides were the same length is beyond me. During the cut, she was also overall rude to my previous hairstyle and didn't respect that I wanted it to remain the same. The quality of this place heavily depends on your stylist. I once had a good stylist here, but I tried a new one and I heavily regret it. This place is too much of a coinflip to bet your hair on. I bet mine, and I lost hard. I'm keeping my hair cropped out of photos for the next few months because of this place.

Trans exclusionary. I went here once and was very very happy with the haircut and service. But once they found out I wasn't biologically male they gaslighted me out of service. They would tell me that they were too busy so I would offer to wait. And they let me sit there for an hour while accepting 12 other walk-ins (not appointments). This happenedhmore than once. This not only was very unprofessional and rude but extremely upsetting. I wonder if they'll let me in after I'm on testosterone ????????????????????

Got a haircut for my graduation. It was a decent fade, though the barber (Margarita) was rushed while giving my haircut. While the haircut was good I didn't feel fully valued as a customer which should be part of the barbershop experience. Straight razor on the back of the neck was a nice touch. $27 for a fade (tax included)

Moe usually cuts my hair but I hadn't made an appointment, I went there and I asked for a skin fade and the girl that cut my hair completely skinned my head, I don't have hair anymore. I went there and complained to the front desk and the first thing that the woman at the front desk said was "What do you want me to do?" very angrily and she fought with me until I left. I remember asking clearly 3 times for a skin fade putting énfasis in "fade". What if my school has a dress code where I can't have my hair that short and then I get in trouble? Honestly the worst experience I had with any barber.

I absolutely love coming here. Especially to see Roy or Nick. HOWEVER! The front desk is horribly rude every time I come in. I came in (today) a Saturday at 5:25PM and was told that they aren't taking anyone in for the rest of the day as they close at 6:00PM... Both Roy and Nick were available and there was only one client in there. I was then told to go across the way to the other hair dressers because, "They will probably take you" Why would you send business away?... I am reluctant to come here anymore just because the counter staff simply doesn't care. I always have a bad experience with them. Zero eye contact, Zero appreciation for business and Zero customer service with them... I expect better customer service from the cashiering desk when I'm spending (to me) what seems like top dollar for a hair cut. I would like management would reply to this.

if i could give it no stars i would. Went in with my boyfriend . I made him bring a picture of what he wanted so there was no confusion and he clearly stated nothing off the top. The blonde girl cutting his hair first thing she did was chop 3 inches right off the top while he said wow wait. to late gone. Months of him growing it out and he just wanted the sides and back cleaned up. and a photo is the girl just blind and deff or just playing inconsiderate. Thanks for a terrible job. Dont go here unless you want a buzz cut.

I got my hair cut there and specifically asked for them to use a 4 on the back and sides and slightly strim the top and use no hair products. But he used 4 on the top and a 1 on the sides. Next he covered my hair in hairspray and wax.

I moved to Grimsby 8 years ago and have not been able to find another place that consistently meets my expectations... they are quick, courteous, professional and inexpensive. Some of the staff have have been there forever! Don't be afraid to give them a try - I doubt you'll be disappointed.

This is place is so bad. Using 5 mins for citing your hair and don't even wash. I showed a picture before the guy cut my hair, he just take look for 3 second and ready to cut my hair, when he finished(takes him like 5mins) it nothing like the picture. Really bad service. Ever come back.

Haircuts are passable I guess, but overpriced. Beards stay away! Have gone in 2 times for beard trim, 1st time wasnt very good, was uneven, not styled or faded very well, and they only trimmed half the moustache. I chalked it up to maybe a new person/ a fluke. 2nd time is what sealed never going back. Significantly more was taken off than what I asked for, neck was not trimmed or tidied up at all, middle of the moustache was shaved and sides were left completely untrimmed (number 2 shaved right under the nose, 1.25" long hairs right next to that with no fade) basically no real trimming or tidying up, and no styling at all. All they did was shave the sides down WAY more than I asked for, ruin my moustache, and charge a huge amount. Had to go to a 2nd barber shop later that day and ask them to please do what they could to make it look halfway decent. If you need a haircut and dont mind paying a lot then it's ok, but beards beware! You will need to clean shave to fix the ruined mess that they leave you with

Very clean and friendly atmosphere. They're definitely taking every necessary precaution to make sure customers are safe during the pandemic while providing excellent and affordable haircuts. Beard trims are unavailable at the moment due to restrictions but the receptionist let me know this ahead of time. Lisa, the stylist who cut my hair, is really friendly and professional. I just wanted a trim but it’s like, half way through the song she was singing from the radio she forgot and just started chopping, I mean chomping and chopping! I didn’t want it blended either and I had to stop her from doing that too but the damage was already done. Couldn’t leave one side blended and the other not, right? ...WRONG! Now I got froggin Mohawk. Definitely not going back. I hate my haircut. Absolute hated the whole experience. Thick woman with dark hair. 3-4th sink from the left. Don’t do her, she froggin chops! Excellent hair barbers, my 2 year old son got a hair cut here by a man named Sam. I was blown away by how good he was at making the event lots of fun and safe for my child. My child was even laughing at some parts because of how engaging He was! Totally recomend Sam. As well, for myself I have been going here for close to a year now, taking whatever barber is available, and i have been extremely satisfied with the results. My wife has a great eye for detail and is the true critic of my hair, and she has been thoroughly impressed Most of the time. Receptionist is always polite when I call in to schedule a appointment, and I have gotten in right away everytime I booked an appointment! Overall I do recommend you give it a shot and book a haircut!

Came here during the last reopening and was asked to pay before my haircut (not a good sign). Finally sat down and asked for a #3 which later translated to her lecturing me about clipper sizes and shaving my head entirely, avoid Lisa. Actually just take your business to Mavericks. Not coming here again.

Honestly don't recommend. There are so many better options in St. Catharines. You can drive literally five minutes and find a better place for cheaper. Staff seems hit and miss, if you gel with one of the hairdressers than you're solid but there seems to be high turnover.

Worst haircut I’ve ever recieved all three times I attempted to go there. This time in particular. Overcharged me, and didn’t believe I was a student even though I look like a 16 year old (which I am). I asked for a fade starting at a 2, lady just buzzed the sides at a 2 with no fade. Asked for an inch off the top, she barely trimmed. The top was also left with a straight edge making it look like a bowl cut. She also decided to change my hair lines without telling me, now there’s just patches of stubble along with longer uneven hair on my forehead. I also asked for it to be squared off, and the back is rounded along with the sideburns. Awful experience, I hate how it looks. I wouldn’t recommend trusting them with your hair, even if they paid you. Worst hair I’ve ever had.

Oster Clippers $289.00 plus blades 1 to 4 at $55.00 each Wahl Magic Clippers $150.00 Andis Slim Trimmer $110.00 Bald Shaver $120.00 Straight razors for EVERY client daily Shave Foam Hot Lemon Towels Aftershave Talc Power Bactericide Daily Disinfectants on all tools and chairs Shampoo & Conditioner FEES for License, FEES for sharpening Tools, Costs of Oils and Lubes for Tools Quite frankly the value for ANY cut by any BARBER in this shop would be $65.00 and upwards in Toronto. And on that note you may be surprised that some clients NEVER even tip their barber. Yet they are most willing to provide their bartender for 1 beer a $2.00 tip. Its not only insulting but its deplorable behavior. Especially given the current climate of a virus and the owner has gone out of his way to increase safety measure(s) by proving additional bacterial based sprays and soaps prior to our temp. closure. Closed Early!! Went Sunday Oct 26 at 5:46pm. Was told they were closed. I pointed out that the sign on the door as well as everything online says they close at six. The girl behind the counter told me that they wanted everybody out by six so they couldn’t take me. What??!!?? If you want everyone out at 6, post a close at 5:30, don’t make people drive all the way there just because you feel like going home early. Very disappointed.

Dom's been cutting my hair now for at least 5 years I'd say, call ahead to book an appointment and don't just show up expecting to get the barber you want. My advice? When in a pinch and visiting family, I will stop by here for a cut... however after yesterday's visit I won't be going back. It started out great, I was asked how I was, and if it was my first time, etc. I was asked how I wanted it cut and I explained. At one point I asked to have it shorter on the top as to which the young lady accommodated politely and all seemed well in the world. After a quick wash, rinse, hot towel and a bit of product, I had paid and was on my way to a great day of family fun. Since I didn't add any of my own product into my hair or style it myself, I I had no reason to inspect the work done to my hair... until this morning, where I found that I easily could have done a better job... considering that there was not one part of my haircut that was consistent with the other. Originally I had asked for short on the sides and back with a little longer on top for a messy look or faux. I ended up receiving the cheese grater look... super short in areas long in other spots... and a channel of short hair down the off center of my head with half bangs missing. I'm amazed as to what can be covered up with a hair dryer and brush. A $30 (including tip) cut will now cost me another $25 to fix. I would rather have had a good cut without the "fluff". I don't recommend going here, just especially if you already have regular barber somewhere else... You will be disappointed and lighter in the wallet.

Been going here for a while now, but I think I am going to reconsider coming back. I'll start here John is a great barber most of the time. I usually go out of my way to drive here and only see him and buy my products from the shop. Lately it seems like my haircut is being rushed and for sure not done to the quality I like. Sometimes he would forget to cut my baby bangs or other times the fade really wasn't up to par. It is also impossible to book with him lately because he hasn't been there for the shifts he is usually there for but doesn't seem to be making the time up. Also the prices are terrible now. 26 bucks for the cut so I'm leaving 30 and the products are very high in price. They are good quality but the price just makes it not worth it. Towards the end of my cut, he noticed something very little wrong with the cut and made sure that I didn't leave until everything was up to his specifications. I usually bring my boys to go see Sam but found out that he left. No one knows where he left apparently so I can’t find him :(. I asked to book with someone who was as equally good with kids. I was bringing in my 11 month old for his first haircut. The person did the haircut but was not good with kids at all. He even did the line of the fade in the wrong spot on his head. The 2 girls at the reception were talking to each other and I had to wait for them to finish their conversation before they helped me. Disappointed that Sam has left and now I’m on the hunt for a new barber who is actually good with kids and is willing to put in the time to be friendly and kind to them + do a good job.

Have to agree with the other reviews. All of the Barbers have been great in my experience but the front desk is always grouchy. I've heard them back biting barbers and complaining about them taking their breaks when it's busy. Everyone deserves their breaks. And if you do have a problem you shouldn't back bite in front of customers. Also, it drives me insane when business don't update their hours on Google. Online presence is so important and their hours are still listed as they were pre-covid. Maybe the front desk could spend less time griping about the barbers who do a great job and invest that time into making sure their posted hours and details are accurate. I suspect they're related to the owner.

Everyone's review's about waiting and pricey, I say you get what you pay for. The wait is because they are that great that people book in advance. As for people saying the service is rude, it's bs. I went as walk in to get my son a haircut with Moe (my friend recomended him) but they said they are fully booked and they can give me a spot for the next day. I showed up to our appointment 15mins early and I had to wait for 45mins (with 2 toddlers!) until I decided to get up and say to the receptionist that Im leaving if they dont take us in now. She apologized and said Moe is still with a customer(without even talking to him or asking him anything) and if I would like to let someone else give my son a haircut instead. Ofcourse I said yes! But here comes the worst part, one of the barbers refuses to take us in because he doesnt want to upset moe so eventually because of how awkward it got the other barber took us in. He was nice and patient with my son and he saved the day. But im never stepping back into this place ever again!!! No respect for their customers what so ever. And Moe didnt even bother to apologize of anything like that.

I came in asking for someone who is well expierenced at fades and eyebrows, the woman at the front desk, very delightful, recommended someone. I sat down and explained very carefully, using photos to describe the service I wanted. In the end I got a terrible fade that didnt match up on either side, she cut it to half the length I asked. In the end I had to get a completely different cut than I asked and poorly done.The eyebrows were also done "keeping a manly shape" even though I said I didnt want that, and left hairs all around the eyebrows. Other than all that, it was a clean shop, friendly staff and good atmosphere!

Save yourself the time and money! I got asked if I cut my own hair and the barber laughed when looking at the unevenness of my last cut. In the end, he ended up doing a HORRIBLE job. My hair was cut way too short on the top, and he cut too far up into the middle of my head. Ended up looking like half a Mohawk. Yesterday (September 22nd) at around 12:00, the two girls in the front desk (one brown girl, one asian) were just on their phones. I even heard one of the girls talking about me to the other (I was sitting in the bench in front of the store) because I sneezed in my sleeve instead of my mask.
