I get my hair cut here every week. No fuss, no worries. Just a simple hair cut. Great price and the barbers are friendly.

Highly skilled barbers who take their time and do it right.

Great place to get a mans hair cut. Classic place with good service!

Definitely a Toronto landmark. I remember as a child waking by with my father and he told me you know what I remember waking by with my father my grandfather. True story. I'm guessing to was probably around 1968.

Never been here before but read good reviews so I tried to get a walk up appointment today. Walked into the store to find the three employees without any customers. When I asked for an haircut they all looked confused and I had to repeat myself multiple times. Finally one gentleman told me in a very condensing manner that this was a barber shop and they couldn't help. I did a double take as while I am a woman I have a short men's cut. I simply wanted a fade on the side and the back. I began to argue this fact in disbelief as the employees got louder trying to tell me to go across the road instead. Let me remind you that they had no customers at the time. I pressed the point about their inability to cut my hair because of my gender but they just kept repeating that this was a barber shop. I suppose the other barbers I've been to before haven't been real one because they cut short styles regardless of the body they're attached to. Do not visit this place as they obviously do not want to make money and want to stay and outdated boys club. If I could give this place a zero rating for horrible customer service and humiliating practises I would.

Expensive, but a great experience

Pretty good spot. Meticulous. $25

Really skilled and experienced barber (older Chinese lady). Doesn't speak English very well but still manages to communicate and give a great haircut.

Always fast and friendly. My go to barber shop.

Great traditional haircuts, don't come here if you're expecting anything hipster.

It's pretty simple to cut my hair as my entire head is shaved, but the guys at Terminal Barber do a great job and provide all the little extras that make a barber shop worthwhile. After I get my hair cut during the lunch hour, they use a …

Good place

The best Barber shop in town! Hands down! Very experienced, excellent coustmer service, very nice and clean store. Try it and you will not be disappointed. :)

Wait forever to get my hair cut, guy called me over to take a seat, spends the next 2 minutes texting without looking up, then unenthusiastically asks me what I want. I just stood up and left. I used to go to these guys while I went to university, and they have obviously gone downhill. If you're not going to put a fraction of courtesy or passion in your job, I'm not going to give you my service.

Moe, Tony, Mike, and the rest of the crew are very talented, knowledgeable, and friendly. They are legends in the craft of grooming.

Old fashioned place does a decent haircut

Great experiences and service each time I'm there. I could not recommend them enough!

Cash only! Good haircut, costs 25 dollars.

Great cut for the right price

Awesome guys. Just awesome :) heading their right now actually

Good hair cut, with old school feel.!

I’ve been getting my haircut at Terminal Barber Shop for 15 years. I’ve never had a bad hair.

I gave a 2star because the shop itself is like a time capsule. The old school barber feel is refreshing. The quality and barber skill level is more like a 1 IMO. I called prior to my arrival to ask how long the wait line is, I was told I could get seated right away. I work 5 min up Bay St (I walked pretty fast). Walked in and I was the 4th gentleman to take a seat and wait. I'm fine with waiting but don't lie to the customer. The barbers pretty much rushed every cut including mine. While I was in the chair a customer called and asked pretty much the same question I had prior to coming in. The barbers response was "just come in". Keep in mind it's getting close to closing time and one barber left just before closing. These guys here rush all cuts and pay no attention to detail and lack all skills of a quality barber. It seems the goal here is to get as many cuts done in a day as possible. Which is counter intiutitve to a proper barber. For 25.00$ plus a tip totaling 30$ (I tipped good because I do appreciate the physical demand of cutting hair all day). I could have gone to my usually salon that charges 30$ plus tip and the gentleman that cuts me there has way better skills with the machine and scissors and get a shampoo and head massage by a beautiful salon attendant included. But I was in a rush. My final words are "Never again, who's next?"

It's not the cleanest place (well it is a barbershop and there is always hair around). People are nice, polite and quick. Usually busy in the afternoons.

First time at Terminal, very friendly, very old school, very fast. Aziz did a great job on my do.

Fast, careful and reasonable

They’d lie to your face and ruin your day and haircut. Avoid at all costs

Best straight blade shave.

Very competent barbers that take their time and cut properly.

Great hair cut, will come back!

Really awesome barber shop. Walked in and got s great cut in reasonable time. The owners are very hard working and run a great business.

Fantastic men's haircut and an atmosphere that best emulates an old school wealthy barber shop (complete with leather wingback leather chairs, dark wood and clean razer cleanup).

My go-to barbers for the last 4 years. They know what they're doing.

Best hot towel shave I've ever had... and Mustafa did a terrific job shaving my head, something I was nervous about doing. I highly recommend Terminal Barber Shop. Great location, excellent atmosphere, and very friendly and personable service.

I have been coming here for over 10 years. No nonsense hair cuts, expertly done. I started going to the second location, just west on Dundas. That location is a little roomier.

The value for your money at this barber is unrivaled. I will absolutely be returning

Been going there for a few years , never had a bad haircut. Aziz is a rockstar. Anyone who complains they didnt get what they asked for is out to lunch. Great service , if you want a 15$ haircut go get one ! if you want to spend a few extra $ then stop here

Finally I found my favorite spot to get my hair cut! There is a guy named Ali and he is amazing . I highly recommend him! :)

Classic barbershop. They do a good job, a little rough.

Great staff, real professionals

I never settle for a mediocre haircut and I've been getting my haircut here for the past year. Enough said. Look for Aziz, he is amazing!

Outstanding service, great vintage barber shop ambience, and fair prices. I recently started coming to Terminal and will make this my main shop. …

Was just able to walk in off the street and get a haircut after almost a year with nothing more than a trim. Went from should length to short and stylish in about 20 minutes! Great guys, great atmosphere. Cash only, FYI - though thankfully they do take USD.

Ali for a good good fade

I left my soccer ball there. Decent haircut too.

I left my soccer ball there. Decent haircut too.

Great place for a cut

My husband is a loyal customer for a reason: amazing place, very clean, got character, great ambiance, highly skilled, very professional and extremely polite staff.

Adequate service for the price

Decent haircut in a convenient location. The prices were a bit high but that was expected. This place has a lot of cool history.

I went for a shave and a haircut based on reviews I saw online. My haircut was done to my liking and the hot towel shave was fantastic. A new blade was used and my barber made sure I was aware that it was new. I will be back.

I had 12in long hair that I had been growing out for ~2 years. I went in for a haircut, hoping to keep it long, just past my shoulders (~8in). I showed a picture of myself with my hair at that length to the barber who said “no problem” and then proceeded to cut all but about 2-3 inches off. I looked terrible, along with having all my hair cut off, the hair cut looked like a terrible mullet. I left in disbelief and had to get a second haircut that same day (I went somewhere else).

Great cut - these guys know what they're doing. fast & efficient.

Not too bad

Great place to get a haircut!

Amazing experience - just moved to the area and will always go here for my monthly cut! fast and high quality service for a great price. on top of all that the environment inside is astonishing!

Very professional, high quality haircut. The atmosphere is pleasant. It gets quite busy on Saturday afternoon.

Simple, basic, men's haircut where they don't scalp you.

Good haircuts without a doubt paid attention to detail but very pricey, most expensive haircut I've got and I've had that level of cut for 10 bucks less. Not sure if I caught them on a off day but they seem unfriendly.

Terminal barber shop 2 was where i was directed. Professional barbers. They know how to cut your hair.

Excellent service

Amazing quality. They are professionals that ask for realistic prices. This place may turn into my usual.

The place with a long story. Ahmed was super professional and attentive!

Barbers are nice guys. Kind of pricey but hard to find a place with a short wait in the area.

Finally a decent barbershop that doesn't break the bank! Aziz would be my go to guy there.

(Translated) Perfect place for breakfast in Toronto. (Original) Sitio perfecto para desayunar en Toronto.

the shave is the best part here

Have been going to these guys regularly since 2018. I’ve had various different barbers cut my hair here and they have always done an excellent job. Highly recommend a visit.

Excellent service. Aziz is greta, always enthusiastic, energetic, and quite professional. You should go there if you want a good hair cut. There are two places of this barber shop Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. Terminal 2 is just 2 mins away at ~168 Dundas St W right between Subway and Starbucks, that's where Aziz works! All barbers there are great too.

Nice barbershop I have been going to since moving to Toronto 5 years ago. Quick and finally getting some conversation with the barbers. Cash only and usually a bit of a wait after 5pm on weekdays.

My favourite barber shop, been visiting since university!

Great prices, service, and quality.

Not very welcoming right from the get go. Started off by just pointing to a random corner of the shop where I can leave my jacket - it's all the way at the end of the store. If they really wanted to keep a customer would it kill him to take the jacket and ask the customer to take a seat instead ? I would have ignored this but the kicker to was how welcoming they were to the next and subsequent customer - said hi took the man's jacket etc. Guys I can pay for the cut but I can't pay for the therapy that you need to overcome your narrow minded prejudices. Next, he had a plan of his own when it came to the cut. I wanted to have some hair on the top to comb but he just went crazy with the scissors without even pausing to check the length occasionally. I ended up with a cut that looked like something that I could have done with a #4 at home. No neck support for when he was working on the beard. I don't know if it's because the seats don't have a neck support or because the barber couldn't care less to put it up. Overall it was a very basic hair cut - nothing special and definitely not worth $30. Could have got a better one for $16 a few doors down. The only reason I went was coz my regular barber is busy this weekend and I really needed a cut asap. Next time I'm just waiting a week or heading to one of the many other barbers in the downtown area.

This place is beautiful, and everyone there is very good at what they do. As soon as you walk in, you feel like you're in a 19th century barbershop. All …

fast no complaints

COVID-19 Update: staff are taking the utmost care to ensure safety for all staff and patrons. PPE is being worn by staff and patrons are required to wear masks. Best barber shop in the city. All of the staff are great and professional. Note that it is cash only.

Great spot, great barbers, recommended. I recommend asking the barbers for their advice/take on your hair instead of walking in with something hyper-specific in mind. They are knowledgeable professionals who have never let me down.

Walked in and he turned me away and told me the place around the corner will cut my hair better? Who knows.

Horrible Barbers. I told them specifically not to cut my hair too short, and the guy proceeded to trim my hair like he was trimming wool. He completely disregarded all of the instructions I gave him, and I could tell that he just quickly wanted to get it over with. Kept on looking at the news and his phone WHILE cutting my hair. Will never come again. Totally not worth the $25 bucks.

Very happy with the haircut I received here. The barber was friendly and took all necessary precautions against covid.

The service was great. Had to wait a bit because it was busy , but it was worth it. Overall good experience.

Worst shop ever. Save your life and don't ever go to this place.

I have been going to this hairdresser since I moved to Toronto in 2019, very happy with the service and quality of the haircuts. Would recommend if downtown and looking for a new hairdresser.

Been getting my haircut for 5 years. These guys are amazing and do excellent hair cuts and fades. I guess that’s why they have been around for so long.

Not very friendly or welcoming

Fast and consistent. They keep raising the prices but I can't really blame them. At $30 for a haircut it's just above average in the city.

Ask for Ali. Best barber in town.

Very fast and all the hair dresser are very nice and funny ! Very good haircut for a good price !

Overpriced, cost 40$ for just a fade (I've had much better for half the price) and then to top it off they only accept cash... so a run to the bank and back was required.

Amazing guys, they welcomed my over grown hair and despite that the guy gave me a classic neat scissor cut... His technique proved his experience. Before this experience I was very picky and travelled to my old Baber in my home city (an hour away) . But now these guys have my business in Toronto

Good food

Excellent haircut and nice place, but expensive for what it is.

Awesome place! Very friendly and accommodating staff who have talent. Merci!

This was my first time getting a shave by straight razor and the experience was out of this world. The gentleman that attended to me was very professional and went out of his way to make sure I was comfortable. The price, I thought, was very much worth it. When I left the shop I was totally happy and had a smile on my face all day. Thank you Terminal Barber Shop, I will definitely be back!!!!!!

Best barbershop in Toronto for its price.

Haircut looked sharp!

Great place for a hair cut, recommend going Staurday morning

Took my grandson and got a beautiful haircut...

Great use of traditional method cuts, almost always consistent quality but sometimes a long wait. At $30 a cut now its become pretty expensive.

Caution to those who want something specific: Two out of the three occasions I visited Terminal Barber Shop (on Dundas), the barbers did not listen to what I wanted. They have a mind of their own when it comes to haircuts and beard shaping.

Worst experience ever. DONT TRUST IT for a hair cut, I've just came out with a none hair style. It's just a pity that the Asiatic guy who cut my hair there wasn't at all empathic. He took the decision to cut like his apparently. There is no price for getting back your hair or at least your style So disappointed by all the good comments.

Excellent. Very good barbers.

I’ve had dozens of haircuts at the Terminal Barbershop over the years. Always a great haircut, delivered quickly without unnecessary bells and whistles at a reasonable cost in a very cool old-school setting. I will remain a loyal customer!

Best straight razor shave in Toronto. 45 minutes of pure bliss for less than $50 including tip.

Great quality service, have been coming here for years. Barbers are always professional and meticulous in their craft. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

Wicked haircuts happening in there.

I have had my hair and beard cut here before. I have heard anot of great things but it ended up being nothing but disappointment. Sadly.

Little shop with amazing service and skilled people, was very pleased with my visit!

Excellent haircuts but it can get very busy.

(Translated) Not good (Original) Not gud

Very professional, best I've had.

i had a good cut, barber had to fade the sides to cover my bald head

Best barbers in downtown Toronto

Walk-ins only but quick. Good service and reasonable price

Great, traditional barbershop! Clean cuts, and great straight-razor shave. I never go anywhere else.

Walked in one person was busy at work and the other making a date on the phone, both ignored me for 5 minutes. ..I left

Not too happy with my haircut. I asked for a low fade and John made the largest guideline around my head resulting in a super high fade. Left a cut on my ear as well. Probably not his best day, as he looked tired giving me my haircut. This place felt like a hit or miss, as the other reviews are very good. Definitely not coming back as I have lost my trust in barbers again. Not happy, but not mad with the result as it is not upto my standard and paying $30 for a haircut.

Been going here for almost four years now and won't be trusting anyone else with my hair until and unless I have to leave the city and never come back. …

Been coming here for 3 years now and I've never left disappointed. Even when busy, they never rush your cut and do that little extra free which is often an extra cost at other barber shops in Toronto. They treat everyone great and always provide great service. I'm a lifer. A+++

This place was great. I can't wait to go back.

Great cuts, good prices, guys only so the hairdressers know what they are doing. Go earlier, after business day ends place can get crazy

Very friendly, great price and service !

Guys here have always given me a great haircut.

Classic barbershop with attentive and warm professionals. The prices are very reasonable, so I left a 25% tip to show my appreciation. Will definitely return.

The Barbers here are great. my wait was not very long and the haircut was very well done. he was a good conversationalist and I had a lot of fun. he listened to what I wanted. I highly recommend using them.

Great cut. Fast and a good price.

They have decent barbers with an old english style feel to the place. Recomnded atleast ones to form your own opinion.

Best traditional barber shop in Toronto.

Just had a hair cut today for the first time at terminal barber shop Amazing experience, the guy was friendly and experienced, ill definitely come back again

Friendly and professional hair cuts

Very good hair cuts

The young barber that cut my hair did an amazing job. He was also very approachable and gave great suggestions regarding my hairstyle. …

I just needed my undercut trimmed and was delighted with the results.

Excellent service. I have been coming here for years for their beard trims and wouldn't go anywhere else. Highly recommend!

Didn't actually listen to what I wanted and was very rude. I ended up with a buzz cut when I just wanted a trim.
