Amazing Barbershop! I love Straight 8, literally have never gone anywhere else since I first got cut here. I live in Kelowna and schedule my haircuts for when I come in to Kamloops, just to get in with these barbers. They are super consistent with all the fades, skin fades, and even have done master barbers in staff, great with kiddos too! Highly recommend!!

First experience was poor. Missed requested services, did not cut how i asked and a few other minor issues. I believe a communication issue and some clarification was needed but not asked for. When i returned to ask for a refund because i hated the cut so much the owner personally requested I give her an attempt to fix the issues she could. Obviously she couldn't bring back the several inches the other barber cut off but she did a good fix job with what she could. The hot shave that was requested but forgotten on the first trip was done on the second trip. By far one of the best hot shaves I have had. The shop felt a little "stuffed into" the location and has a bit of a "were not done moving in" feel to me. Biggest cons? Inexperienced barber on the first attempt. Store feels a little uninviting and basic. Pros? Owner is experienced and willing to stick up for their work. Competitively priced with other shops with similar services. Good hot shave.

I set up an online appointment and when I got there they told me they overbooked. They barber offered to cut my hair 2 1/2 hours later to which I refused. Poor customer service.

Friendly and decently priced. Nice clean shop but they weren't enforcing mask wearing when I was there. One client didn't have a mask and was not asked to put one on, bit of a concern. Stylist was about 40 minutes behind and I was a first appointment. Otherwise I'd have given 5 stars.

Folks, let me tell you - Fava was unquestionably the best hairstylist I've ever had the pleasure of crossing paths with. Exceptional conversation, and a profound talent for haircutting. Booked a time slot online fairly easily. The staff that were on shift were great. Yvonne gave my son a haircut ( his favorite cut to date ) and the shop owner gave him the hair tattoo that he has wanted. He left the shop completely over the moon! Thank you to straight 8 barbers on the north shore for listening to my sons wants and needs and for making him one happy little dude. 10/10 would recommend!

If you need a fade, you shouldn't go anywhere else, in Kamloops! I have been looking for a full service Barber, for years, and thank all that's good that I found Straight 8. First time visiting one of Favas location's, and wow! Her apprentice, Jesse, gave me a cut, and he's only been cutting for about two months; and it was fabulous. He's a super easy guy to talk to, too; and that's important to me when looking for a Barber. The service is absolutely impeccable, and the interactions felt effortless, as if I've known them for years; just like it should feel when sitting in the chair. The price packages are very fairly priced, and the services offered here go above and beyond what most people in my generation have come to expect at a Barber. Fava is a true barber, and straight 8 is a real barbershop. ????????

Not impressed with a local barbershop. I asked for a couple layers and for it to be trimmed to be longer in the back She had cut in a long layer, giving me bangs and regardless of knowing that I wear it up for work, clipped the back of my hair with clippers when she was doing my undercut, so now it's impossible to put it up without a mullet. The shop has two locations in town and Here's my complaint- now that I've showed up to get my refund, she's not working and not giving me a refund. Although she has my phone number and issued me a refund receipt. ????????‍♀️ So, if you want to look like a butchered Kpop star and cry in public, then be argued with go see Fava. The front used to go to my collarbone... Now I have floppy dog ears and a John and Kate plus 8 blowout ???? Terrible, she kept arguing with me that it was exactly what I wanted and rushed me out of the store so fast I didn't even have time to get my mask off the chair. She knew I was dropped off so I just walked away crying in public waiting for my lift with an atrocious haircut.

My experience at straight 8 was amazing! Nothing like any other barber or hair salon u could go to! The prices are great for what u get and The owner is awesome! She did an amazing job on my hair, she even gave me a massage! I dont know about anyone else but I'd go here next time your looking for a hair cut!! They have 2 locations! One on 12th on the north shore and one up in Sahali!

This is a great place to get haircuts. However, be careful who cuts your hair here, occasionally a worker just rushes things, and doesn't take the time to do a nice job. I don't mind sitting an extra couple minutes for a nice, good quality haircut. Other than that, it's a phenomenal place, I just wont be getting a hair cut from that worker again.

Go see Hamid at Straight 8, have seen him 3 times and everytime he does an amazing job. Great Fade,beard trim and line up. He makes sure you are completely happy with what you want done. No shortcuts and doesnt rush through. Straight 8 with Hamid is an experience .
