I've been going to Mast since it opened on 123 St, and I've continued to see them after they moved to 121 St. I'm pretty busy with a tight schedule, so their appointment-booking system makes it easy for me, and they are ALWAYS on time. Alex is my regular stylist and she's super passionate about hair - super cool when she tells me what she's doing and why specifically for my difficult, wiry hair. All other stylists I've seen have been great too; they leave notes for each other so I never have to struggle to describe what I want. It's clear they genuinely care about each of their clients... you book 30-45 min and you get that time dedicated to you and only you, and they are never trying to fit another client in during your booked time. It may be more expensive than your average chain barbershop, but it is a different approach to hair and super worth it. Highly recommended!

The clean and minimalist approach is refressing compared to other Barber Shops that are cluttered with product they are trying to sell. Mast carrying only their shampoo and hair paste makes it simple for the customer, which is very refreshing and easy. Not to mention they also have cold brew coffee, that is a win. This place is by far my favourite place and Alex is probably one of my favourite barbers I’ve had in a long time. You can tell you’re going to get a wicked cut just based off her personality (and hair style). Anytime I ask her, “let’s do something different this time”, she never disappoints and I leave completely satisfied (and much better looking). 10/10!

Alex is by far the best barber I've had cut my hair. Mast is different in the way that they offer free client clean ups between cuts. I love that option because my hair needs it within two weeks of being buzzed. The price is a little higher than most places, $40 for a cut but its worth it. The quality and care as well as the free clean ups make it worth the price. I recommend this to anyone. Mast rocks!!

I started going here about a year ago after I was recommend to Hayley Lepowick by a friend at work. She was very welcoming and quick to make me feel comfortable. She understood exactly the type of cut I wanted and, I've never left dissatisfied with that haircut. There is no awkward silence while sitting in her chair which makes it even easier to come back. Mast Hair has a nice vibe to it with some great in house products that smell great to go with it as well.
