Very friendly local barbershop full of talented barbers. It's been my go-to place since it opened. The more established barbers have a solid client base and popular times need to be booked well in advance, but they're Reserva-enabled so booking a few weeks in advance isn't too tricky. They recently added a walk-up option (cash-only!) if booking in advance doesn't work for you. Great ambience, timely and high quality service, very reasonable prices.

Not generally a stickler for how good my hair is, but this was notably not good. I don't know if they just don't have experience with long hair, but it definitely seems as if they don't. I went to get a significant amount cut off, and I had a reference photo to show him. I had my hair about to my shoulders, and I wanted it cut down so it was just past my face, which, the picture I brought showed that quite clearly. As the haircut started, my first warning sign was literally every other barber stopping what they were doing, and looked at the guy cutting it, one of them even asking "are you sure?" He had me facing away from the mirror for almost the whole time, which at the time I was too tired to care, but in retrospect I should've said something. So after half an hour, he turns me around, and my hair is to my ears. I was almost stunned to the point where I didn't even say anything about it. For reference, this was 3 months ago and my hair is only now at the length I wanted it. At least if it was short and cut well, it would be manageable, but it wasn't. Even now I still feel several strands of hair that were just missed and are awkwardly long, and I was always wearing a toque for at least a month. The two photos attached are what I payed $30 for, and what I showed as a reference. Maybe I just got unlucky, but I don't think I'd be going back anytime soon.

Was not happy with my haircut and experience at all. I had a 830 appointment, I didn't get in the chair till 845, I forgot to add a bread trim online, and when my hair cut was done, she refused to trim my beard. I had to wait for the guy doing walkins who has clearly never done a bread trim. It was the worst haircut ever I felt rushed in and out. I will never go back

I’ve been coming here for a couple years now and plan to stay as long as Kim is working here. I had struggled for years to find a stylist who could do exactly what I want and make me leave feeling really great about myself. She has that skill. She’s extremely professional and provides 5 star service. Book in advance as she always books up. Hunter and Gunn provides quality service without all the gimmicks. They don’t try and force you to buy any product and make you feel like you’re being taken advantage of. Kim is an amazing barber and I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a killer cut or new style.

The walking is $22 + $5 fro beard trim , they have a seperate guy who cuts walkins , and hes no barber , he is a hair dresser , went i went I was expecting someone with scissors skills but the over all experience was not worth it , even if I showed him the pictures I wanted the cut to be like , he just did it the way he knew and just wrapped it up . I donno about other stylist via aapt but dont go there expecting a great groom via walk in , you can cut at home better with your trimmers

Actually went to Hunter and Gun for my first time a few months ago and met Sam. She was very pleasant and I was impressed with her suggestions and cut. I had her text number and conversed regarding a 2nd appointment and set a time. When I arrived she was running a little behind. I was just getting ready to get in the chair and someone else went in. I approached her and she stated she didn't have me booked. I showed her the text and she said she didn't receive. She made No Attempt to reschedule nor did she appologize. I left extremely pissed. I contacted her one more time and she was booked and was asked to leave her my email and she would let me know when there was an opening. That was 3 weeks ago and still no response. Pretty Poor Customer Service. Maybe my tip wasn't enough but found out Hair FX keeps their appointments and they appreciate new clients and say Thank You for tips!! Sorry for sounding off but basic manners are something I thought were taught to everyone in a Service Based Industry

The real deal. Hunter and Gunn was essentially the first barber-shop to come along in decades of lost craftsmanship to cater to folks that just want to hang out for 30-mins and get a stylish cut (or longer if you're getting a shave too). The founders are chill and genuinely take an interest in you. Prices are reasonable at $26 bucks. Just try to book 2-3 weeks in advance. Walk-ins are possible just not guaranteed.

Went for a haircut and beard trim. The whole thing was very rushed and only took 25 minutes of the 45 minute appointment. The haircut turned out fine, but they cut my beard shorter when I had asked only for a trim and it wasn't even cut evenly. I had to fix it up when I got home.

Went to Kim and this girl has absolutely no idea what she's doing and no respect for the style that a client presents. She brutalized my hair and now i have to live this disaster for at least the next six months. First thing i did when i got home from this was order a wig on Amazon. This place is probably fine if you're a dude who wants it short but will ruin your life if you ask for anything beyond that. Wish i didn't even need to give them one star. i just want my old hair back.

I was a little disappointed to find out after my haircut that the barber did not know how to line up my hair with a straight blade. I assumed an establishment like this would hire barbers that have been certified to do different hair styles based on an interview or demonstration of their skills. I have a very simple look... Bald fade and simple line up. Nothing fancy nothing crazy either. There was no fading done and no line up. I only recieved a buzz cut which wasn't really the look I was going for. I paid 22 plus a tip totalling 25. No hard feelings as it is a nice establishment. I'm sure the other barbers are talented there I cannot speak for them but my trust in going back has been tainted a little. The location is hip and cool! Environment was good as well. My hair grows back so no harm no foul :) My recommendations: ask the barber if they know how to cut YOUR hair. Ask them if they know how to do certain looks prior to cutting. Never assume. :)

First time there , the barber didn’t tell me it was only cash, so after i got the haircut done i had to run to the atm which at the moment was not working. When I came back the guy told me i could pay with debit/credit, he says that the haircut is 20$+tax which according to me or to anyone 13% tax = 22.6 but he charged me 27.6. Idkn where that 5$ came from. Not going there anymore and not suggesting to anybody

Today I wanted to try a new barber shop, decided on Hunter & Gunn. I walked in and was greeted promptly, one of the staff members informed me it would be approximately a 30 minute wait. No problem. 30 minutes later the gent who was doing walk-ins was still on the same cut. The issue I have is the staff sitting around on their phones well customers are waiting. I understand that they most likely have appointments booked, and have established clientele, but think of the optics. It's frustrating as a customer to be sitting there waiting well there are people who are available to do the work. I ended up leaving after 45 minutes. My advice would be to take your break a little out of sight. Maybe the lounge just down the steps? Perhaps as a small business owner in a service industry my perspective on customer service is different from others, but I would never let that happen to my customers if I had someone available for them.

Get your apt for a haircut!!! They have a sign that they are accepting walk ins from 10am to 7pm ,I showed up at 7.10pm they said we stop taking walk ins at 7pm,okey not a big deal. I return next day at 6.25pm and the girl was we can’t take you today as well ,it’s “almost” 7pm and we are all busy so you can make an appointment online we are open until 9pm. So they are busy for walk ins but available for apts . Waste of time !

Worst haircut I've ever had. First off, the atmosphere of this place is not what I was expecting; it's kinda gross and unprofessional. There are signs posted around the shop saying you shouldn't leave valuables in your car due to a rash of break-ins. Secondly, my haircut was terrible, and not at all what I asked for. I asked her to "clean it up a bit, but maintain the style I had". She then cut over half of my hair off, and ruined the style I had. This was not a barber at all, just a woman with clippers who wanted to get customers in and out as quickly as possible. She banged the clippers into my head with every pass, and her razor job on my neckline left it red and painful for hours, which I've never experienced from a barber before.

There is no better place for a walk in men's haircut. You may need to wait a bit without an appointment but it's no problem, there's plenty of magazines to read, comfortable seats, and tons of interesting stuff on the walls to look at. Walk-ins are $22.00 cash only (as of winter 2019). I have only ever had great cuts, and great conversation. It's a very friendly shop with a positive atmosphere.

Nice vibe in the shop. However, the barber went really hard on my neckline with clippers and it felt like he cut me. I let him know and he said "well you're not bleeding" and KEPT DOING IT. It turned into the whole back of my neck into a razorburn/rash that lasted for a week and was super painful. This has never happened anywhere else and I've never even had a razor burn. I went to pay and he took an EXTRA $3 for a tip!!! I walked out in disbelief. Never going back. Do not recommend.

Apparently she had to major cuts that morning where she did big transformations like that, which I know can be super time consuming and stressful but she handled it like a boss. Only recommendation is you guys add a note section on the website so we can write when we’re having a time consuming cut like that so we don’t end up pushing all the appointments back if there happens to be multiple big cuts like that. Thanks!! Also the music was fire. I’m definitely a dedicated client now :)

Not generally a stickler for how good my hair is, but this was notably not good. I don't know if they just don't have experience with long hair, but it definitely seems as if they don't. I went to get a significant amount cut off, and I had a reference photo to show him. I had my hair about to my shoulders, and I wanted it cut down so it was just past my face, which, the picture I brought showed that quite clearly. As the haircut started, my first warning sign was literally every other barber stopping what they were doing, and looked at the guy cutting it, one of them even asking "are you sure?" He had me facing away from the mirror for almost the whole time, which at the time I was too tired to care, but in retrospect I should've said something. So after half an hour, he turns me around, and my hair is to my ears. I was almost stunned to the point where I didn't even say anything about it. For reference, this was 3 months ago and my hair is only now at the length I wanted it. At least if it was short and cut well, it would be manageable, but it wasn't. Even now I still feel several strands of hair that were just missed and are awkwardly long, and I was always wearing a toque for at least a month. The two photos attached are what I payed $30 for, and what I showed as a reference. Maybe I just got unlucky, but I don't think I'd be going back anytime soon.

I didn't get my hair done here "yet" but I took my bf as he was long over do for a do. The lady Cait was super nice and pretty as well, she sat him down and talked to him and asked what he wanted, he didn't know, I had asked her to work her magic and to "do her thing" and gice him a cut that is age approprite for him (40). She went to work and the result was amazing. He kept checking himself out after saying "I got to get this done more often. " And "I look so much younger now! ". I also can't seem to take my eyes off him. ;) These guys are amazing. I waited and read some cool magazines, and even though they had prebooked clients they still managedto squeeze in a few walk ins in a short amount of time.

I came here for the first time yesterday. The shop is comfortable and has a lot of cool stuff on the walls. Booking an appointment is super easy through their website. I had seen Tay for a beard trim and line up he did an amazing job transforming my beard from a mess to something cool and clean. The hot shave (straight razor) on my neck was awesome and super relaxing. I definitely recommend checking this shop out!

Been coming here for a long time now. Usually really like this place l, but they have gone downhill as of late. Having a sign up sheet for "walk-ins" kinda defeats the purpose of a walk in... not to mention when I do come for a walk in and try to sign my name up they tell me that they are filled with "online booking". My experience here wasn’t good, I Came here for a haircut expected great quality service as I had a photoshoot “Absolutely Pissed” . The gentleman that cut my hair was a bodybuilder and hairstylist says a lot…I guess . At the appointment he seemed to have rushed and not know what he was doing , didn’t bother even washing my hair … when I got home I saw the disaster, don’t think this guy went to barber school. He didn’t bother cleaning up areas and everything was cut in different lengths, my hair was horrible !!!!!! This was the first time ever in my life that I had to call and text a hairstylist to mention I was unhappy and my response was to come back 4 hours later and I might be charged extra for fixing it up! Literally in shock and I was so disgusted by Hunter & Gunn! Go somewhere else for a mens cut. So upset and disappointed as mentioned this was for a photoshoot!!! Worst worst worst experience in 30+ years!

I go about once a month, and always try to get Tay. All the hairdressers I've seen there have been phenomenal, very skilled, and they'll help you figure out what you need, even if you're not sure when you first go in. Tay is my favorite because he's always very welcoming and friendly, and consistently has something new and interesting to share, but is also very respectful about any boundaries you may have. Short cut and beard trim is my usual, but I've had other cuts done here and never been dissatisfied. Very calm, relaxing atmosphere, and the entire staff is friendly and open.

The shop is well decorated. If you don't have an appointment, it could literally take you an hour of wait before guetting a haircut without no one approching you. I've asked them couple times already to put their phone number on google but no action was taken. The girl has no sense of customer service as she talks with her finger and makes really strange looks. Nobody expect to be treated as a king, but a simple smile and welcome would be appreciated.

Atmosphere was nothing special, and the haircut was rushed. Pretty sure i can find more talkative staff in a mime academy. They seemed to just want to get as many haircuts done as possible and, at times, i felt like they were forced to be there. Definitely not the impression you want to give customers. Barely a barber shop, and definitely not a good one. The stylist didn't listen to requests and the haircut ended up being uneven. Extremely not worth the money.

Got my hair cut twice here and will not be going back. First haircut was with a stylist who had a superiority complex about her openly talking about her political ideas. Which were very narrow minded. Second hair cut had sliced a gauge which was extremely noticeable. I have thick straight hair. How can you make such a bad mistake? I really wanted Hunter & Gunn to work out. Also very off putting having your staff sit around on their phones chatting about partying in the middle of the studio.

At first glance you wouldn't guess this place is a barbershop but that's exactly what I love about it. A shop with artistic antiques around creates a fun and rustic environment. Now the service is great! Young staff that are very welcoming once you enter the door. Definitely not your ordinary salon. Kim cuts my hair and for myself I don't just trust anyone with my head.
