Great Cuts, Great People! The attention to detail, quality of service, atmosphere and staff are second to none. If I were to go solely for the quality of the cut, it would be an incredible experience, but above the great cut, the staff are great people. As you walk in, you're welcomed at the bar and offered a coffee, cold beverage or alcoholic beverage. If you don't choose to drink, not to worry, as you can sit back and watch the TV or strike up a conversation with owners or staff. I tend to go a bit before my appointment so I can try one of their craft beer offerings. Sometimes, they offer beers you can't easily get at the Beer Store or LCBO. If you have a friend, companion or relative who would enjoy a cut or cut and shaved package, they offer gift certificates. Even before heading in, you can make an appointment online via their website, or by calling. I recommend making an appointment to ensure you get the time you desire. Walk-ins fill up rapidly.

Just simply the best. Finally went here after being constantly pushed by my good friend to go somewhere other than random mall walk-ins for haircuts. Andrew gave me probably the best cut I can remember having. He was a really nice guy. Hot towel/razor shave to finish was great. There’s a cool bar in the front w all ur fav local beers. Elliot is rad. Really this place is just a continuation of everything you probably already love about Hamilton.

Awesome barber shop. All the staff are very friendly and professional. I had a beer a hair cut and a beard trim. I had been growing my beard from 18 months and it had never been trimmed. I was very nervous but Kevin did exactly what I asked and it turned out amazing. The hair cut was perfect as well. Really nice guy. Dude is a wizard with hair. Couldn't be happier. I used to go to crows nest but Hendry’s is the only place I’ll go now. You can get a cheap beer good conversation and a nice cut for $35 (not including tip). My girl Monica is the one of the best. They also raised money to restore the sign out front, bringing Hamilton back to its former glory. Also check out the Playhouse around the corner. This is another big win for Hamilton .

Never feel rushed for a haircut, they take their time. to cut your hair. I’ve gotten my hair cut by a few barbers here and they are all consistent. Not one haircut has been bad. I’ve always had a great haircut from the shop. Prices are a bit on the more expensive side, but you get excellent service in return! This place strives on providing an excellent customer experience! I never feel out of place coming to Hendry’s or Architect. I’ve been to some barbershops in Hamilton area where they don’t take the time to get to know their customers. This isn’t one of them! Each barber takes the time to get to know you. Keep up the consistency and excellent work!

Had a great first experience at Hendry's getting a hair cut and beard trim by Kyle. Great attention to detail, great conversation, great service with the coffee and the beer afterwards (reward for sitting still). This is exactly what I was looking for after leaving my barber shop in Toronto and moving to Steel Town. The space being in an old heritage building with the original signage restored just completed the authentic experience in my opinion. Look forward to being back there soon.

Was just there today with my son and this was our second visit. Pretty cool and pleasant atmosphere and the guy at the bar was friendly. I was a bit disappointed to see that only the guys get offered or asked if they would like a drink while ladies are somewhat “ignored”. This has happened both times so I’m now assuming the bar is just for guys. There was another lady that also came in for an haircut and she was also not offered a drink. While all the guys that came after me were asked if they would like a drink or even just some water! Monica was great and she is the reason why I bring my son here. She is friendly and my son just loves chatting with her. She is amazing at what she does as well.

Welcomed addition to the Barton St renaissance. A nice welcoming feel right when you walk into the shop. Always a great cut and fade from Dre 100% of the time. He’s real friendly and professional to deal with and always has his appointments lined up in a timely manner. The barbershop itself has a real cool vibe right from the front door; there’s two barber seats in the front window, and Frank slinging $3.50 local tallboys (with a cut) behind the bar. Keep up the great work guys.

Really satisfied with my haircut by Dre. I'm low-maintenance with my hair and have had other barbers try to convince me to style my hair in ways I'm just not going to. Dre got that and gave me the cut I won't need to style every day and recommended a product I might actually use if I go out for an evening. Other staff were friendly and attentive. The price is very fair for the service provided, plus they offer coffee and beer. I'll be going back.

Great place and highly recommend for a different day at the barber. Was given a birthday gift for a beer and a haircut and thoroughly enjoyed the experience this past Saturday. Staff was super friendly and Kyle who cut my hair was great. And they reminded me I didn't actually have to wait until 11am for my appt in order to have a beer.... they can legally server starting at 9am now in Ontario.

Well, today was my first haircut in a long time. I decided to check out Hendry’s since it’s close to home. I felt welcome as soon as I walked in the door. Hendry’s has a pleasant, relaxing atmosphere with a vintage vibe. The decor is fascinating to say the least. Today I had the great pleasure of being Jackie’s client. I struggled to explain what I wanted, but Jackie figured it out. She knew what I wanted even before I did! It’s the best haircut I’ve had in a very long time. Hendry’s will be my go-to for the foreseeable future.
