Good service, very friendly staff, decent prices. It’s really hard writing this bad review because staff was very friendly but I had the misfortune of getting assigned a trainee. He was a good guy but needs a lot of practice before he should be cutting hair by himself. My hair was cut very poorly and will take a long time till it recovers. EDIT: I was contacted by CADMEN and offered a complimentary haircut. Francis did a great job with a wonderful attitude. I already booked my next visit and am a fan of their service

I went in with a rough idea of what I wanted, and Clint talked through with me and figured out what would be best. Barbers here seemed knowledgeable, and the attention to detail was really great. Well placed hair studio in Clarkson Village. Did a simple google search for a barber and came across CADMEN. I prefer to call to make a booking, but they have a really easy way to book online as well. The actual salon is clean with a minimalist design throughout. I know that you can choose your hair stylist online, but I didn't mind getting whomever they had available. Ended up getting a haircut from Matt who was really friendly and could keep up a conversation. My haircut was exactly as I asked for and I was really pleased with how it turned out. Overall, I was really happy with the whole experience and will definitely be coming back.

I originally came across Cadmen in it's former form known as GQ. I was blown away, this place is pure modern elegance and class. I have not once had a bad experience. It is a completely original and creative atmosphere. From the brand, to the architecture and the interior layout. Cadmen even utilizes it's own hair products such as CZAR which to this day is the best hair product I have ever used. If you want top of the line service and to never be disappointed then you have to check out Cadmen. I personally drive 2 hours as often as i can to experience the raw talent that is Cadmen. Cadmen is where artistry becomes a reality.

I came to CADMEN's at the advice of my girlfriend, being in my 30s and never having anyone but myself trim my beard I was quite nervous. I mentioned this to Francis and the gentleman getting a trim in the chair beside me, a bit older than myself piped up and told me he used to be the same, but loves coming here and only here. I see Francis every 4-6 weeks and he takes great care with my beard and always listens to what I want. I've only left once unsatisfied with the cut but it wasn't the fault of my barber, it was my fault! I asked for something I didn't end up liking it. I told Francis the next time I was in that I didn't really like the shape I left with the time before and he agreed it didn't fit well on my face. He then spent what felt like an eternity ( in a positive manner) getting my beard back to the shape I preferred, pulling out a mirror several times to show me from different angles. Amazing! The shop has an amazing atmosphere and everyone is made to feel welcome. I always make sure to arrive early for my appointment so I can hang out with Chugs the shops dog. Is it really a barber shop without a dog?!

Booking with this place sucks. First booking was 30 mins late; whatever, the cut was good and I wasn’t in a rush. At the end of that appointment, I scheduled my next one for two weeks later, and when I called the day of to confirm as I never received a text notification (which I was told I would get), they didn’t have my booking. Very inconvenient as I scheduled that specific time because I wanted to get a cut before a work function. During my first appointment, I recall something similar happened to another guy who showed up and they didn’t have his booking on file. Do yourself a favour, go elsewhere and save yourself the hassle. There are plenty of good barbers in Mississauga and Toronto.

I had just moved to the area and I was looking for a barber that can grow with me. The first time I walked into Cadmen, I saw a man by the name of Q and he was starting off as an apprentice. Normally, when someone does your hair for the first time you get extremely nervous especially if they are new to being a barber, but I gave the man a chance. Q did my hair nice, it was lined up and he gave me a high top with a fade. His first time doing my hair and it was perfect. So I stuck with him, and I wanted to see him progress and become a professional. If you are ever looking for someone who is not only dedicated to the craft, but also invests hours of his time going to conventions and studying techniques than I would suggest Q. Highly respectable, amazing conversationalist, and will treat you with the utmost care.

Moved back to Mississauga after living downtown Toronto for a few years; got really spoiled with the top notch places there. CADMEN had some great reviews on Google maps though, and good prices, so I was curious to see how it compared. Got an appointment within a couple hours of booking it over the phone; didn't see to be a way to book online though. [update: booking online is available and easy these days] They did only have a spot available with a junior stylist mind you, but at a reduced price, so I took a chance. Good location with enough parking available. Place didn't seem that big, nor that busy when I went, but everyone there was still nice. They offered me a drink when I arrived, which seems to be common trait of modern barbershops. Everyone seemed to be roughly in their 20s or so; music matched, which played from a TV overhead. My hair didn't need it at all, but I wasn't given a wash at the beginning or the end of the cut; normally a barber might give my hair a wash at the end if they didn't feel I needed it at the start. Would of liked to of had one at the end, as it limits the amount of loose hair. Some high end barbershops now also offer hand massages and hot face towel service when you are getting your hair washed, which does add a bit of charm and relaxation to the experience. You get what you pay for I guess though, so I can't complain. Anyways, the hair stylist took their time, was friendly, and made me feel comfortable as they worked. They even spent a bit of time edging and fading in my beard, which was a nice bonus. I let them cut my hair how they wanted, however they thought it would look good, and they styled my hair in a way that is modern and clean, with perhaps a tad bit of edge. Recalling that my stylist was junior, there were a couple spots with the added fade that came out a bit weak, but nothing a couple snips with a feathering scissor couldn't fix. I've had senior stylists struggle in the same place before with my hair, so I'm used to it. Overall though, it was far better than what I could ever get at a First Choice or other chain. Considering the price of the junior, aka student?, stylist, and the resulting quality, I'm quite happy. I'll definitely go back again, but perhaps I'll choose a senior stylist next time. They clearly take a lot of pride, and for a local joint in this area, it's really quite impressive how well they compare to the downtown offerings. Good job! [update] Went back a few months later for a second hair cut [many times since] I was able to book online this time around-- nice. The hair cut I got was even better than the last, close to perfect. The experience hadn't changed much; still friendly, welcoming, although busier than the last time I went. I was provided a $5 coupon to the local pub afterwards. I've noticed that the stylists/barbers(?) help each other out: mentoring the juniors and providing positive feedback to each other. I don't see such cooperation that often at other places. CADMEN remains a strong 5-stars considering the affordable price, location, and quality of cut.

I wanted to get an awareness ribbon shaven in and I got nothing of the sort. luckily i went back and the barber took care of it and made up for it. Just be clear of what you want. Update: I went today to have a second shot at the awareness ribbon for the 1 year of my sisters passing. A different person helped me this time. Though not. As bad as the first time it wasnt at all what i asked for. The person didn't even know what those ribbons looked like till after she cut it. It looked like an abstract collection of random and unproportioned shapes. I've given this establishment the benefit of the doubt. Getting a spider web and a beehive design as well. Each one weirdly proportioned with many people i come across pointing out the errors and such. The workers there are nice but if you are looking to get anything as a design done id strongly advice you go else where.

I had two haircuts there so far. The service is outstanding. You can get an old school barber service that is up to date. The shop is modern and very clean. The employees are super friendly and know their trade. My stylist is Paolo. He is a very good stylist, pays attention to his work very detail oriented makes one hell of a haircut. I paid $35.00 for a cut with a wash plus a well deserved tip. Normally they require an appointment, but I just walked in Friday mornings and was able to get a chair without waiting. I most defenetly recommend CADMEN's services.

We live around the corner and I was looking for a place better than FirstChoice for my son (who is now 16!) to go to where he can feel like he is going to get a mature/trendy haircut. I sent my son in for the first time today and he was very happy with the cut he got (and he is very picky about his hair!) They took him right away so he didn't have to wait very long at all. Hands off to Taylor B, a really expert person who knows not only what she do but what is the best for you. Came without an idea just show her a picture then she put her own idea at the table the walah! and a great conversation too! very accommodating and tbe I got there earlier than my schedule but she did not let me wait which for me is a great part of being a professional person. This place is superb. CLINT is very professional and knows the craft. He knows what he is doing and is a master when it comes to fade hairstyle. Few things to know about this place before you decide to go here- 1. They take appointments so call beforehand. 2. There is a very cute and friendly dog in premises that will make your day. But if you have dog allergy notify them beforehand. 3. They are a bunch of cool people who not only give you a great style but also deliver hospitality. Tea, coffee and what not. I was booked for an hour but clint gave me more than that to assure what looks good on. The parking space is ample. If you book an appointment there is usually no waiting time. Do try them once and you will never go anywhere else. Thank you.

Just very disappointed with the cut. I had to smile through it all, because it was at the point of no return; too much hair was already cut off (it'll grow back I guess). I just wanted him to finish the cut so I can leave. It was the second time in my life where I wanted to cry cuz of a haircut. I've never walked in to a barbershop and said "this is the only place i want to get a haircut at". For me, there was never any one place that sold me entirely... until i hit up GQ/Cadmen. These guys love what they do and they not only have fun doing it but they do it really well. I've since recommended to two of my boys and they were instantly hooked. No one here will dissappoint, my boys go for Rocky and Allen, I've had my hair cut by Clint and Taylor, (who btw is not a receptionist she can really cut some hair seriously). After calling out the amateur work in regards to the price point paid online, CADMEN management directly reached out to me and expressed their apologies. They immediately scheduled me in for a cut with one of their Expert Barbers, at my convenience. This experience not only gave me the proper cut and beardwork I needed at the price I had paid, but it showed that CADMEN values their customers experience and feedback. Switched over a few haircuts ago since my prior barber stopped taking appointments. My barber of choice is the "Senior Barber", Allen. He's always on time, offers very concise and personalized consultation of what can be done with my current canvas based on the properties (length, thickness, lifestyle, etc.) prior to the haircut. His fades look fresh for longer than any fade I've gotten before. He also advises on how to maximize the utility of the current hair products I own if I bring him small samples. DISCLAIMER: nothing to ding the rating for but when booking the appt. through the mobile app, do not book it while your phone is in a different time zone as the app cannot accommodate that (web browser based bookings work just fine in different time zones).

Excellent barber shop, great vibe and everyone is so friendly. I bring my son here and they always do an excellent job on both our hair. Rocky is a master at his craft, literally a cut above. Highly recommend this barbershop. My only gripe is probably the price being a bit high but it's worth it by all means. That and the distance, so I'm only available to swing by on weekends and there has been times where I could not get a weekend appointment, but that's not their fault it just goes to show that it's a great place and it gets booked quick. Make sure to plan appointments early in advance! I highly recommend Rocky, the man is a brilliant barber.

Lots of knowledge, and realistic when it comes to talking life advice. Typically I wouldn’t really talk while a getting a cut, but Q brings out the talker in me, haha. If barbershops were like NBA teams, Cadmen would be the Lakers. It’s the place to be.

Brought my amazing boyfriend Jeremy here after seeing a 4.9 star review and being curious whether it was true or not - thankfully it was very true! Absolutely love the modern studio-esq. vibe in the shop, which is perfectly paired with the barbers pole and simple door giving it that added classic touch. With the reviews and the interior taken into account, I immediately thought, “okay this is one of those places where they’re going to quote me $50 and end up charging me like $200”, but I was very surprised to be quoted $28-34 and end up paying $31 (+tax) plus my decided 15% tip bringing me to $37. Clint cut down the length of his hair without it being even close to choppy, faded it beautifully, and made sure everything was picture perfect. I watched the entire time and the precision put into the entire cut, the genuineness of Clint’s personality, and the additional style and advice impressed me so much. Clint gave Jeremy a business card with his usual set hours, along with his phone number if Jeremy ever really needed a haircut and wanted to set something up. Clint as well took down Jer’s name and cellphone number himself for future service! He seems like he’s genuinely trying to build up a client base and that’s really admirable. Amazing job Clint and CADMEN overall! My boyfriend now swears by this place. Thanks for making my ray of sunshine happy!

I've been getting my haircuts here for a little while and I must say I'm always happy and more then satisfied with the haircut provided by the one and only wonderful Thao Huyhn. I used to get my haircuts at another barbershop downtown and as my previous barber had left for vacation, I decided to reach out to Thao and get a cut. Ever since then I've never went back to my old barber! Thao is special, her customer service and interpersonal skills are unmatched - always taking care of her customers/clients. I’ve recently discovered Cadmen barbershop and as someone that has been living in the area for a while now, I’m happy that I have a go-to place. Going into my first haircut with Jacob, I had long hair and I wasn’t exactly sure what to do with it—I did know that I wanted a hairstyle that was low maintenance. Jacob very thoroughly went through options with me, suggesting styles that would both suit my face and work well with the way my hair grows. We ended up choosing a buzz with a low fade, and he patiently cut my hair at various lengths so that we would arrive to a shortness I would be happy with. It’s clear that Jacob takes pride in his attention to detail and customer experience, to the point where once my haircut was finished (I was definitely happy with it) he sat me back down to improve something I didn’t/couldn’t notice. He then turned the halo lights back on to give a second pass to make sure it was a standard he was happy with, even though I was very excited with the haircut before he sat me back down. If anyone plans to go to Cadmen I would definitely recommend Jacob, since he provides much more than just a cut and makes sure you get your money’s worth.

My man Clint is a miracle worker. I’ve been to 3-4 barbers in the past and none of them have been as good as this guy - will be coming again in the future. The reviews are true, he's that good! Shortly after my arrival I was greeted by Rocky - my barber (perhaps I should say artist) who invited me to sit down in the chair. Alright so a very short right to the point review this barber shop is supposed to be open till 8pm and I walked in only to be greeted by a barber who said yeah we are closing early even though I just needed a quick haircut the barber said I have somewhere to go and it's 6:37pm as I'm doing this review the door is still open to the shop and the lights are still on I think that the way that the barber just handled the situation is extremely lazy and I will be going back to Vincent's barbershop in the future

I’ve been to Cadmen 3 times now and they always treat me with professionalism, are attentive and take care of me. I’ve had cuts from 3 different barbers and each time was a great experience. True they aren’t cheap but I’ve seen higher. So all in all highly recommend if you’re looking to keep your cut fresh and on trend. Francis’ dog is also amazing if you like dogs - and even if you don’t you’ll probably love him too lol. The only thing I would add is that their booking system is an online one and for some people like me, this takes extra effort on my part but overall I understand why it’s a good business decision on their part. :D

He took a tremendous amount of time and put in a great amount of effort to make sure my boyfriend was happy. He asked questions, explained what he was doing, gave advice, and all-around showed appreciation for our time and money, which obviously could have been taken elsewhere. That's what made our experience so great, this is definitely how customers should be treated. My boyfriend looks the best he has ever for sure, and because we were treated so kindly and Clint was so professional, we will definitely be returning for maintenance work! Thanks, Clint! I don’t see myself getting a haircut anywhere else, ever again. Clint took his time and performed a consultation prior to starting to help me better understand; not only how we was going to approach the cut, but his recommendations (based on my hair) to help me style & upkeep my new haircut - outside of the chair. Definitely not recommend to anyone. The response by the owner is such a big lie. I cancelled twice and once I did I called in advance to let them know. I booked him the first time and he said that he nor anyone is free to accommodate right now. Ask your workers first before responding back please. Being a professional I was wailing to pay penalty as you state 10 dollars on website and I always booked quaisson. So please consult with your team about this. Very disappointed.

Taylor is amazing. I have crazy allergies - it's been affecting my scalp recently and it's been really sensitive. Taylor has been so amazing about it and understanding. What a professional! She is amazing company, a great person and a wicked hairstylist. One thing is for sure is that my hair is cut great too! Clint is also a great hairstylist himself. After having to look for a new barber I was hesitant to look for a new one since there a barber shops on almost every corner and trying to find the right one and the right barber was going to be an ordeal. Luckily for me after doing some surfing I came across Cadmen's. I booked an appointment with Thao and it worked out great. I walked in and everyone there is friendly which is nice to see now a days. I had a beard outline and trim and was done just right. Thanks Thao!! Will recommend this place to anyone.
