If you’re a dad and want to bring your kids to a place where they will get awesome hair cuts, go here. I have long hair (being a musician) and Ali gave me a killer hair cut that is rock and roll, but still makes me approachable for when I am working in other areas (I also work for some pretty great organizations for people that have special needs, so I can’t be over the top all of the time lol). He hit the nail on the head and I couldn’t be happier. Highly recommend.

Horrible service...DANIELLE was Very rude to begin with!! She suggested shaggy haircut for my son, who had long hair to his shoulders. After the haircut his hair was sticking out so I told her and the girl at the front that we are not satisfied with the cut. They suggested that once the hair fall into place it will be good. The girl at the front said we can come the next day if unsatisfied. I went the next day and asked to trim from the back to short because it was really heavy and looked really weird. Danielle wanted to charge another haircut fee in order to do that. The front girl completely denied what she said yesterday. Don't know if they were rude if it was the racial thing for them to be mean!!! But Danielle sure is going through stuff in life to have that attitude!!! No wonder the ratings on Google are super low. I regret not checking that before.. RUINED my son's long hair.. Poor kid has to go to school on Monday!!

Went in for a haircut with Pauline, simple shorten and clean up but did not listen to what I asked and completely shaved my head down to the bone. Scraped my neck so bad with the clippers it is bleeding. Managers did not care and still had to pay full price… my head now looks like a dirty Q-tip, and have to go somewhere else to get it fixed. Wouldn’t go back, if I could rate lower than 1 star I would.

No wonder the ratings in this place are awful. I should have checked before going inside. I went to treat myself to a shave and I told the barber I wanted a full shave, including head. He was going to shave my whole head with some garbage, battery powered shaver that a 15 year old would use for their teen beard. This place is a joke They had the audacity to charge me $13 for a 2 minute shave of my beard because he messed up. Place is just brutal and ridiculously expensive

This place isn't awesome. I asked for nothing off the top and the barber nearly gave me a buzz cut. I really like the barber, he was really cool. I asked for legit nothing off the top, and left with a buzz cut. AND I PAID 33 DOLLARS?!?! Hair isn't just something you play with and cut at free will. I know it grows back and isn't permanent but this haircut is hair isn't it bro. If possible can I have my money back please.

Great place, great barbers. I've been going to see Adrian for years even before he was at this shop. Always get a great cutt and experience, and more importantly- it's the only barbershop that I will still get a cut on a day he is not there. All the staff are great and I often look at other people getting their haircut beside me and overall staff does a great job. Actually heading over there today for a cut. Recommended a few friends here as well and they've since been happy customers.

Ive been going here for over year. Today I came at 320pm and was told I would get my hair cut by 3:50. At 4 :35 ( 75 minutes!) I left without a haircut. Other people I know I was ahead of got haircuts before me. Adrian and his staff are either incompetent or jerks, take your pick. I will never go here again after this.

It pains me to say I cannot disagree with some of the previous sentiments about a "cold" attitude at the front(sometimes). However, we are reviewing first and foremost a BARBER shop, not a call center For that reason, I feel this place deserves to be cut some slack. When they are firing on all cylinders you can get a great cut and decent service. I will say due to staffing issues, some stylists are better than others, but Adrian is second to none on his skills and friendly service.

I went to a couple of places before and couple after and it's the one I decided to go with as I appreciate a good quality and service. Teresa is always a treat to meet at the front, Polin always does a great job cutting my hair and giving me advice. Adrian keeps the shop clean and bright, which is important to me. Danielle is always smiling and always talking about something to keep the energy level up. I've recommended Barbers lounge to a couple of friend/work contacts and they have had all good experiences.

Had to wait outside for 15 mins even after booking an appointment. paying $33 for a beard trim seems tough considering the stylist was done in about 5 mins. Had to ask for a straight blade shave for it to look cleaner. Dont feel like going there again

Taking dictation from my irate boyfriend (who sideburns, to be fair, ARE two significantly different legnths.) The woman who cut his hair there barked orders at him and handled him roughly while in a text fight with someone on her phone. He says he feels abused. AND has to now pay someone else to fix his hair. I think the only reason he paid her was fear.

Went a few times and only got a decent cut maybe twice from an Asian dude and some Russian girl the the former no longer works there for obvious reasons. The place looks nice and professional but most of the barber have no idea what they're doing and the customer service is complete trash. They need to hire a friendly and professional receptionist and better barbers overall.

My mistake was to give this place a third (and now final) chance... The “stylist” who cut my hair today, and who’s cut my hair before, clearly does not listen to instructions and I paid the price for my insolence yet again. I had (had being the operative word) fairly long hair (4 to 5 inches on top) and I was looking for just a trim and to clean up the back.. blend it a bit better. Explained that I prefer my hair longer.. I guess I didn’t really know that their definition of “trim” is to hack off more than half of my hair and do a cut that the stylist thinks is “better”... but hey, who cares right? I have scissors right by my throat. Stylist was cutting and silent, no clue what she was thinking and no explanation to her reasoning... If you told me at the get go that was I was asking for needed to be tempered, then fine.. don’t go in and start hacking away because you think it looks good... ???? Advice for this place, not that it matters now since I won’t be coming back here ever again... LISTEN TO WHAT YOUR CUSTOMERS WANT AND EXPLAIN WHAT YOU ARE DOING!!!

Receptionists working yesterday were unfriendly and seemed annoyed that I was interrupting their conversation to ask if I could get a walk-in haircut. When I came back at the scheduled time, 4:15, neither of them acknowledged me despite me standing by the doors about 5 minutes. I get that barbers run behind schedule, but decent customer service would've been a quick "hey, your barber is just running a bit behind schedule and will be right with you," rather than just staring me down and continuing to casually converse with each other while I blatantly stood right in front of them. Additionally, one of the receptionists had their mask completely off, hanging off one ear. Decided to turn around and walk away. I don't support businesses with staff that think the mask mandate doesn't apply to them. Unfortunate because I used to come here for years & Adrian is an excellent barber. However, if that's how his staff is on his days off, I won't be back.

That means *every* haircut I've gotten for 4 years I've gotten here. All of the barbers are amazing - especially Jodi. Haircuts vary here. not so much hit and miss more like hit and homerun. Get the right person and they take their time and you get an exceptional haircut. Get someone else and you get a quick haircut that looks good. Straight razor shaves are good as long as they don't kinck you. Once they knick you once or twice they finish it with a shaver and you get charged full price for the shave.

I made an appointment for my grandson and waited as long as I possibly could. My advice is maybe to call ahead to see if they are running on schedule.

Stopped in after my shift as I wasn't able to make it to my regular barber to get my haircut, there was a lengthy wait and I was eventually directed to an older women's chair, as I sat down she proceeded to ask how I prefer my hair cut (pretty straight forward cut overall) as she aggressively dug the clippers into the side of my head shaving way closer than specified I immediately knew It was game over for the old mop. She asked who cut my hair stating that it was "terrible" and I had a "bad haircut" now while I'm no Brad Pitt I like my hair. My usual barber shop is one of the best if not THE best in the city so it was incredibly unprofessional and insulting to hear some half rate stylist spewing garbage like she did. Furthermore the finished product looked so bad that I shaved the rest of my head, something I haven't done in years and what's more is I needed my haircut for a series of interviews I have this upcoming week and I'm going in looking like a joke. Lastly, the reason I didn't speak up during this nightmare was because I work in close proximity and there were children in the shop, if this were under different circumstances the stylist (not a barber) in question would most likely rethink her career as she is clearly more suited to trimming hedges not hair. I'm sure the rest of the staff are great, unfortunately I most definitely will not be back, ever. I would genuinely advise anyone looking to get their haircut here to avoid the older woman stylist like the plague.

Had to give a 3, Abdul deserves a 5 but Danielle should be let go. Came in for trims/cuts fory sons last night. Abdul treated my oldest son with respect and kindness and did an amazing job. Danielle however, was told a tiny trim. Tiny to her means almost two inches. She was so rough with my 10yr old that he got out of the chair crying, she spent a total of 4 minutes hacking his hair off and the unevenness of the shave on the sides and the hacking on the top is brutal. Abdul was kind enough to fix my son's bangs but Danielle didn't even apologize for the marks she left all over my son while he stood there weeping. I was forced to pay for the service because a manager wasn't available. Do not let her touch you or your children's hair.

This is not the right place to cut curly hair. Instructed hairdresser to not cut from the too, just match sides. Hairstylist seemed annoyed I ask for some suggestions. They wet and pull my hair before cutting, curly hair changes drastically in length when this is done, it's better to cut dry. Was left with hair length that was way shorter than the agreement. Now I have to wait a few more months to try and get the styling I want. Won't be coming back to this place tho.

Absolutely phenomenal customer service and fantastic stylists that make getting your hair cut seem like less of a chore and more of an experience! The homely style and warm atmosphere of this place is just as welcoming as the staff. Jodi, the hair dresser I had yesterday and for my previous hair cut, did not displease when it came to making my hair cut a laugh-filled and carefree experience for the second time in a row. Both times I have left after getting my hair cut by her, I’ve left looking and feeling like a million bucks and you better believe whenever I need a haircut from now on I’ll be booking with Jodi! The entire staffs lively and charismatic attidude in the shop really makes you feel more at ease and comfortable throughout the whole hair cut. 10/10 it is the ONLY hair dresser that I would recommend to anyone!

2 years ago I decided Adrian is the only Barber I’ll trust with my hair and never looked back on it! Great spot in the mall and amazing reception staff. They rolled out a new online reservation system back in January and it’s made booking super easy (especially with Covid and the never ending screening process). The new system also sends you a notification or a text message days in advance so you can plan in advance without forgetting.

Would not recommend this place. Very rude staff and no attention to detail. Very rushed service as if they have somewhere to get to lol. One guy I think name was Ali was so upset when I came back to get my poorly cut back fixed. He was like “why didn’t you tell me on the spot.” well I usually would but before I could even look closer in the mirror he was at the cash register waving me through. Extremely unprofessional. It’s also overpriced for fairly inexperienced barbers. I mean the place itself is clean and renovated but the barbers themselves are below average. I would recommend finding any other setting.

I walked into the the Barber`s Lounge for a quick haircut at the Mapleview mall, many years ago and had the pleasure of being seated at Ali Mourads chair. His cut was excellent and his rapport was genuine. I`ve been getting my cuts exclusively at the Barber Lounge since then. The level of service that the Lounge provides is superior, their services and products are excellent. I highly recommend that you use the Barber`s Lounge, and if you`re at the Mapleview Mall stop in and get a great haircut and don`t forget to ask for Ali.
