a friend recommended this place with high reviews and my boyfriend went to get a trim, just a fix up cut, he asked for not much to be taken off the front especially, and even showed a reference photo and they chopped so much off (about 2 and a half inches more) he’s probably going to wear a hat till it grows out a bunch, ridiculously uneven on both sides and in front, he was so disappointed, i do not recommend this place even for a cheap cut please do not go here

A superb barbershop, with an old fashion vibe whilst being young and trendy. Tucked away in a nondescript strip mall, it is filled with knowledgeable barbers. I went last year on a visit and was impressed then, I was once again very impressed this time around. Walk-ins only, very reasonably priced, they also do great beard trims. I highly recommend it.

This is the second time I have walked out of this barber shop in tears. Both barbers that have cut my hair didn't listen to what I wanted. Cherry on top was as I walked away I heard the barber I was with say "I don't do women's hair" then why cut mine?

My son and I had a very bad experience at Sweeney's. It is first come, first serve (as is many other places) but no one keeps track, so if you don't have very sharp elbows, people will repeatedly jump in line. We ended up leaving frustrated. I will not be recommending this place. Instead we will go back to Tommy Guns, where they know how to treat their customers!

The COVID-19 precautions are terrible here! The door had a sign saying everyone must wear masks but only one staff member was wearing a mask in the building. The haircuts here are a hit and miss, some of the barbers are good, and others are absolutely horrible. After the poor safety and a really messed up haircut this week, I'm never coming back.

He really listened to me when I explained my sons sensory concerns and worked hard to make sure he was comfortable and understood what was going on the whole time as well as checked in with me constantly. Switched here about 6 months ago and it's been great. Been going to see Eric since my first visit and haven't had an issue. He knows what he's doing and it shows. Everyone there has been friendly and the environment gives you that old school feel. If you're looking for a men's cut from guys that know what there doing then check this place out.

"Quality meets accessibility" This place is simply great, from the staff to the shop itself, everything is awesome. Experienced barbers with lots of different personalities and characters. Prices vary but ultimately are pretty good. Expect to wait 5-20 minutes depending on when you show up but it's well worth it!

I have been going to Sweeney's for about three years now and this is by far my favorite Barber shop in Chilliwack. The barbers are friendly and always open to conversation, and the prices are great considering the consistently high quality of the cuts! I think in my three years of going here I've only ever had one or two dissapointing cuts which is much more than I can say for some of other barber shops in CHWK. My only recommendation for the place would be to implement a numbered ticketing system for the waiting area, that way it'll be easier for patrons to keep track of who's next while waiting for a barber. I've had many awkward/confused conversations while waiting with 6+ people unsure of who the next person is. I am always recommending this place to my friends and I was so excited to hear that they are expanding in Fort Langley this year!

When your in Sardis, a suburb of Chilliwack, this is the place for a trim. Strip mall on south end of Vedder road. These pros have been around for so long, they even cut Napoleon's locks. Professional and quick. Which can cause a lineup, but 6 to10 barbers make short work of any wait time. After a great cut, you'll walk away wondering why you left it so long. Why do customers keep coming back?? Main reason.... Satisfaction.

i came in earlier this morning to get a trim. it would have taken no time at all. but this insane man who identified himself as "the shop owner" threatened my life and my mothers life, because he thought we were "bullying" his daughter. the store denied my haircut. after that in clear memory he said to me "If youre even walking on the same road as my daughter, if youre anywhere near her. if you even look at her, i will f***ing kill you." i advise people who are looking to get a haircut please go somewhere else. this insane shop owner did something that has never happened to me before. i regret going there. i regret ever going there, ive been there a few times. everytime i have been there ihave gotten rude responses from the workers, they cut my hair how they want it. not how i want it. i felt unsafe and anxious. this was not a pleasant last experience.

used to be my favorite place, but had an issue with one of the new barber, which I believe should not be a barber, and had to get my hair fixed the next day. Also, 3rd time where there is a complete disorder in the line up, no system in place, and people being people, distracted, on their phones, or just socially unaware, have no idea where they stand in the line, So I just left, again disappointed. used to be my favorite place but I'll wait until they make changes.... then maybe I'll give it a try again and rate in a 5 star ... again :)

worst haircut of my life... waited longer than my hair cut... told not to touch the top of my hair and she decided to do her own thing... had inches of length walked out with a cm at most... was made fun of for my injury... unprofessional cut was singing songs not following instructions.. was charged for a beard line up but had to go buy razors and do it myself at home because she didn't know how to but since she trimmed it I was charged. I left feeling robbed and honestly sad.. I've had better haircuts at magic cuts growing up I don't know how some of these barbers are employed. Almost 40 dollars and had to shave my head because it was actually that bad.

If you want a quality haircut I would not suggest going here. I've gone here 3 times now expecting better results, but each time I am met with the same possibly more displeasure than the previous time. Employee's are unprofessional and will rush you through and not even bother asking you the length of which you want your haircut, instead they just cut to their own discretion. Oh and also don't be surprised if you end up waiting 30 mins or longer just to get a haircut.

Delano and Cameron did a fantastic job the first time we went to get our haircut and they continue to do a great job. The place is very clean and the guys are super friendly. I’m glad we switched from going to a US chain and are back at a barber like I went to when I was growing up.

Nice guy cutting my hair, good cut. However, I walked in and none of the staff was wearing a mask. Not required I know. However, then the guy cutting my hair said he isn't vaccinated (near the end of my cut). I understand it is a personal choice and I respect that, however, at least wear a mask if you could be exposing your clients to COVID. It should also be my choice to not expose myself to an unvaccinated, unmasked person.

DO NOT USE THIS BARBERSHOP!!!!! This is the worse experience I have ever had at a barber. I went in for a beard line up with a straight razor. I had to stop the barber as he tried to put a dirty, hair filled (someone else's hair) straight razor to my neck which is unsafe and disgusting. I asked and double check that the barber knew how to use a straight razor, which the guy obviously didn't know how to use it, as it wasn't a close shave at all. He then proceeded to rake a T-handle razor over the areas to try to get them closer, which caused my skin to bleed and have horrible razor burn! The guy at the front counter talked to the manager who came over, looked at my neck and agreed it was a horrible job. But then he proceeded to say that I had to pay for it anyways. I will never be going back to this establishment and I would urge you to stay as far away as you can!

Chilliwack on Thomas road. I cannot comment on the haircuts as the wait was too long. However, the service was awful. First, when calling, the receptionist was quite short with me and overall rude. No customer service skills. I decided to give it a try anyways and dragged my 2 kids down there ( 3 years and 4 months) to get my 3 year old a haircut. Upon walking in I was not greeted by anyone, all the barbers had enough time to look up and give me an unwelcoming stare. But no acknowlegement other than that. I will not be going back. The lack of customer service alone turned me off.

This review is strictly based on MY experience with this business. The haircut I received was not even remotely close to what I asked for. I had to shave my head after leaving here (I'm in sales and my image effects my sales). I find the emphasis with this business is on the marketing and atmosphere, not the service itself. I was hoping to support the locally owned men's barber but I'll have to stick with the franchised men's barber in Chilliwack, which I won't name. The customer service was above average; however, I pay my hard earned money for a good haircut, not a good time. Sadly, I won't return.

Just got the worst haircut of my life at Sweeney mill st location. Showed barber pictures and explained in detail what I wanted. When I was done I wondered if he listened to a word I said. I guess I'm wearing a hat til my hair grows back enough to fix!????
