I phoned a day prior and made an appointment for the next day. I arrived early and there was no appointment under my name in their book. The stylist had free time as her client hadn't shown up, so I was able to get in for a shampoo and cut. I haven't had my hair cut in over 2 years and don't have a regular stylist. The stylist was kind enough and we made small talk. It was divulged that she had been doing hair for 20+ years. I had shown her a picture and explained what I wanted done with my hair and the ultimate goal I had in mind for vintage pincurl/roller set styles. She washed my hair and when we got to the cut it was really basic and easy to follow. Everything looked alright while my hair was wet and felt 1000x's better than when I walked in. After some product and leave in conditioner she proceeded to 'dry' my hair. My hair was left wet, not soaked or dripping but still really quite wet. After drying it at home there were pieces of my hair that was left uncut behind the ears and the shape in the back that I was looking for was not there. I've worked in salons and I am a professional stylist and not once have I ever let a client leave with WET hair, regardless of them asking for a blow out or not. I felt that I was rushed out and the cut was mediocre at best for a stylist of 20+ years under her belt. Needless to say I won't be going back. It's unfortunate because I was looking for a really good stylist close to home.

They are up to date on trends and new styles and love what they do, even get excited over their customers new cuts and styles!! I feel like they really care about their customers!! Better yet they are very reasonably priced!! Cant say enough good things about them!!

On Saturday October 13th I went for a hair cut. Been going here for 90% of my hair cuts since I was 5. The ladys who have been working there for as long as I can remember are amazing hair stylists/cutters. But there was this one lady there that day that changed my mind on this place. Me and my girlfriend walk in, no appointment because that's just how I work. I ask if there's an opening and if there is, if not then that's ok ill go another day. So after we walk in we sit down. This lady (probably 28-33 longer dark hair and slightly larger set) asks "what do you want" then points at us. I say "a haircut please" she replies with very rudely "you got an appointment?" While not even looking down at the book she's flippjng. I state "no, but do you have any openings?" She points at us again with her scissors and asks "the both of you?" (Again super rudely). "No just me thanks" While she is cutting my hair, she will keep cutting my hair while not looking to what me and my girlfriend think, looking at my girlfriend to make sure we aren't robbing the place. That is for 1. Rude and for 2. Unprofessional as hell. If you are cutting hair, you keep your eye on where you are cutting. I don't care if you are the world's best hair stylist, you don't look away while cutting(chopping I should say). In short, she destroyed my hair. Didn't even get 85% of the loose hair out of my head afterwards. Walking towards the save on I pull out 11 full fist fills of hair and my girl pulls out 6. I tipped VERY generiously for the literal worst hair cut experience I've ever had. But if you get the other hair stylists, you'll have a 5 star experience. If you get her, tip well but state that she's an idiot for treating PAYING customer who TIP VERY WELL, like criminals. If she was fired. I'll go back for sure, at this time it is undetermined for me .That place is very sentimental to me. But that lady ruined it.

1st experience was aweful... Gave a quick cut, but Gwen save the day by fixing.. I believe when people say something and then choose not to do it. I think I will try a Barber shop next, If you say your going to it, then ... Just do it...

I got my haircut on Saturday I went in to get it fixed because they messed it up the lady said the day was filled up and then she said she would do it tomorrow I asked her if there was any way she could let me get it done today if I waited then she got very upset and started speaking to me in a very rude way not swearing or nothing but in a very rude way and then they kicked me out and told me never to come back so I went to Mill Street barbers and they fix sassy cuts mistake for free now I'm not telling you what to do but if you want a bad haircut and bad service sassycuts is the only place in town for you

Gwen is amazing! She's patiently fixed my horrible home cuts multiple times, and always educates me when I'm there. I had been afraid to go to a salon after multiple bad experiences, but Gwen has always taken her time and left me completely satisfied with my hair. 10/10 would recommend. But to make me look like I'm a fool for saying it doesn't look right but her telling me I'm seeing things that I phoned in the next day to complain and someone else went and fixed my hack job will I ever go back nope I'll drive to Vancouver and go to my regular guy or hopefully find someone who knows how to take care of there customer's..

My son who is 9 has always been scared of hair cuts loved the lady that cut his hair.... She didn't get a chance for me to say he's autism spectrum... But quite honestly I don't think it mattered. .. I usually cut his hair and she was calming him down with facts which he loved. I give it a 5/5 because of the lady being so understanding.... And also when she made a accident she felt genuinely sorry... ???? Nicked my son's ear.... But he's a wiggle worm and the mask did not help! So I get... Wouldn't ever blame her for that silly covid times doesn't mean bad review. She did great with my son and him and I both loved the experience. ????

Engaging in conversation with him...rare as most other place just want to get it done and go. Strongly suggest her!!!! The cut she did was perfect also exactly what he wanted

I had a horrible experience here with my kid . If anyone knows how difficult it is to have your kids hair cut then you know that the frustrating atmosphere that can create . There is a certain level of professionalism that needs to be followed and I feel that asking myself and my kid to leave is not it . If you can't handle kids then don't offer to provide a service for it .

Had my hair cut by a girl named Marie. Totally ruined my hair, told me if I colored it it wouldn't be noticeable. She has been working there for 7 mths she said, I have no idea how she has lasted this long. When I realized how bad she was cutting my hair I said to her do u think u should get another lady to rectify it she said no its ok I can do it. I ended up telling her to just leave it. She said ok ill just tidy up the back and ull be on ur way. I have had to book an appointment at another hair dressers to try and rectify the mess she has done, and just hope they can. I hope she never has the chance to ruin anyone else's hair. I will never go back to this place I'download 3 pics of the mess she left

Booked appointment for a shave. I already have the side of my head shaved and just needed it trimmed as it was getting too long. The appointment took no longer than 3 minutes, the station I sat at was not cleaned at all from previous appointments and then they had the nerve to charge me 23 dollars!!!! I get my kids a full hair cut with a cool design shaved in for less than that at other salons. First and last time I will go here.

Took my youth son in for haircut. Unfortunately, like every salon I ever take him to, this one also required me going over the cut for evenness. What was different about this salon tho is the woman who cut his hair was very offended by me asking her to even it out. What? Does she expect her customers to see the cut is uneven and say nothing? When I go for a cut I'm not looking for drama. Due to the lack of skills and unprofessionalism, I'll definitely never be going back. ????
