I've been going to Babylon Barber Shop for around 2.5 years and I always get my hair cut by James. He is simply the best there is! I've never had another barber in all of the Fraser Valley as proficient and meticulous as him. He is very skilled and knowledgeable about the different types of hairstyles and the ones that will suit you depending on your hair texture and quality. I've changed my haircuts/styles so many times and he is always up to the task and does a phenomenal job no matter the haircut. Even when the shop is busy, you might expect a lot of barbers to rush through their clients, but not James. He is extremely diligent and takes care to make sure that you get the haircut you need and does it to the best of his ability even if it means that he has to stay back past the closing hours! That is commitment and dedication to your craft and is very hard to come by. Best barbershop I've ever been too by far. I use to drive 40 minutes, pass like 30 other barbers just to come here. I'd let a Mcdonalds employee give me open heart surgery before I'd let anybody else cut my hair and fade me up. Not even lying. Covid making you feel down, go to Babylon and leave looking fresh to death so at least you look fly while you sit at home and watch netflix.

Called in the morning at 11am to ask what time shop was open until and how long the wait was, got told 6pm and 20mins wait. So i left my house within 30 mins, get there the barber tells me that hes the only one there today and he cant cut me. So i get sent back so much for driving 25mins for a haircut.. would have been more convenient to tell over phone than to waste my time.

I visited these guys today, 2020/01/04, and I'm going to explain my review. I'll start by saying that despite there being cons to my visit, I still think these guys deserve their 5 star review from me. To start with, I arrived at 10:00am on the dot. This is their posted opening time, and it's wrong. When I arrived they already had people getting their hair cut, and they already had a line about 24 people deep. They had 2 guys going, and they always gave people the same ETA on their cut, 2-3 hours. They told me it was going to be 1-2 hours, and I walked out at 1:30pm, having had arrived at 10:00am on the dot. I really should have just gone elsewhere for a while and come back, but I live in Abbotsford, and I didn't want to spend too much time wandering around. That's my fault, not theirs. Next, I found that one of the guys spent a lot of time taking calls. They were business calls, and they were brief, so it's fine. I'm just saying, it happened. The shop is a little rough, but it's nice. Very comfortable waiting area. Bathroom available to customers (maybe non customers to, I can't speak to that). Now let's move onto the pros. These guys know hair. I haven't been to a barber in a while, and I've had some pretty bad experience in the past, but these guys are good. I parked my 3 year old son in his seat, explained what I wanted to one of their guys, and I had no doubt it was going to come out fine. I did have time to watch them, and I was thoroughly impressed with the results of each person walking out of there. So my sons cut was incredible. Afterwards, they had him come to me while I had my cut, and they were great with him. My cut looks great. I gave the gentleman a rough idea what I wanted, but told him he could use his judgement to make it look good. I wasn't disappointed. So in conclusion. Go in early, get a number. Ask what the wait is. Go get a coffee, take a walk, run errands, whatever. Come back, and enjoy, you will NOT be disappointed. They take debit, credit, cash. The guys are very friendly, and fantastic with children.

Exactly that’s how my barber works; it’s been three years my barber cuts my hair. I have always felt confident after the fresh haircut I got from him. He has experience of almost 12 years in this field. His communication level is beyond great. This barber will treat you like a person not a thing. He is extremely skillful person. He does fade really well. He is very consistent, great communicator, very skilled and confident. I have a really good experience with him every time. It is not easy in this city to find a professional barber, and yes I found him. He is exceptional in his work. I always get a quality haircut from the barber here, and it's a pretty good price. Since finding this shop, I have never gone anywhere else. Best barber I have found in the city. Without a drama if you want a high quality haircut in a very comfortable environment then he is the one. He is a talented barber who is happen to be a great guy too.

Honestly not even a good a haircut. REPLY TO OWNER's RESPONSE: I was there at 10:10 and left at 11:45. FYI You did not serve just two ppl. 2kids. 2 dad and son. "2 appointments". Full beard trim (Yeard) and hair cut. Both were excellent. After putting a year into growing my beard,except for two minor trims, I was very happy with the result. Unlike the trims, a beard straighter was used before the cut which helped ensure a better cut. There is a long wait but you are given a number and an estimated time for you to return thus as long as you plan ahead the wait should be acceptable to most. I would expect that you would wait only 5-15 minutes by planning that way.

I travel often for work and visit many barbers. These guys have to be top 5 on my all time list. James and Jack are both pros but unless you show up midday during the week don't expect to get in right away. The word is out so you will have to show up early, take your number and wait your turn. Trust me, it's worth it.
