Honestly my best barber experience yet. I set up my appointment online and the staff were ready when I arrived. Super friendly. I'm not a very talkative person and I felt like my barber took the hint; he didn't try to force a conversation. It's been years since I've been to a barber, but choosing Beardlington was easier than deciding to get a cut to begin with, their positive feedback is sky-high, and now I know why. Exceptional quality of service, they're all super nice, you get a complimentary drink and their knowledge of hair comes through in their skills and concentration when working on someone. So much attention to detail! David was amazing, a small handful of questions and he knew what to do and got right to it, no awkwardly pulling out your phone to show pictures of something close to what you want. Beardlington offers one of the best barbershop experiences I've ever had. And I guess I know what I'm talking about. I'm from Turkey where you get spoiled in your barbershop: good artisans offering the full service, and consistent every single time. I thought I had to stop expecting anything like those barbers after spending last 15 years living abroad in many different places, but then I've found Beardlington. Been there twice already within 5 weeks (after the first time at a barber abroad, I always wait unwillingly imagining my hair would just cut itself, until I just have to go to continue being part of society). I had to book different barbers each time (Ivan and Rustem). They were both very talented, listened carefully but also made the right call when I had no idea about the tiny details of my haircut. They do not bore you at all, conversation flows and I know I get bored pretty easily! You are greeted with a free drink of your choice, they're on time with appointments, they use quality products, and nothing feels rushed at all. Strongly recommend them!

What a nice place. Service is on point- very professional and friendly. Whiskey and coffee are offered as part of a haircut. Great haircut and beard trim with Ivan. Took his time to get my fade right, then used the scissors to take a little off the top. Cleaned up the beard just right, and took a straight razor to the neckline. Awesome value for $35 +tip. My barber was Manny who was super professional and explained different ways he could cut my hair and even repair previous haircuts that might have been done incorrectly. He helped show me how to properly style my hair after the cut and gave me tips on what type of product to use. Overall amazing place for a haircut and the establishment is super clean and very classy with nice staff. Prices are also very affordable.

First of all, the pristine amazing quality of their services for the price that you are paying is insane, $20 for hair cut and $15 for the beard. It was just for the cut, all was perfect and washing the hair was included (they ask if you want it or not). I don't even feel the waiting because of their gentlemen's lounge that they have, they offered me a drink (they even have crown royal ????) and the music is perfect. I'm not a fan of trusting new places and new people when it comes to personal grooming and I've been trimming my own facial hair for years now. So walking into Beardlington to make an appointment was a big deal. I was greated sweetly, professionally and was given an appointment according to my availability. Great! And when I came back the next day, I met Ivan and immediately hit it off. What a sweet, attentive guy. He knew exactly what I needed and made me feel comfortable. No doubt I'll be going back. Talk about going beyond the call of duty! These guys are amazing! I highly recommend them.

I was always a quick in-and-out haircut kind of guy until I started coming here. This place is the full experience for haircut and beard: you get a choice of whiskey or coffee while you wait, then you start the haircut which is cut to perfection. Once that's done, you get the full beard treatment with a hot washcloth, some walnut exfoliating cream, some beard oil of some sort, the beard clipping to match the haircut, and finally finish with a straight razor shave followed by a cold washcloth press... I'm telling you, you go in feeling like a Hyundai and leave looking like a Ferrari!! lol Awesome place and skilled barbers... highly recommended!!

He was just talkative enough to not be rude, but also not enough to keep me from relaxing. My favorite part was the Hot towel Shave experience. They absolutely know how to make you feel relaxed. A really good latte (barista level) was offered when I got in, the shave was perfect and I had a interesting talk with the barber. It’s a nice place and they were welcoming but the cut was mediocre. Told the barber to only trim the beard and not make any lines. The gentleman lined the beard and also the moustache. The sides are fine but he did a bad job on the moustache. When I pointed it out the barber said I should have told him and that my request was vague... which is funny as I literally said only trim, no lining. He wouldn’t own up to it which is my main issue. Lesson is to avoid these flashy places and stick to old school barbershops who know how to simply follow instructions.

Went there for a royal shave a week ago. Service was accommodating, coffee is strong and savoury. The whisky they offer is basic but it’s a kind thing to do and I haven’t seen this in previous barber shops. All in all I felt that I was taken good care of. I waited to see how my beard grows back after a total shave before reviewing. The shave was satisfying. A small amount of hair were a bit left out but there no trace of any irritations nor in-grown hairs. The shave consisted of 2 hot-towels, 2 shaves and 1 cold towel. However, I do think that a royal shave should consist of 3 passages to really make sure that every area is covered. That was my expectations when comparing this with other places. This is the only point for me, where one could argue. Lastly, I am not a someone who talks nor likes to be talked to when visiting a barber. I go there to enjoy my peace and relax while someone takes care of my hair/beard. I know other people love talking about their lives and I don’t mind that either. What I really appreciated was that my barber quickly understood what type of customer I was and left me in peace so that I could enjoy this shave. Nevertheless she did keep her friendliness and was gentle during the whole shave. Overall, i do think they need to make minor adaptations in their workflow but I am pleased by the quality of the service and shave. I will come back regularly.

Beardlington has been my go-to spot ever since it opened! I've had the chance to have my hair cut by many of the barbers: Ivan, Dragos, Anthony and Valentin; all of them are down to Earth guys with who it is easy to see the hour appointment go by in a flash. Not once have I been disappointed by their services. Due to my schedule, Valentin is now my only barber and I have nothing but praise for him; I always come out of there feeling good about my hair. Beardlington really brings that friendly neighborhood vibe to barber shops. You go in, have a drink, get your haircut and just chill.

Used to go here but I will no longer go because: Last time I went I took appointment with experienced barber only to be transfered to a apprentice. Charged same price and cut was not same quality. Also took way too long. They are constantly late. Like 30-40 minutes late on appointment. Offering a coffee does not give you the right to be late time over time. When I first started going there it was 20$ for a hair cut. It was a fair price for a simple clipper hair cut. No styling. They changed price to 25$ cause they hired a receptionist, which I was ok to pay. Now it went up to 28.50$. again... Its a clipper cut, no styling, no cleaning, no shave, and no beard trim. Its too expensive for service offered. There are better places, it is unfortunate because I have been supporting them since opening but I think their lack of business sense might be catching up with them.

Beardlington Barbershop is by far the best barbershop in Montreal. You get more than a haircut and a shave, you get an unforgettable experience. Not only is it very affordable, the friendly staff treat you with absolute care and provide top notch service. Want a beer, whisky or coffee? By all means, enjoy it before, during or after your grooming. All the staff do an excellent job, but both Rustem and Valentin are my go-to barbers. Their professionalism is absolutely incredible and they never seem to let me down. Today, I once again got my hair cut and beard trimmed by Valentin, and I had to share with the public the amazing haircut/trimming service he gave me. I’m someone who’s very very picky when it comes to my hair, and he nails the job every single time. Not only that, you don’t feel treated like just a customer, but more like a friend. If quality is less important than cost then I don't need to tell you that you can get a haircut anywhere and pay 20 dollars or even less. So if 15 minutes for a15 dollar haircut is what you consider a great deal, stop reading now. If you're still reading my review it's probably because you're no longer intrested waiting around 30 minutes or more at a walk-in barbershop. You're fed up because your time is worth much more and you're at that stage in your life. So, do yourself a favor. Call a place like Bearlington a couple of days ahead. Make an appointment that best suits your needs. This way when you walk into Beardlington at your convenience and you're greeted by a professional at that given time you choose. Or, if you choose to arrive 15 minutes ahead of your scheduled time, which is the etiquette way, just step into the lounge area and sit down on a comfortable leather sofa and sip your scotch, and consider Beardlington Barbershop as a rest area. A place where you treat yourself to a haircut and shave. A place where you lay back with a hot towel on your face long enough to doze off and even fall asleep. A place that doesn't take shortcuts to cut your hair, because your hair and beard deserve the time it takes to shape cream and oil. Before you know it your time with your barber is coming to an end, and as your barber is sorting, placing and cutting the last loose ends, and he finally shows you what was done during the time you were sitting there, you realize your appreciation for a professional who takes the time needed to meticulously cut your hair isn't priceless but its definitely worth paying more than 15 dollars.

Jonathan is my go to guy from now on.
