My wife (Hope Sider for reference) had very bad experience here and since then I have heard many many more horror stories very similar to hers. I am sure there are some very talented hair dressers that work there, but I would not recommend going unless a hair dresser you have been seeing for years moves there or you know for sure the person you get has years of experience. I only write this review because I would hate to see what happened to my wife happen to someone else. If they had fixed it free of charge with an apologetic attitude, I would have nothing but positive things to say. However, there was no apology or even admitting that they had messed up even by the manager. I was so unimpressed overall.

Wish I had these ladies in Ontario! I booked my appointment having never been to Tangerine before, being from away. We spent a week at the cottage at the end of summer and after a long family trip overseas- my hair was overdue to be done. My blonde can be a bit difficult to process as I always pull brass. I showed my stylist Julia a photo of what I was going for prior to starting and off we went. The brass came through despite everyone's efforts. We had to re highlight and tone again to get rid of it for good. During the entire process (2 appointments as I ran out of time during the 1st) ALL the ladies were amazing. I managed to get my shellac redone during processing time and brows waxed. Julia gave me the best cut which I am so thrilled with and the colour turned out perfect. I just wish I could go to them for all my appointments, but I will be back next year- to your new location! Big thanks to you all!

My daughter's hair was dyed the wrong color, and when we asked for a correction there was no acknowlegment that they had gotten it wrong. They alluded she did not know what color she was asking for. In the end she was happy but it cost tremendously and the whole experience was very stressful.

I had my hair cut by Jacqueline. She was super nice, super friendly, and very accomidating. She made sure that all my concerns were met and that I wasnt dissapointed. I HIGHLY recommend tangerine hair as well as Jacqueline herself. I also noticed that a Muslim woman had gone into the salon to get some work done (she wore a hijab) and they were extremely accomidating to her aswell. They made sure she was comfortable and that her religious beliefs were taken care of. Once again, I highly recommend this salon!

I went to the salon last week for a consultation to get my hair coloured. We discussed that the colour I wanted would not be doable in one session and would take a few to lighten it how I wanted. I understood this since I have bleached my hair before. I arrived to the appointment the following week, when we bleached my hair the bleach began to run down my back and the foils became very warm. My hairdresser then began to ask other stylists what she should do ( not a good sign). She left the bleach in & continued. when washing out the bleach we realized there was some old dye in my hair but the hairdresser suggested we do a darker tone to cover it, this was done but when we rinsed out my hair it was a disgusting grey/brown and at the bottoms blue ( It was suppose to be a light lavender). After 7 hours of being there we had to perform a rescue mission and I ended up leaving with hair that I hated. When I called the next day to express my disappointment I was told that I was going to have to pay additional money to fix my hair when I had paid 500$ already. When I spoke to the owner she then told me it was my fault because I did not know the history of my hair. A month later, I went to see a hairdresser that I trusted and never had problems with. After seeing my hairdresser I found out more about how bad my hair appointment at Tangerine truly went. My hair was severely damaged & the breakage caused layers in my hair ( I have never had layers cut into my hair). In addition, my hair was even CUT poorly, one side was much longer than the other. Very disappointed in the service I paid for, the customer service I received & the overall business. I will not recommend this salon to anyone, ever.

Love that each employee has an album showcasing their work on facebook, and that you can book an appointment online and choose who you would like to see. I was really nervous about trying out another new place. I kept having mini hair disasters. After debating for a while, I just did it an booked an appointment with Amy. I got exactly what I wanted, and she is so fantastic. This will definitely be where I go from now on.

I went to Tangerine expecting to pay more for a better cut than I had been receiving at other Charlottetown stylists. I showed the stylist pictures of my hair the way I wanted it. They were selfies as I had taken a trip to Red Deer, AB this summer and received the cut I wanted. I explained that the hair looked shorter in the pictures due to the curl it had. I explained I liked the sides more square than rounded and that wisps of hair around the widows peak should be left so I could sweep them forward. Unfortunately my expectations were too high. The colour and position of the highlights was great but the cut itself has left me with unmanageable hair. The cut was rounded on the sides and all the edges that were to be left for styling, were trimmed right to the hairline. Since the razor blade was overused on my thinning hair I am unable to style it properly and it is going to take a considerable amount of time to grow out. The atmosphere as staff were pleasant and helpful, but this is a review about their product. That being the haircut mainly, a poor colour can be corrected. A poor cut can only grow out.

I hate giving bad reviews but I am shocked at how bad my hair is. Im so upset and there is no way of fixing it unless I go drastically shorter. My hair is short at the front and long in the back. The pictures say it all. this was how my hair naturally falls. Not to mention how oneven it is on either side. I told the hair dresser that I part my hair to the side and when she cut it it was to the side. But she cut the shorter side way shorter. there is a 2inch difference. There is no way I can keep all my hair down, I have to pin up the front part of my hair. I asked for layers and got a mess. thankfully my hair is curly so it hides some of this but its still bad! I called and told them I had curly hair and I needed someone trained with curly hair. I loved the service and when I was there they were amazing but I will never be back. My daughter also got her hair cut and hers looks great. This is why im giving two stars and not 1

Went for a bikini wax today. The esthetician came across inexperienced. When I got home I realized that my skin had been ripped open on both sides. When I came back for a refund she stated that she had seen the bleeding but was unsure of where it was coming from. I would not recommend getting a wax here.

I’m not one to leave bad reviews.. I don’t think I ever have. However, I was extremely disappointed with Tangerine Hair today. I had booked with Marley hoping to find a hairstylist I really liked and become a long-term client. I got there on time and was told Marley would just be a couple minutes finishing up a client - ok, no big deal. 15 minutes later she was still with her client - ok, it might not be her fault so I asked if there was another stylist available as I have other things on my schedule today. I was told she’ll only be a couple more minutes. ANOTHER 15 minutes later (30 minutes at this point) the client was finishing up and leaving. I was offered a “discount” price of $35+ tax and tip for the dry cut I requested. $35 would be the regular price for that service. Needless to say, I cancelled and left extremely disappointed in the quality of customer service and lack of consideration for another person’s time and schedule.

I made my first and last appointment with this business. I commuted to Charlottetown from Summerside to sit in the parking lot with other customers who were also waiting for their door to open. Tangerine decided to close for the day due to the weather (that wasn't even severe), the only business in the area that closed due to weather today. They did not even contact their scheduled clients to advise them. Poor customer service.

My boring straight hair was turned into movie star hair. Was a great experience after having 3+ bad hair days with different hair dressers, 2 of which are in pei. My daughter came to hang out was given a washable pink shampoo colour put in her hair.cant wipe the smile from her face if ya tried. She loves it and we’re both Super happy with the results. As soon as I remember my hair dressers name I’ll be posting it, as she was great to work with! ( she’s in one of the photos)
