I love the Courtenay Great Clips walkin hairdresser. I love the freedom to be able to walk in without a formal appointment. I also like the option of booking with tge app a short whole before I arrive there. The hairdressers always cut my hair the way I like it. The staff are always courteous and add a personal social touch as I go there regularly.

I went in with a picture of the cut I wanted. Asked if the employee could do it and she assured me that she could. I came out it wasn't even close o what I asked for and she butchered my bangs. What a horrible experience. I gave her the chance to say whether she could or could not do it, just be honest instead of having an unhappy customer. Seesh now I need o pay another to ty o make it presentable.

It's near impossible to get the hairstylist you want. If you're happy with a particular sylist and want them the next time, good luck! It makes using their check-in app useless because unless u call in to see if the person is working that day there's no way to line it up!

Pushing to use the online booking system, well what about the people who do not have smartphones, access to a computer or internet, or people who are net illiterate? where is the equality toward those who can not and do not operate tech? why are places allowed to do this, is this not net discrimination? really being selective on who can use their services, i understand walk-ins are allowed but why push online bookings, our society is going down the drain if we can not have understanding, we are not ready for this online only push.

They should name their store to "worse clips". Butchered my hair, the Aussie lady didn't have a clue how to do skin fade. I asked first do you know how to do it, she said yes then in the middle of the cut she's like she doesn't know cause she hasn't done many. I asked if she has someone else in store who is more experienced than her but she denied and said she's the most experienced. The reviews they have look pretty fake too

I'm going to give it three stars. Based on the fact that they do $10 haircuts from time to time. Other than that I find it very hit-or-miss. Sometimes you get a good cut sometimes you don't. I suppose if you went there frequent enough you would find out who gives the best haircut and you consistently see that person.

I find the biggest plus about Great Clips is the Online Check in. Tells you roughly how long of a wait you have and even if you check in and it says there's 5 minute wait, your name won't be taken off the list if you're not there within that time. Always have great customer service. I don't get the most complicated hair cut but I'm always leaving happy.

This place gets customer service. The staff are friendly, and the prices are great, especially when you ask for their prepaid gift cards. The best part is being able to checkin with their app, and show up to get a haircut anytime - last minute or booked ahead without waiting. Another thing is that these staff seem to really enjoy their work, and have enjoyed getting to know them over the years.

I came in for a haircut today, I requested the man hairstylist, he had cut my hair before and I was happy with him.. I believe his name is Kevin.. The girl at the front counter said she would let him know when he was done the cut he was doing.. She said it wasnt busy and I wouldnt have to book another day..so I waited.. While I was waiting several other people came in, the other hairstylists were busy and took them all in turn.. When Kevin was done, he didnt acknowledge me, instead he took another customer that was part of a family.. I can understand if it was busy, I could have come back another day, but no one said anything to me so I got up and walked out.. Poor customer service today.

I got a coupon in the mail for a Back to School special cut. I was crazy to go in on the Labour Day Monday but I called first and they suggested I reserve online first. It looked like I had a couple hours wait so I did an errand but still dropped in with about a 45 minute wait left. The waiting room was packed with no where to sit. I checked in at the reception and I found out I was the only one there that had checked in online so she (I wish I remembered her name) took me in right away. I just needed a couple of inches off the length and she had done it quickly and efficiently. I inquired about a product to keep my hair nice and less frizzy. She was really helpful. I would definitely return and use the online booking system. It's a life saver!

they have a thing were they write down how you normally like to have your hair cut and then they just ask if you would like have it cut the same as usual and that's what he did but he wrote it down wrong so instead of a 2, a 3, and 7-8ish he did a 2 a 3 and a 6 so if you do go here make sure to be very clear about what you want i personally will almost definitely not go here again... :(

Excellent service with great stylist. I booked on line, so we didn't have to wait long for our appointment. It was very cheap for the kids a total of $32 inc. tips. The stylist listened and advised, both kids came out with fabulous haircuts. The best since we arrived on the island five yrs ago. My husband uses them too, and he's very difficult to please, somehow they haven't failed him yet.

Extremely rude to an elderly woman. Harassing her about how irresponsible she is because she has a house here in CR and one in Manitoba. One for winter one for summer. She had been in BC for months and had quarentined as required months ago. This hair stylist was so rude and cruel telling this poor older woman she will cause people to get covid and how she shouldn't have been allowed to travel. That she (the hairstylist) could bring covid home to her husband from people who do that. Terrible behavior.

It really depends on your hair dresser, some are nice and friendly and those ones often perform better, then the ones who do not talk acknowledge your presence. I have to say for longer hair cuts, its pretty cheap and okay for what you get. There are only 3 girls I say who can properly cut long curly hair right. I only go in when one of those there are there to make sure my cuts are good and I am satisfied.

Terrible experience! I had an under cut and I grew it out to cut it and get it all even and when I went in it wasn't a long wait so I thought oh this shouldn't be too bad and when I get to my chair to get my hair cut I sat down and told the lady that I want a pixie cut so it all even and grows out evenly and the first thing she said was "no you don't want a pixie cut that's for old lady's" then I told her I want my hair all even and she then made a face like it made sense and I told her I also want a trim and she then got very confused for the most simple request and I she then started cutting my hair without any clarification and I then I noticed she started blended it all together with like a dozen different lengths then I had to tell her I want the same length all around my head and then proceeded to treat my hair like a 3yr old would with a barbie doll and then kept getting mad at me like I wasn't making sense and got very mad and made me get up and leave the chair to go back to the waiting section where my boyfriend was with my hair all choppy and I wanted to cry from rage and embarrassment to get the phone for a reference, then when I showed it to her she wanted to give me bangs and proceeded to explain bangs like I've never had them before and left to another hair stylist and started taking bad about me saying "there's a communication issue" when I said I didn't want bangs then she sad she's not going to cut my hair at ALL and I was about to cry because she didn't understand ANYTHING I WAS SAYING and even that hair stylist KNEW WHAT I WAS TALKING ABOUT but after everything was done I got my hair cut I was still unsatisfied with the hair cut and even after another worker had to apologize for my time I had there and gave me coupons like I'm going back and now I have to pay more from another salon just to get it done right and I went there a few years ago and still wasn't satisfied with it before. Not satisfied and still upset about my time there and this happened a little over a week ago

I have been to this location several times, always quick with the online check in and good quality service. Today not so much. I was booted out of my online check in and put under someone else's name by mistake. Yes same name. My phone said 0 wait time, I double checked that I was checked in online. After 20 minutes I decided to check again why I was not being served. Apparently I was checked in under a different last initial and 8th on the list instead of #1. I asked to be checked in again in the proper order and was denied, my option was to re-check in... Which would have cost me more time, that I didn't have. So I cancelled my check in and left. The owner did contact me to apologize after I had left. Which is nice, I respect the effort. However the customer service opportunities were missed. I do not get that time back and well having to wait twice for one haircut isn't great at all.

Terrible experience...DO NOT GO THERE... BETTER DO IT YOURSELF.... I just wanted standard hair cut nothing special at ALL...When my " hair stylist" begin cutting I noticed she is staying most of the time at my right side and looks a bit shorter there... But I have been calm... I sad to my self may be I just imagine that everything is fine... After she finish I noticed that she showed me my back of the head with mirror pointing at the ceiling so I can't see any mistakes just a nice flat white ceiling. I went there with my wife so I tasked her right away how is my back - O u have a hump line hun... she told me and a lady who've been siting on the waiting chairs confirmed that . So I called my hairdresser and explain to her what's wrong and I never ever had this before. She told me YOUR HEAD IS LIKE THIS. Omg should I go and see a doctor now or should I thank her first that she find that hump and maybe she save my life.... NO that wasn't the case. That was the worst excuse I ever heard. Usually hair stylist will cover any imperfection and that's why I pay for it and trust me I have just standard head not a Frankenstein one. I won't be so disappointed if she said sorry for that, that my hands are growing from my a,,.But I'm the guy who is wrong. I'm soo sorry that I even tip her... what a mistake, now I have to go somewhere else to be fixed and pay again . I'm not going to tell how uneven my sides are that is another Eagle Landing "style" what I don't ask and want from worst clips. I'm sure my kid is way more skillful than that hairdisaster. If I could I would rate this place with a -star but a can't :-( DO NOT GO THERE ask a a friend or DIY are better options.

Two of us went to Great Clips Chilliwack first time after reading positive Goggle reviews. Two ladies cut our hair. Both ladies cut only half an inch all around. That was all. The cuts were completed in a minute. Despite the bad cuts, we smiled and still tipped them well. These were just two nice ladies trying to make ends meet. When my husband picked us up in front of the shop he asked, "Why aren't you two waiting inside for your hair cuts?" Eventually we decided to have another hair cuts somewhere else.

The young girl who cut my hair, Brittany, did such a terrible job that it took 3 more hair appts (at a different salon) to correct it. I found out later, she is only a student from the high school which no one told me before getting the haircut. I also paid the same as i would to a fully qualified and licensed hair stylist. I will never go there again.

My daughter went to get her hair cut. Shes a tomboy so it was a short cut. And the lady told her she couldn't blend her undercut and just left her hair with a horrible hair cut. I'm not a hairdresser and I was able to blend it after.

Need a new do? Want to have your favourite haircut but uncertain where to go? Want some frosting for you hair? Can't remember what exactly what your last cut was? If you answer yes to any of these questions, then this is the place you must go to. Personally, I let Bubbles cut my hair and I never have any uncertainty of what my last haircut was since it is inputted into their computer, so anytime I want the same haircut they will know. Sure there might be a waitlist for the day you want to get a haircut but the time is never something to fret over; you could find their app on your cell phone and get put in the lineup right away and they generally will hold your position for 30 minutes in want to be haircuts line before you get pushed back. The prices are reasonable, so do not worry about that either.

Went in there to get my hair thinned and trimmed and when I left it was slightly uneven. I had a huge line in the back from a random chop of the thinning shears or whatever they are called and the ends looked awful. I ended up going to a different salon the next day to have it fixed

A friend and I went in there because they were nervous to come in alone, and the woman who cut their claimed they saw lice eggs, which was in fact, NOT lice eggs after we checked with a professional about it. The hairstylist did a choppy, uneven cut of their hair in a style they didn't ask for, and rushed us out only a couple minutes after we walked in after charging us full price for only about ⅓ of the haircut they'd asked of her. I've had my own bad experiences of being purposefully misgendered as a trans person, and given feminine haircuts despite my request for them not to cut my hair like this. They claim they're professionals who know how to spot things like lice and dandruff, but they clearly weren't.

constantly understaffed. i was hoping for a haircut. did the online check in. wait time 45 minutes it said. i added an extra 5 min because my experience told me you still need to wait. when i showed up I was told itll be another 30 min.... 2 people were working in there at 5 pm on a workday. i think they have 10 booths. so i tried the following day again. online check in... this time the wait time was 89 minutes! i wont tey again. seems like its a Chilliwack only problem with probably not enough staff.

The haircuts I've gotten here have usually been alright. Although, this latest one was terrible. I just needed a tidy-up around the ear and that. Right at the start she shaves my sideburns so short its almost parallel with the top of my ear. Like a ruler straight across to the tip of my ear. Of course I just nodded and let the haircut go on, then paid and left. But now I gotta get another haircut/shave my head. Never again.

Good place to get a quick haircut. I like using their booking app as it let's you know how long your wait is. You can get a text reminder and as long as you show up 5 minutes ahead of your appointment you're good to go. They keep a record of your cuts and ask if you would like it done the same way.
