I had an appointment for my daughter at 5pm on Feb 16/2020. The salon was supposed to close at 7. There was a snow storm so we arrived at 5:06 and the store was closed! Did not get a phone call to let me know as they are incapable of marking down the right number. I called the next day on the 17th at 4:09pm and asked for a discount as we respected our appointment and drove in the storm and they did not respect our appointment, she refused to give a discount. Really unprofessional over the phone and when I told her I will make a complaint she had no issue with that and basically told me "ok have a nice day" . Will never go here as this company is not worth a cent for how they couldn't care less about their clients!!! My advice go somewhere else that respect your appointment and having you as a client.

She tells me that she gradually fades it so that it "melts" better. In short, she stains my entire sweater. When it removes the coloring, I am shielded with a big brown regrowth !!! It was disgusting. After she offered to take shampoo / conditioner for blonde which is used to cut the yellow in my hair because I had yellow hair. She tells me that is pcq I would have to redo one or two other tinctures. (I was a little more brown chestnut than the real chestnut). Result: refusal to cut the length requested, very very poorly made dye and a sweater that cannot be used. It was the assistant manager or the manager (black hair, long). Not recommended . (Original) Je demande qu'elle coupe tout ce qui es maganer , elle me coupe à peine les cheveux . Donc , je lui dit coupe plus ,svp . ( En montrant avec mes doigts la grandeur que j'aimerai qu'elle enlève ). Elle me dit non c'est bien comme ca...et me coupe le toupet hyper court.. ensuite , je demande d'éclaicir les pointes . Elle l'a fait mais plus haut que demander . Je dit non je veux pas aussi haut ! Elle me dit qu'elle le fait pâlir de façon graduelle pour ça se "fondre" mieux . Bref , elle tâche tout mon chandail . Quand elle enlève la coloration , je suis blindé avec une grosse repousse brune !!! C'etais dégueulasse . Après elle m'offre de prendre du shampooing /revitalisant pour blonde qui sert à couper le jaune dans mes cheveux car j'avais les cheveux jaune . Elle me dit ça c'est pcq il faudrait que je ten refasse une ou deux autre tintures . (J'étais châtaine un peu plus brune du vrai châtain). Résultat : refus de coupée la longueur demander , teinture très très mal fait et un chandail qui n'est pu utilisable . C'etais l'assistance gérante ou la gerante (cheveux noir , long ). Déconseillé .

I actually had such an amazing experience here with Laura!!! Call Laura because she is amazing! I had a previously horrific experience at another salon and I came here to have my hair fixed. And when I say horrific I mean every girls worst nightmare. I left with neon pink hair, looking like my little pony, and looking like my 3 year old cut my hair. I was so scared to go to another salon again!!! But Laura did such a good job and gave me exactly what I wanted. Coloured my roots, perfect toner and a beautiful cut. I am so so so happy. On top of that, she cut my daughters hair and got it all ready to be donated. Would highly recommend Laura to anyone!!! Thank you!!!

Probably the worst haircut I've ever had. Didn't listen to what I asked for. Asked them to trim to keep my hair long, and they cut more than I have ever had. Was over in less than 10 minutes. I've waited longer for a Big Mac. Hairstylist seemed completely indifferent and was unfriendly. Don't go here, save your money for a proper salon.

It is very disappointing to find out the only person I would ever trust with my hair is no longer there. I had been getting my hair cuts from Rachael for about 8 years after a bad experience with one of the other stylists there. The other stylist did such a horrible job I was in tears... Rachael stepped up, reassured me that she would fix it and she did! Rachael was a great asset to this salon and will be missed. The salon should however not be telling customers she retired when in fact she was bullied out!!! I will follow Rachael wherever she ends up, and I would be happy to discuss this review with the district manager!

HOWEVER, SHE REALLY DISAPPOINTED ME BECAUSE, THE OUTCOME WAS THE OPPOSITE OF WHAT I EXPECTED , IT WAS A TERRIBLE HAIR CUT OUTCOME. THAT MAKES ME FEEL REALLY EMBARRASSED GOING TO WORK WITH THIS KIND OF HAIR. SO, IF YOU WANT A NICE HAIR CUT, PLEASE, READ THE REVIEWS CAREFULLY BEFORE PROCEEDING SO THAT YOU WONT REGRET IT. TREATING THE CUSTOMER NICELY AND WITH RESPECT ARE JUST THE BASIC PART OF THE BUSINESS. AND HAVING AN EMPLOYEE/SOMEONE WHO IS COMPETENT FOR THE JOB TO DO THE TASK IN A RIGHT MANNER IS VERY IMPORTANT TO DELIVER THE BEST TO CUSTOMERS. I went here with my mother (first time) for haircuts and styling recently. My ma also got an eyebrow waxing. We're both pleased with the results. Kim (our hairstylist) was friendly and professional about our hair and our preferences. The customer service was efficient and attentive toward what we wanted. We booked an appointment in advance and it was a smooth process. I'd recommend anyone to not be afraid to ask about pricing of what you want beforehand, as they're pretty transparent about that (based on our experience anyway). Altogether, both my ma and I would come back here again.

I love SmartStyle hair salon! They always understand how I'd like my hair to be cut, they always answer every question I can to my satisfaction and I've not once left unhappy until... I asked them to add suttle blonde highlights to my hair. After the bleaching, fouling and drying was finished it looked okay.. I wasn't the happiest but I thought I couldn't make it work. I bought a purple shampoo to take the yellow tinge out of my blonde highlights and it's not working well.. my highlights don't even look like highlights, it looks as if ty frosted my hair and the "highlights" are spread out unevenly trough my hair. It looks awful and I'm so sad to have had this expiriance. Any time I'd go in, I'd always leave happy and I've always been so greatful! I know they happily fix hair if the plan didn't go so, but because of the fact that I wanted to try to make it work I lost that chance.. I'd love it if the team could find a way to fix my hair, I stare at it ever day wishing it could just go away :/.

I booked an appointment for 5:30 when I arrived they told me it would be about 5 minutes before they could seat me and get started. I ended up waiting for well over an hour and everytime I check in they told me it would be 5 minutes. Their was no communication between the staff and any one I flagged down seemed to be completely unaware that I booked an appointment despite me reminding them. I can only guess whoever took my call didn't actually record my appointment. That said the haircut itself was alright.

Not to mention the 2 ladies bad mouthing their boss while I was getting a service. I contacted the manager next day and showed her in person my hair. I got a lady who had golden blonde hair and seemed like she was the owner of the store. I just got a haircut no colour quickly for thanksgiving and I wanted a massive change and chopped off half my hair. I asked for the length to be to my armpit and very long layers to make the cut not look blunt. Lady made layers a bit to short and my hair a bit to short but I still love how it turned out. I suggest saying what you want but half and inch longer and then you will get your desired length. Lady gave me lots of tips but seemed like she was trying to sell me everything in her store. I felt a bit guilted into buying something so I bought some of the design line silk drops and I will admit there very good. I was expecting to pay 30$ but price quickly made its way all of the sudden to 52$. Overall pretty good experience. But wouldn’t choose to go here again, I had no choice because all hair cutters were closed on thanksgiving Monday except them and I decided to take the chances.

I’ve had the worst experience ever in this location. I went there to do platinum blonde highlights of my entire hair and I was very unsatisfied! I ended up with very thin highlights with different shades and was a lot darker than what I asked for. I have also showed them a picture and they did nothing like it. The worker wasn’t a professional at all and I have no clue why they would hire such people. I talked to the manager to ask her if she can do something about it and refused to... they didn’t even apologize!! As the manager told me Walmart has sold their corporation business to a private owner, there were many changes and they didn’t know how to deal with customers properly ever since. I do not recommend anyone to go there. I have been a customer for the past couple of years and they have absolutely lost me and my friends from going there! Thank you!!

My reason for 3 stars.. 1. I asked for balyage with photo for reference, she wasn't listening as she said that she was going to do an ombre (2 different things) until I corrected her infront of another stylist. I was little frustrated. 2. She was still going ahead with an ombre again I explained there is streaks of brown in the blonde that's what I wanted. She finally cooperated. 3 She over bleached my blonde hair to the point it was shedding at the touch. She kept on saying my hair was damaged tried to blame that I got my hair done already it's been a couple of months I haven't touched my hair. Luckily she kept masking my hair. Over all my hair looks good they were friendly and kind but they really need to work on A Listening skills; if you can't do something say it don't do something else that I did not ask for. Listen to the client. B they need to really understand how bleach works especially in already blonde hair. Telling me you don't feel comfortable as you realised my hair was over processed tells me you should of been upfront on that before starting my hair. C. They charge me $90 for a "specialised brown'' I asked for dark brown they decided to mix 2 natural brown together....why Like I said very friendly and kind, I'm pretty sure she could of done a better job at assessing my hair if she wasn't over booked. I still love my hair the way it turned out just it's very fragile, for how pricey I payed.

I took my son today for a haircut and this was a big mistake. First of all, they do not show a welcoming attitude towards their customers, no smiles at all. You feel like they don't want of your presence. Then when the lady was cutting my son's hair she was very rude to him. He barely mooved and she said that's not funny stop mooving I am gonna rick your hair. I felt so sorry for my son......at the end the hairstyle was nothing like i wanted it to be. I went and saw Penny. Penny used to be really good. This time around I almost left in tears and in pain. She was rushing, entire hair cut took less than 20 minutes. I told her I wanted to keep my length, she took off 3 inches minimum. It’s choppy, not well blended and she was rough. It’s as if she put no care into it at all. The only reason I’m not getting it fixed right away is because I cant bare to loose more length than I already have.

Hit and miss quality, the punk-rock hairdresser did great work but haven't seen her there in a while. Also seems to be very understaffed, the last 3 times I've tried to get my hair cut there it's been a 30-40+ minute wait and there was always only one person working. After going somewhere else 3 times (First Choice nearby, usually 2-10 minute wait max) I'm not going to bother going back in the future. Have had some good haircuts there though.

I will just post what I put on Facebook. Just remember I was happy with my hair. It's not the point here I went to walmart to the salon cause I wanted high lights. And didnt want to send to much on it. I had color and foils and a trim and dry. No curl or straightening. When I went to pay I was shocked it 200. I never said a word to the girl. She was good and dont make the prices. So I called there head office to see if there was a mistake. Nope in fact she didnt charge enough. Should have been more cause my hair is past my shoulders. This is how it was broke down. I am just gonna round up the numbers. 88. For foils ( cause past the shoulders) then 58 for color ( should have been more cause past the shoulders. 26 for cut and dry only That adds up to 172. Then tax is 22 GRAND TOTAL FOR A SALON IN WALMART IS 194 then tip!!!!! I could have went to a much nicer salon than walmart. Listening to kids crying and people everywhere. So just heads up. Just because it's in a walmart building it dont make it a cheaper place to go!! I would have expected this price a nice quite salon that offers you coffee or water. Not a walmart salon. Very unhappy customer!!!????????????????

Took my son there yesterday to try and fix a hair cut attempt I made on him the previous evening. I just needed it blended a bit better on the sides. The lady spent about 5 minutes on his hair, and I was surprise when she said it was done. I wasn't sure how to react, it didn't look any better than before - and she charged me full price - $18 with tax. Based on the quality of their haircuts, I think I should put in a job application - because it seems anyone can cut hair there... and $18 for 5 minutes is great money! Never again - I won't even go back to try and get them to fix it. Just don't do it!!!

I arrove at the hair salon with dark red hair, but about 3 inches of new hair growth was a beautiful rich copper/orange and my roots were bleach blonde and dark blonde, my hair looked like a weird piece of candy corn (after a bad experience from Sally's) it was also stiff, dry, and crunchy from the products that I used from Sally's. But a hairstylist (or more accurately hair magician) named Bianca was able to use her immense talent to transform my hot mess of a rats nest into the most stunning/striking copper/orange shades I have ever seen! I am happy with Smart Style Hair Salon. Anna and Pauline gave me good advise and styled my hair. They are experienced (15years and more ????) and expert. I was nervous cutting my long hair but they made me comfortable and gave me good advise. If you do not like hair do, you can go there next day and ask for advise again with in 7 days. I love my new hair style and Thank you Smart Style Team. ????????????

Overpriced and low quality. Got a cut when the lady told me she was trimming and then charged an extra $21 for the privilege without advising the extra fee on top of a style which I was already paying $60 bucks for. Im trying to grow my hair so when 4 inches is cut off, know I was peed off. I was also left soaking from the wash again, same as last time. I left so upset and disappointed instead of the way you should feel when you leave. There was only 3 people in that day and everyone was upset. We were all mixed sex, ages and ethnicities I must also add. Nothing much I can do now but simply not go back. A generous 2 given. btw this wasn't my first time but I was desperate and thought I would give it another go as the style the first time was passable. Next time I will wait even if it means I stay inside.

The stylist was a very nice young lady but the moment she held the clippers I knew immediately that she was either very inexperienced or had no idea what to do. I didn't bother making a complain because she obviously did not have the skills to fix it. She held the scissors, clippers, and comb like it was a live snake. I was scared she might take my ears off. In the end my hair was crooked, uneven, and looked like I had a mushroom on my head. I went to First Choice Haircutters instead and they fixed my hair.

Took my son here to get his hair cut by larissa and she did amazing!! Not only am I extremely happy about it but he doesnt stop talking about how handsome she made him look. I myself have also gotten my hair cut and colored by her and she does amazing. She always makes sure you are comfortable and that she is doing exactly what you ask for.
