This Barber Shop is included in the category of Barber shop.
Satisfied with a good haircut and decent beard trim, but edges were cleaned up and neck shaved using a straight razor without any water or shave cream?! Horrible, painful razor burn on my neck and face, as reported by other reviewers. From out of town, so definitely not returning...
I go to the man cave every other week and allways get my hair cut by Martin, He allways remembers how i like my hair cut and allways does a 10/10 job and he also is a really nice guy to talk to and is very friendly. Ill keep comming back just because i enjoy being there and talking with my barber and my hair is allways done so well.
I've had my fair share of barber shops but this has to be by far the worst of them all. I provided a picture of how I wanted my hair cut and told them I mostly just wanted a slight trim on the sides. Instead she gave me a buzz cut and was rather rude. Definitely wouldn't recommend coming to this place for a cut.
I’ve been coming here for years and haven’t had more than one or two bad experiences. Most of the staff are friendly and reliable. The value vs the quality is definitely worth it.
Very efficient hair stylist. Walkins are allowed. But once you visit pls ask is it needed to check-in yourself at the front desk else you would be just waiting and they are not aware.
The fastest and best experience. My go to place from next time.
Sorry about that i did not go inside and having a hair cut.
23Cad inc tax for a normal haircut. Haircut was okay. Could have paid more attention to detail. On the whole was satisfied with the experience.
Good if you get the right barber.
I usually see the lady there, everyone is good open late hours which is good for me, and my kids love to wait there for me since they have iPads at the waiting area
Great cut and great price! Took no time at all
Couldn't cut my hair fast enough. Lucky it will grow back.
I love this place best place for my hubby and sons to get hair cuts
My boyfriend had the best experience at metrotown and Yaletown with John ???????? I always worry where he is going to be, cuz he works at two different places. I just wish he would stay at one spot.
I have been getting my haircut at this location for over 6 years now. David, Jhonny and Shall among all their other talented barbers are the best at what they do
Their reservation system is a complete failure. I’ve been coming here off and on for the last couple of years and learned pretty quick that Sam is the best. He truly is. But getting an appointment with him is apparently near impossible - even if you book it and are willing to wait. All thanks to their joke of a reservation system. I came in for a cut, saw it would be over an hour wait. They assured me it’s no problem “go enjoy the mall and we’ll text you.” So off I go, but figured after 45min I better go check to be safe. Still two people were ahead of me, ok not bad, so I wait by their waiting table right at the entrance. Another 15min goes by and my phone beeps. They’re ready. Cool. So I go to the desk and she looks at me surprised, says she gave my spot away because I wasn’t here and they messaged me 7min ago. I showed her my phone, the message had literally just arrived. She apologized, promised me I’d be next up to get a cut. Ok, fine, at this point I’m low on time, but it should work. Nope... in walks another guy asking for Sam, apparently they made a similar promise to him and suddenly he gets priority over me after I’ve waited at this point about an hour and a half for just a simple hair cut. So that’s that. Not only is the reservation system a joke, a complete waste of my time, but their front desk girl can’t even manage a scheduling blooper properly. Won’t be back... not ever.
Fast service, no small talk l, but in other barber shops a little less expensive you get your neckline shaved and powdered.
Barber was aggressive and seems they can only cut Western style, mean all the way up. No matter how you describe how you want your to hair looks like. If you want a complex or Korean hair style I wouldn’t recommend to come here.
Great place to get a cut. Efficient service and the bald guy who worked on a Sunday is really good. He was fast but it was still a really nice cut! Very good and no issues.
Man Cave Metrotown has the best barbers hands down, Farshad has been cutting my hair for nearly 16 years now and he's now cutting here. Shave, fade, trim, you name it, Farshad has got it covered. Probably one of the busiest places in BC - make an appointment so you don't have to wait long.
I come to this place me & my brother almost year it's good place until today we come me and my brother to get Eyebrow trims the front desk sent my brother to someone and he say sorry man I don't do that was polite than front desk ask one Woman she's sitting on the chair she's holding her coffee and she's making phone call she's just wave to my brother in her hand go I don't take you was so rude form her if you don't show customer respect how will come to Cave Man anymore I cut my hair almost year there I like it but one person he act like this with my brother it's really not nice today Cave man lost two Loyalty Customer they come almost year because of that.
My husband went there to get a haircut today. I have not seen a worse haircut in my entire life. The hairline in the back of his head was shaved to be 2 inches higher than his actual hairline, so it looks like he's wearing a swimming cap with right angles. This is unacceptable.
This was my first time going and I do not recommend this place to anyone. They had poor customer service plus the quality of the haircut wasn’t good at all. They rushed the haircut and wouldn’t listen to what I wanted the lady kept cutting me off. Left truly disappointed.
A hit-or-miss with this barbershop. You need to remember the names of those who do a good job at cutting your hair. Walk-ins miss the spot half the time.
Used to come here consistently until I found a local barber with far cheaper prices and a better cut. If you hair isn't styled like Ronaldo or Nemar you should go somewhere else because even for a basic trim you might be stuck with something undesirable for a month... I guess if you want something quick and the ease of getting a text when your spot in line is ready feel free to go here....
The perfect haircut is.....wake up in the morning and just go. Don't need to do anything with the hair. Lol
They do a fantastic job in disconnected hairstyles, which is hard to find these days. All the stylists are exceptional. Just be sure to tell them your preferences as they are not mind readers of what you like done specifically. Overall a good environment and better hair stylists.
If you want a travesty of an experience, come here. It starts with walking in and being told that the debit machine is down. Fine, there's an ATM around the corner but it costs $2.75 to withdraw. Then, I sit down and tell the barber what I'm looking for (a very easy buzz cut like look) and he starts. For every second he spends actually looking at my hair he spends 3 staring at people walking by, watching the TV, talking to other people and just generally not paying attention. Then he starts on the beard, asks me a question, I say yes and then he does the opposite, digging a big chunk directly out of my beard. I tell him that and he shrugs and says he'll blend it, but it really doesn't look the same and now I need to go somewhere else to fix it after my beard grows in. On top of that, my fade is uneven on each side, and my neckline is dirty. After that fiasco, I go to pay and suddenly the debit machine works! But the teller still wants cash. Hmm, wonder if it was even down? I don't know what happened to this location in the past few years but this is unacceptable. Go anywhere else for a better experience.
Could be a hit or a miss depending on who cuts your hair and how their mood is at that time. Can't go wrong with David though. He is the only consistent one.
I can't speak for any of the other barbers there - but Farshad gave me one of the best haircuts ever and I would go to him every time! He is one of the best
Go see my guy David for a fresh cut. Service is always on point and the cuts are always fresh. Sometimes there's a bit of a line but if you call ahead to see how many people are in front of you, you can avoid the wait.
Great cuts and a convenient location. The price is fair, but pricier then the average. They have TV's to watch and the aprons with the transparent part so you can go on your phone. It's usually not busy, longest wait I had was 5 min. I would recommend giving Man Cave a shot.
My hairstylist Nahla is a great stylist and friend. The other staff there are great too.
Been coming here for almost 4 years and have never been disappointed! I usually get my haircut from David; the line up to get a turn with him might be long but its definitely worth it. If David isn't there Evan and Jimmy are also really good! Definitely get my money's worth everytime
Great cuts by great barbers at a great price
There was a misunderstanding between my barber and me, although I don't entirely fault him. I wanted a regular haircut, but he gave me a comb-over. Well, this is what happened: my previous haircut was a comb-over, but I was finished with the style and wanted a simple "regular" cut. I showed the barber some photos, but it confused him and he told me he would "give [me] what [I] had before". By "before", I thought he was referring to my photos. But he was referring to the old comb-over he saw in my hair. I didn't realize until it was too late. See, not entirely his fault, not entirely mine. But.. ehh. This was my experience.
I was hesitant to get my haircut here again as I've had bad experiences previously. My service today was the absolute worst! Evan treated with such disinterest and rushed me out in 10 minutes. She seemed annoyed to take my direction. No attention to detail when it came to my edges and cleaning up the sides. I feel like i just burnt $25 today.
It seems a professional place but, oh boy, don't waste your time here. Absolutely the worst haircut I ever had, my hair is all uneven. It was my fault for thinking that a cheap price would turn out in good results though, but I seriously never expected the low quality because of the looks of the place. I asked for a fade, which I didn't get, I asked for shorter hair and the barber didn't even cared about it. My haircut took him literally like 10 minutes. He was using his phone while cutting my hair! Awful trimming, awful attitude from the barber, awful place. Please stay away.
The only good thing about this haircut is that it will grow out. I went in with several pictures on my phone and described what I wanted. Not short. Medium length and a messy look. The barber said "I'll give you something better". I said no, I want this hair cut. The barber then took some clippers and gave me a brush cut. Then he had the nerve to argue that what he did looked just like the photo. If you want to look like G.I. Joe than the Man Cave is for you. If you want something current, fashionable, and stylish, STAY AWAY. If I could give them zero stars I would. It's not even a good brush cut.
Ambience is awesome and friendly staffs too. A quick neat cut from these guys after a long day from work and grocery shopping at superstore. Keep it up!
Ramses is the best there, no offence to anyone else. His style of styling is very trendy and we'll thought out. Fantastic at his job, he's my go to when I get a cut these days!
This is not a barber shop, this is a factory for haircuts. I went there for the first time and must admit that I didn't have to wait at all. I was called immediately and the hair dresser started to do his job on me. The problem is that he did a poor job. Never in my life I had such a fast haircut and this is definitely not a good thing, just show you the carelessness of the staff. A 10 minutes haircut can never end well, and that is exactly what I got. The hairdresser was not friendly, didn't even try to make an effort for a small-talk. Bottom line - my first and last time.
This is my favorite place to get a haircut or shave. The people that work there are very good at what they do. They are friendly professional about their work and get things done in a reasonable amount of time. When I feel like spoiling myself I will get a shave as well. I go to this Barber Shop almost exclusively. I like the atmosphere and the vibe of the place and appreciates the focus of the business. I return to this place often and have suggested it to friends. It really is a good place to get a shave to get a haircut and enjoy a moment to One's self
Went in today for the first time, Sal gave me an amazing haircut. I will be going back to this guy
Several talented hair stylist, who are friendly and does a good cut. Service does not perform pre wash. I usually get Sal to cut my hair, he's quite decent with his cuts. There's a couple other named stylist who are good. Forgot their names. It's convenient to have a computer in the front for people to check in their names and who they want as their hair stylist. Average cut time is 15mins.
Went to get a skin fade from Farshad (farthest chair on the left side) and was very satisfied.
My experience was amazing. I was doing a blog on my Movember campaign and the guys stepped up big time. Shaved me nice and smooth, videoed the whole thing and then sat down for an interview and were very well informed and well spoken. I will tell anybody that asks to head over to Metrotown and the Man Cave.
Great bunch of hair stylists pricing is reasonable
I know it's hard to find a good barber nowadays. I have struggled for a long time until I met Jimmy. He listened to what I wanted and even helped me fix the mistakes from the previous barber I visited. I have been seeing him for a year now and will always be coming back here.
I had my cut with Moh, and he was awesome. He spent the time to do a proper skin fade. He was very detailed and made sure I left happy with my haircut.
I got my first haircut from them after quarantine. No appointments, no letting them know ahead, I was heading to Superstore like 2 weeks ago and saw them open. Asked if they took walk-ins, they sure did. They asked me if I had a mask, I didn't, they were happy to provide one for like a buck or two. A nice elderly lady asked me how I wanted my hair, I showed her what my hair was like before and asked her to do what she felt best as with the length my hair had reached over 4-5 months, I was open to trying different styles. Now I am not the kind who likes to make conversations while getting my hair cut, she sensed it right away and respected my silence. 10 minutes later, it was an amazing job and it looked really good. I did want to go a little shorter afterwards and she made it just right without any hesitation. My experience has been great and would definitely return when I am ready to get a nice shape-up once again.
Appreciated being helped right away after they opened. Awesome haircut by Johnny, with great suggestions; it’s hard to find someone who cuts my curly hair the way I like!
They know how to straight blade a beard like the olden days great job boys
Always a good cut. Lots of talent in here. They are current with styles and have a solid foundation of barber history. Hot shaved, tinting, designs these guys do it all. My son is 11 and he gets cut here. We have literally rarely ever seen the same barber twice. I tell you every time he gets a great cut! Every time it also has the barbers own signature of style. Thanks man cave!
Absolutely terrible stylist. Walked in with beautiful thick curtly hair and asked for the sides and top to be evened out and she took off nearly all my hair. Needless to say I’ll be wearing a toque for the next 6 months, absolutely infuriating. They then had the audacity to tell me I had “the wrong hair type” even after I showed them pictures. Terrible barbers would not recommend.
DON’T GO HERE I had a hair cut today and it was the worst haircut I got in my whole life! I showed the guy a picture of the style I want and it looks nothing like it!!!
So I am in need of a haircut before my trip to Mexico, you know gonna look fresh right? Ahahha nope. I walk in and it's packed but surprisingly I got in within a few minutes. A bald gentleman seats me and asks what I would like my cut to be. I say very clearly I wish to have the sides faded a 1 to a 2 and 3/4 of an inch off the top, but he was barely paying attention. The sides went smoothly but when it got to the top, oh boy did everything go wrong. The man essentially just grabs all my hair by the comb and doesnt even mesure the correct amount. He just cuts off a wad of hair, which by the way must have been at least an inch and a half. Furthermore he was super aggressive and left my skin quite red. He basically cuts my hair in 5 minutes, and says bye bye. I am very dissatisfied with the quality of the haircut I received.
Good service. Asom askins fade. Professional work.
Management changes? This place used to deliver quality haircuts..now it's about quantity. I had a barber who spent less than 10 minutes cutting my hair I was amazed but the quality of work done to my hair feels like it should be $10 not $20($25 including tip)..
Want a haircut here? think again...... I've only stumbled across this because I saw lineups before (Edit:a few months back as there were lineups, and never tried it until the most recently). I will never come back for a haircut EVER. Why? Because they are the worst barber shop I've even been in my 26yrs of existence. So lets start off with this. Upon arrival I didnt see anyone there (Friday at around 1p) so i decided to walk in. Right away I was NOT greeted by the staff at front desk. I started looking at their check-in ipad. Shortly she noticed me and told me to go to the second chair to the right. So I went all the way to the bottom right because the second right from the front was full of hair, and I didn't expect it to be that seat. So she told me I was in the wrong seat, so I've moved over to the "hair-y seat" and sat down. Then came the stylist, he asked me how I was and that pretty much it, end of conversation, I started some small talk but the stylist seem to want to get rid of me as fast of possible. Anyways I ended up telling him how I would like my hair dressed (I go for the fade and short on the top) So then instantly he took the shaver and just started shaving my head at the lowest setting(i did as for short, so that isnt his problem) but then what surprised me is he just shaved my head straight up, in my understanding this is not a fade haircut, but rather a buzz cut. Regardless, I asked him to trim the top. It ended up looking uneven, after he looked like he appears done, he insisted it is even, but i can clearly see it is not and i pointed it out to him. So he then attempted to even it and said its normal for it to be stuck out like that. At the end I just let him to whatever, because there is not point of me saying anything because he is just going to say "its supposed to be like that" I paid and left with buzzed sides and random ditches in my head. TDLR; save the $21+tax and tips, haircut fade looked like buzzed side with bits chewed off the top by a dog, NEVER recommend. Save your money and just go to another place (im glad that my hair grows out pretty fast, so my hideous haircut will only last for 3 weeks) Update: They ask you to email their management team. So I did, as there are some things i didnt want to address on the review. Its been 48hrs+ and they dont reply. Kind of make me feel like they ask you to email them only for show. There is also multiple recent post that state the barber doesnt know what they are doing and just buzz your hair and completely oblivious on the instruction on how you want to cut it Management got back to me after 3 days of the email. He offered me refund and/or fix my hair. However, i did not take the offer, and asked for more training to the staff.
Very organized and well known barbers.
Showed the woman who cut my hair a picture of the hair I wanted and I got the aliexpress version but worse. She had the skill of a ten year old who can’t colour within the lines left a gap in the “fade” she gave me which is uneven. I asked her to line me up she “lined” me up alright...... take that back she didn’t. It was a solid 1 out of 10 save your money and go somewhere else cuz this place is trash.
Worst cut ever, the lady rushed and I was done in 10 minutes. I asked her for a fade which she didn't do . And the lines are too wide and crooked. the other barbers seemed to take their time and do things properly
Pleasant staff and excellent hair cuts.
Always get a decent cut in here. The guys work fast and are friendly. Sometimes there can be quite a long wait to be seen.
Been there a few times, I used to go there mainly because it was close to where I used to live at Metrotown in some occasions I got a decent haircut but unfortunately last time I went there one guy just made a gross mistake cutting a wide patch in the front part of my hair making a visible "hole" which later I examined carefully just to realize how gross the mistake was. I don't remember a time that I've been more pissed off with a haircut than this time, definitely not coming back
I SHOULD have heeded Mathieu Carrier's review on this page. It says a lot when most the 5-star ratings don't have profile pictures and the 1-stars do. If I can set no stars I would have. Did not have a problem with the debit machine or anything. The receptionist and their barber were just plain rude. For 20 bucks + tax, I expected better service. I asked for a crew cut but the barber said you don't have a crew cut and started with the clippers. I ended up with unfaded hair cut. The reason people go to barbers is that we expect professional work not a factory job. I just left, subjecting myself to anymore and I would have flipped. At least their true to their name MAN - CAVE. More cave than man though.
As you can see by my picture, not exactly hard to do my hair ???? Had a quick Buzz cut and very nice talk with a old-fashioned Barber. But I rather take my razor blade & shaving gel and do it myself
Guy from pak did a terrible job on my hair, I asked for a 1 trim and he gave me a 0. To say i didnt tip and i would highly recommend no one to him. Other people did an ok job.
Highly recommended good price for men's hair cuts
My haircut needs are very basic, just trim an inch or two everywhere, that's it. Curly hair is pretty forgiving in terms of unevenness and mistakes. I like this place because it's easy to get in, no appointment needed and usually the wait time is short.
this place messed me up good. If you wanna get a cut that you didn't ask for this is definitely the place for you
Fast service.. just make sure to bring a photo of the haircut for reference
Told them what I wanted... even showed them a picture. They did something else. Don't go. Maybe shaving they are good but don't know as I've never had a shave there.
Perfect experience, specially with Farshad. Such a good barber
Horrible place, rude barbers, cookie cutter haircut. The place operates with the business model “quantity > quality”, everything is rushed, and the barber cuts your hair like there is no tomorrow. Will never suggest anyone to visit this place.. unless you want to pay money that good haircut costs but get a bad one.
If you ever come here, ask for Ahmad. He's definitely the best barber at this shop, and i'm sure his other customers would agree. He is very approachable and friendly, and is very detail-oriented. He takes his time for each section of the cut, and the mid-skin fade that I got last week was one of the best I've gotten in this area. High regards to Ahmad, and I will definitely be coming back soon to get my next cut from him.
Superb and excellent hair stylist (Moe) he does great job....but customer service sucks... not white girl.. I really don’t wanna see that Asian girl on customer service.. need someone on customer service not showing racism tnx...
Nice staff, barbers are usually fast and very friendly, I can always count on them to make me look good. It's $20 for a haircut, my friends tell me that's expensive and it might be but at Mancave Barber, you are in really good company. I've recommend Mancave Barber to many friends, especially when they're looking for something particularly nice.
I use to go to the man cave at central city mall and was great, so when I moved closer to to metrotown, I decided to go this one and I regret it.... The barber didn't even ask for my name and didn't tell me his for starters, which was weird to me because at the other location, they always do this, secondly, he took only 20 min or so when the usually take around 45 to 50 min with my haircut, and when he was done, he left me one side uneven, the fade looks weird and does even look like a fade, my sideburns are un even as hell, and in general, it looks awful. Not coming back to this location. I gave a picture and a GIF of how I wanted my hair done. Now I have to spend more money on another barber to fix it.
Went there tonight to get my sides done and keep the top long Was going good until the end where the barber decided to chop off the back of my hair and left an ugly undercut look in the back. Not happy at all Didn’t notice it until I got home and washed out the gel he applied to my hair.
Edit: I've had 3 haircuts here. The 1st one was fabulous. The second one was awful. And the 3rd was also fabulous. Definitely depends on the hairdresser. Pro tip: Find one you like and stick with them.
Very average, definitely felt rushed throughout the whole experience from signing in to cutting hair. Did not really feel like the barber cared about what the person wanted, looked at the picture that I showed him for less than 5 seconds.
I've been getting my cuts by David for over 2 years now. I can't speak for the other barbers as I only coordinate with his hours, but David is A+ quality. Always tries his best to remember how you like your hair cut, the conversation is always pleasant, and he does a great job checking in throughout the cut to make sure you are happy with it. He also does some sick creative designs too. I've never felt rushed even at times when they've been packed, or if he's in the middle of something, he'll give you an apology as a heads up. I can't imagine switching barbers anytime soon.
The place looks fancy from the outside .. went to have my hair cut today .. it was my 1st time in that place and it ll be my last time .. the barber is just In a hurry and doesn’t know how to deal with human beings .. for a while I though he is treating my head as a ball pushing it in every direction.. I went in with big hair and went out with big hair minus a little bit .. the barber got upset when I asked him to cut a bit more and when he did he just made it look very pumps and in organized .. for my beard he probably was even more in a hurry that it is not aligned or still long. I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone and it is really avoid going place
Best haircut I've gotten in years! I would recommend Farshad. I have thin hair and quite a bit of visible scalp and he made sure not to make it even more visible. Just when I had given up on having good looking hair!
Good place, good people, good atmosphere here. Sal is the best barber. Was a long line and I went to Athens barber shop and got the worst haircut in my life from Lady barber. So stick to man cave ????
Get a cut/shave from one of the guys working there. You won't be disappointed.
My only place I go to, Ieahsa is the bomb.
Excellent hair cut place for men...At reasonable pricing. High fade was nicely done.
I had my haircut with Sal. I was concerned my haircut would be too "current." Sal confirmed I wanted a 'classic business cut' with me and then gave me a better haircut than I expected. He was fast, chatted pleasantly, and confirmed details with me as we proceeded. A good experience, and a fine haircut.
????????????????????????????????Very good people @Man Cave Barber Shop Located @MetroTown mall Ground Floor (specially Nahla)my barber’s Lady
Had my hair cuts from Ramses for awhile now. Very personable and good cuts every time. He does a great job of asking questions during the cut to ensure you are getting exactly what you want. Will keep going back due to the great cut and service.
If Ronsey was still there I’d give a 5 star.
Jimmy is good here
It’s a great place with affordable prices. Ask for Sam, he’s really good. Definitely going there again.
Fast service. Great staff very accommodating and friendly. My haircut was just as I asked for.
Nobody put effort, no help. Asked for a cut on the top and barber said No leave it, it looks good. Also looking at their phone twice for the time, trying to maybe rush out for break.
Fantastic place with great staff. I drive 45 minutes to see David. Hes fantastic and a pleasure to talk to. Highly recommended.
The man cave is a terrible place to get your haircut. The person cutting my hair left many spots and nicks in my head. He said he was amazing at doing fades but on my head he went way too high and it looks like a froe back in 2008. Do yourself a favour and don't waste your money going to this place.
Fantastic service! Very professional staff.
While using clippers, my guy cut me a couple times on the back of the head and neck. I could do better by myself. I had 1 good experience here my first time, but after 2 bad ones I am looking elsewhere.
I always enjoy a fast hair cut here. All the stylists here are friendly and efficient. Superstore is just adjacent , super convenient to stop by for some groceries.
I’m very happy with this shop. Very nice customer service and professional guys working in there!
I sign into their system and am told I will receive a text when they're ready for me. Great. I wander around the mall for an hour and hear nothing from them, so I go to ask what's going on. Spend 15 minutes trying to get someone to talk to me (they don't have a receptionist, and none of the hair stylists will give me more than 2 words). Apparently the manager just deleted my appointment. Claims he messaged me (they didn't). Even the manager wouldn't really talk to me or provide any real customer service.Tells me to sign in again and go to the back of the line. Suffice to say I didn't bother. No customer service. Mediocre hair stylists. Take your money elsewhere.
This is a nice barber shop but as a men (and I speak for others) they should have some girls cutting hair. You know what I mean.
I have had hair cut with some of the guys. They all are very professional and nice people, but I recently had hear cut with the guy on the third chair. He looked like he had a problem. So in rush and rude. Absolutely zero manner and professionalism.
Kayleigh the beautiful girl at the front was very really personable and help me find everything I'm needed for my boyfriend. She was amazing. I'll definitely bring my man back
I’ve been coming to mancave for years now and have zero complaints whatsoever. Moe is my go to barber. He’s a great guy and gives awesome cuts!
My barber cut my ear within the first 10 seconds and didn't even apologize. Pretty unprofessional and unskilled.
Edited** I think it's great that David from the Man Cave is reviewing the comments for their shop and giving his feedback. I want to add that the three times I've taken my son there it was more of a hit than miss. The stylists are very good at what they do. Which speaks for itself in it's popularity. Quick but not cheap for a kids cut. It's $20 I believe, could be even $21. There is always a lineup but it goes by quickly. Pretty decent cuts/styles. The first time we went they cut a line to part his hair and the line was crooked. Hit and miss, I guess
My first time here and when I asked for a fade, the barber gave me a normal buzz cut and made no effort to give me the skin fade that i was looking for. I am very disappointed because i expect every barber here to know how to do a proper fade. It looks like this salon is only good for location but does not care about quality fades because the skill does not reflect in the work.
Barber did not listen to what i asked for..ended up having to shave my head wen i got home ..not impressed one bit!! :(
Horrible place for the pricing. I’d suggest staying away.
FIRST THING FIRST! If you are a new comer, DONT COME HERE!....Today was the first time I went in (metrotown store), told them I don't have a specific barber to go with so they placed me with a guy (who's name shall remain nameless for professional reasons), I even showed him a picture of the hairstyle I wanted to have, and 5 mins into the cutting I realized I made a big mistake of going there. The guy seemed fresh and the final cut he gave me is WAAAAYYY too short and absolutely unlike what I asked for. Of course the cut is $35!!! I used to go to a different place and it only cost $15 and it does a better job then the guy who cut my hair! Thought I would give this ManCave a try but guess I was wrong. DEFINITELY NOT GOING BACK AGAIN!
Wasnt a good customer experience, haircut was rushed due to it being busy and ended up with an uneven choppy hair at the front, no interaction was made during haircut
I am very picky in terms of salon or barbershop. Man cave staff and barbers are amazingly friendly and I always like my haircut every time I visit there
Really nice and quick. Relatively cheap too.
When in Metropolis, sure try this "Barbers & Stylists" shop if want a "professional looking" haircut.
Farshad was really professional and courteous.
Got worst haircut of my life. Rude barber
Kind of overpriced. Also, do not fully listen to instructions and go off on their own.
Excellent hairstylists and very friendly to chat with. Prompt and expedient service for walk in appointments. Well priced for the value of the haircut.
The guy named David messed up my hair. I dont why he is in hurry doing haircuts. I donot recommend metropolis location(Man cave). All they are doing is cutting hair in 5-7 mins and charging $24. Never go to man cave if you love your hair. Go to your local barber shop, at least they will spend time on your hair and will not mess it up. (Stay away from David Barber)
I have to admit that I am pretty pick when it comes to my hair so I was a bit afraid to try this place at first but I am glad I tried , I had a hair cut with Farshad and he was super friendly and listened well to the idea I had for my hair cut and in the end was really great :) I will be a regular costumer from now one and I believe you should also give a try ????
Very accommodating professional and clean. Dave my barber is hands down the best in the business.
I have been going here specifically for a Baber called Ahmad. He has cut my hair several times now. And leaves me satisfied always. When you are paying twenty dollars and up for a hair cut you are probably expecting exactly what you want and he has delivered that for me every time. I hope this review helps!
Worst hot towel shave every. The barber rushed the shave, I ask just for a line up and keep the frame. He did what he felt was better. It took months to get my beard at a length I was happy at, left there looking and feeling like a clown.. NEVER GOING BACK!
Amazing hair dresser and did excellent service
First time there and was really pleased. Good location, clean and friendly. They got flat screens everywhere so you can catch some sports while getting your cut. I got Martin to cut my hair and he seemed very friendly as wells as skilful at what he was doing. On top of that, the prices are not bad. $17 for a haircut is very reasonable. Will definitely go again.
I did not like my haircut; tala couldn’t level it correctly and now I have a cowlick.
Just got my haircut an hour ago been going there and the people are friendly. This chinese guy makes a nice haircut and he makes it perfect. I get a fade and its awesome.
Meh haircut, cutter was meh
Tala is my favourite
I went in on Sunday for a cut, and it ended up that while I was at home I realized it just wasn't right... some attention to detail had been missed. I called and was booked to go back in the next day, which is when I met Farshad. This guy is the best! Not only did he fix the issues, but it was the little extras and the attention to detail that made it way better. Finally, I have found my barber!
If you want the best hair cut then Simon is the best barber in Mancave. He is skilled, experienced and fashionable.
Worst customer service ever and so overpriced
Fast, walk-in hair cuts for my son. Like it
The great technical skill a barber or stylist can possess is their ability to listen, and that's what I've seen here at this place. My first haircut was just a random walk-in and FARSHAD really had it all! It has always been a great experiencing visiting and getting a haircut from him. He is certainly the best of all and gives a really satisfying haircut, following every inch of the protocol that is to be followed to help the customers and following every detail while working, during this pandemic. A great experience!
Good customer service, staff do good job at following Covid guidelines
since my first visit 3 yrs ago, i only go here, best service in town.
One of the best haircuts I've gotten. Pretty busy place sometimes a bit of a wait. But once you're in the chair, it's fast.
Nice saloon. Got a great haircut
Everyone here is pretty good, but our personal favorites are Sam, Johnny and Ahmed, especially if you like the skin fade clean cut look. When they get really busy, I just get who ever is available to cut my son's hair, and I've never been disappointed.
Loved it. Went in with a chopped bad haircut from previous barber and the lady who I went with fixed it even though I had very short hair. !!
On that time I had a issue, now you have a wonderful service.
I first came here maybe 2017 with average haircuts. Nothing amazing but wouldn't call it bad. Maybe my 5th visit I got seated with Sam. Been going to the barber Sam for almost 2 years now. He is definitely worth the price and the wait especially if your looking for a skin fade haircut. I dont mind waiting 30-60 mins especially cause I usually do other stuff at the mall. Great place!
Great management and service even though it is a long wait sometimes. All barbers are professional and the shop is clean. Nice technology used in the shop and great locations. Reasonable price for a really clean and professional cut. I would highly recommend people to go here for a nice fade at any location.
After a 5 minute lecture from the barber about me not knowing how my hair works she then proceeds to ignore what I want. I asked for a slight fade around that goes into a blend to the top. Not too short, and then have the top of my hair thinned and trimmed. I now have a Mohawk. She shaved the sides of my head with an electric razor and then got distracted and didn't even touch the top of my head. The whole hair cut was such a uneasy awkward experience. During I told her that this isn't what I wanted, from which she responded that, this is how I should cut my hair becuase of how it grows. I know how my hair grows, I've been living with it for 21 years. I have never experienced such an awkward and unprofessional haircut from a barbershop. I was very uncomfortable. Great reception staff, barbers need to pull their head in.
Nice haircut for men also customer's service is good and very clean environment
I've been coming here for over 3years now since moving from Toronto. There's is an excellent and friendly staff who not only take care of me but also everyone I recommend them to. I've been getting my fades done by Moh recently and he makes me look fresh for every occasion every time . Respect.
Didn’t even clean the hair from my face, top hair weren't trimmed properly and the still have hairs on back of my neck. I specifically showed the picture about what i wanted but he gave me different haircut. Still it would have been fine but he asked me about what length i wanted and i told him then also one side of the hair was trimmed to what i said and other side has longer hair. At the time he used hair gel to set the hair and they looked fine as i wanted but after the wash i dont like it. Heard great reviews but very disappointed. Would prefer back my old barber. Also when i showed him the picture of the haircut i wanted he said he cant do it as my hair were thick but i told him that i was getting that same haircut for a long time but still he did the different. He couldn’t even give a simple haircut. This is the worst haircut i can get this haircut from those 6$ shops they could have done the better job than this.
I got what I wanted! Will definitely go back again.
Went in. First time getting a cut here. Rly good. clean fade ????
Good location but for the price I can get a better haircut somewhere else, it seems like they just want to finish every client as fast as they can.
Very good barbers, friendly environment. I'd not had a better cut in a long time.
This one guy named Bobby cuts hair to a perfection! I had one bad experience with another barber though who didn't really seem like he was even trying. At the end of the day the cuts are pretty expensive, but if you get the cut by Bobby you get the full package.
I had a friend who came here the other day for a little trim and some thinning for his hair (mind you, he had a thick and puffy straight hair), he ended up getting his hair shortened up too much with overdone thinning. The back of his head was shaved too much, making it look patched and uneven compared to his sides. This was all done by a woman who took too long on the process of his hair, she might have been new to the job but who knows. The lady also seemed clumsy too, always dropping stuff and made a mess all over.
Can anyone in the mainland cut hair? I been to many barber shops around and every time they never listen, bold guy first chair to the right, don’t let him cut your hair. I asked to be both sides even ... anyone else see it ? Because I don’t!!!
Mr. Farshad he's an awesome barber
Very nice cuts at this place. I love the decoration and atmosphere here as well. May be my new favorite barber shop.
Farshad is my go to guy. Has been for a number of years now.
I decided to get a quick hair cut during my lunch break. Oscar was able to take me within about 5 minutes and do a great job in a short amount of time at a reasonable price. I will be back.
Best place to get a haircut. I've been a loyal customer to Farshad he cuts my hair perfectly.
Ats is very good barbers and very nice team the manager he is doing good job with the client
It's fast and good guys
Great cuts by james. Ask for james!! He's so chill and give the best cuts.
Its OK. I didn't want to spend 40 bucks on a haircut. It was $22. I'd call that a win I suppose.
I've been seeing Farshad for almost a years. who knows what he is doing without hesitation. I love my experience every time I go to Man Cave.
I get a same haircut all the time and these guys deliver. I prefer when Dave is there or Eddy as they are the best but never really had anything to complain about. Fair price, there are sports on the screen. So for me this place is solid all around. Dave and Edyy Id give 5/5 rest a 4/5.
Awesome place, came in here looking for a haircut one day and haven't stopped going!
Walked in for the first time, luckily without it being too busy and immediately got to sit in Johnny's chair. What a great experience! He asked me what I was looking for and started going to work immediately. Periodically throughout the haircut, he combed something out or quickly showed me an example and asked to keep, or cut. Before I knew it, I was done and looking great. Thanks for a great experience everyone at the Man Cave. PS - Thursday evening wasn't crowded.
Great place to make u a stylish one. Nice service and reasonably priced
I went in for a medium fade and came out with a full buzz cut on three sides. By far worst haircut I’ve ever received. I’m not sure the name of the stylist, but she was middle aged middle eastern and had broken English. I even brought in a picture. Don’t waste your money! If I could give zero stars I would.
Went for a regular haircut came out without the shitiest haircut ever ronsi shitiest barber ever
Always busy but they do good job i like the decoration
My bf got his haircut on a Monday night. Altought it was pretty busy he didn't have to wait for long. Farshal was awesome and did a great job!
Marveen is the best barber our there
I never go barber shops as I bought 2 hair cutter machines. I always cut mine, I heard they are busy, i guess they must of doing something good
This was my first time there.I was happy to find I was able to buy a mask there as I didn’t have one with me. Sam was my stylist. He was very professional and took the time to understand my style preferences. I got an amazing haircut and will definitely going back.
David attended me very well..stafff is very frndly..i got a nice cut ????????????
Sal is the best barber I've had the pleasure of meeting in 15 years! Excellent service, Excellent hair cut! 13/10!
Great service, awesome hair cuts.
Was there today for the beard trim and women over there just ruined my trim. One would laugh if I show you the pictures. Never ever coming again or recommending any one to go. Guys keep professionals who atleast know their work. Very unprofessional experience. Highly not recommended.
I come here every time and get my hair by ihab honestly have been looking for a barber for so long and finally found a person that cuts my hair right he is amazing thanks Ihab
Great place, been coming here for months now. Ayesha has been amazing, can go there with the confidence that I'll come out with a good cut. Prices are decent at $25/haircut (for a shop accessible by transit, part of a huge mall), waiting isn't too bad since you check in and they message you when your slot opens up. Highly recommended.
I really did not get great service here. The iPad sign in feels a bit impersonal considering there's someone just sitting at the front giving their best hundred mile stare. Do not go with the barber fifth seat on the left side of the shop. He did a bare minimum cut at best and kept complaining about his job. It felt like he preferred to talk with the other barbers then checking in on how I felt about the haircut too. No clean up/brush off of hair when he was done either so I was covered in hair when I left. When I got home my partner told me that the back of my head was uneven too and had to fix it. I'm not too sure if I'd come back or if I'd recommend this place.
Great hair cut for a good price.
I walked in a few days ago, and my usual barber wasn't there, so I went for somebody else whom I haven't met or known at the time. And his name's Ahmed. This was my first time getting cut from him, and I really loved what he did! I usually go for 3 lines on the side of my head, but he suggested different. I got hesitant, but I trusted him, and I left with 0 REGRETS! I highly recommend him regardless if it's your first time or not. Keep it up man!
Friendly barbershop and decent cuts
They overcharge you most of the time but they have a really good barbers! You have to be careful with the administration at front! They wanted to charge me $26 just for beard trimming and cleaning up. Not even a haircut! Just because they didn’t have customers on Sat, so they wanted to cover the costs up by taking advantage of others!
amazing fast and sharp edges. the barber was excellent. no appointment time but just check in and get a nice proffessional cut and beard trim.
Service was really bad. They don't even clean the equipments after hair cut. Staff is really unmannered one lady with white hair she was really rude. Never gonna go here again. The guy Sam was really in hurry. I almost paid 55$ for my haircut. it's wastage of money.
First time having a hair cut here. The shop design makes it seem like I’d get a good service and professional haircut but it turned out that only 3 questions were asked for my preferences I asked for just a little skin fade on the sides and I received a huge freaking shave on the sides, then the barber had to fade higher because he didn’t separate the long hair for my bun and the fade with a fine line, and told me that it’s the way it is and there cannot be a fine line if the fade is low. I’d grew my hair for more than a year before I had this hair cut here and the barber totally demolished the style that I wanted. And the $30 haircut is only worth $10 for sure.
Phenomenal service, great prices and fantastic haircut......definitely returning again and avian!!
The Man Cave is a great place to cut your hair. Aesthetically pleasing, great staff. I always go to Ahmed, he's great. He knows what I want and never disappoints.
Nice and professional staff. Will come back for sure!
Just walked in a bit ago. Got pretty good haircut. I guess it gets quite busy. Not much of a wait today. I would go back again.
This is my new barber shop. I used to go to super expensive places, I've been to cheap places. The only thing that ultimately mattered was the individual barbers. I found farshad and haven't looked back, what started as a quick cut due to convenience turned into a bi weekly occurrence. Apparently I'm not the only one because he's always got customers in line for him.
If you need pro for your hair cut!
Farshad is consistent in doing a great haircut!
This barber shop is great. They're super efficient and do a good job. THIS IS NOT A HAIRDRESSER. So if you've got long hair and want a full cut and dye and blow out this isn't the place for you. If you're looking for a good trim, cleanup shave, or short cut this is what you're looking for. I've also heard they do a nice beard trim.
Very poor service I had a bad experience in metro town branch she just cut my hair just any how. I'm very disappointed! She's in a hurry she doesn't even ask anything. She on a 3rd seat from the counter August 02, 2021. At 4:15pm
Got a sick cut from Sal this Monday. Super happy with it. Definitely check him out!
Shall is the go to person for best haircut and Threading. Very friendly and suggestive.
Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Sal is great, awesome fade and exactly what I wanted!
Good as far as barbershop goes. It's a rare sighting to see a barbershop.
Nice haircut by Romy
My fiancé's go-to spot for a quick, decent cut whenever he's in a bind for time!
It's really really bad customer service the didn't have a good stuff .
Ramses! If you're looking for a guy who takes his time on your fade and really cleans you up really well he's your guy! Every time I go see him he never fails to impress. Check him out, he wont disappoint!
These guys always do a great job on my husband's hair. They have experience with thick hair types.
Fast and efficient service, price is a bit higher than average.
First barber experience with them was great i got the perfect cut and was super satisfied. But the second time i went to them today the guy gave me super bad razor burn on my neck and even cut me pretty badly as well. As well as the cut i received wasn't exactly what i asked for.
They have adapted themselves pretty well
first time, rushed, in and out in 5 minutes, never going back. My bangs were completely ruined and I literally showed my hairdresser a picture of me a year ago of how I wanted my hair. Seems like they only like to do fades so that's what I got, FYI I didn't have a fade. Even the fades themselves don't transition smoothly.
My friends recomended this place to me. I Just got a haircut and I’m impressed with Farshad’s work. Staff are friendly and also they play my type of music so thats a plus. ????????
Short line to get in. Good quick haircut. Good service.
I randomly happened to come across this barbar shop in metrotown. Made an appointment with David and was able to see him promptly. David was able to give me some solid advice about my hair. He worked diligently on my hair, ever so often asking permission about the length, sides, and back. I came out of Man Cave with one of the sickest fades I've ever got. Really impressed with the staff, atmosphere, and David's work. Keep it up guys!
ok and getting better
I've been coming here consistently for a couple of years now and I come out with a great cut every time. Service is nice and quick and the barbers are all friendly. I always ask for Martin but, honestly, I'd trust anyone in the shop to cut my hair. Highly recommended.
Good service and atmosphere by the cpl of ppl who have cut my hair. my favs is Farshad , noor is also good
Best in town for men. Reasonably priced too. Cannot do appointments though.
don't get a cut from Oscar. He does not listen to instructions. Mid fade 1 and a half. NOT AN UNDERCUT AT 0 literally shaved most of my head. Worst haircut in my life.
Great place to get a fresh haircut, the staff is super friendly
Really good barbers there, my first 2 times there were really good. But this time (the 3rd) it was horrible. I didnt get what i wanted. I recomend any of the men barbers there. The lady barbers there are horrible.
Fast and good.
One of the stylists (a middle-aged woman who was cuts hair in the corner) saw customers come in and rolled her eyes in front of us and walked away like she was doing us a favor by being there.
Not a good cut. Went to different barber and he was a bit shocked
Great place with amazing staff. Finally, I know where to go for my hair cuts. Farshad is specifically great and professional. I would really recommend him for sure. ????
Great place, great name.
I am so disappointed with my haircut recently. I told the barber to make it faded but it turns out as mohawk. I just waste my $25 dollars. I'm a loyal customer of this barbershop but I think now i changed my mind.
Mediocre Staff but the Girl at the Front was Very arrogant and busy talking to her mates who came to visit her. She maid us pay for the service before hand and the barber did the job like he was in a real rush to finish although we paid him a good gratuity even before the haircut. Customer service needs to be improved and staff needs to be trained.
Honestly my favorite place to go for a haircut. Service is fast and great, friendly barbers and they have good style when in comes to haircuts. Everyone practices masks and distancing too
Sharp and quick, had Vinos and he took care me like a pro! Thanks!
I just went to man cave and i got the worst haircut from jimmy,,Jimmy needs to go back to school and i payed 27.00 it's bullshit!! If anyone wants a awesome haircut go to uptown barber shop!!
Excellent service ;)
Awful customer service and no time management,
Had the worst haircut of my life. It was by a middle aged woman, I don't know her name. It looked like she had no experince whatsoever. Her only goal was to cut hair evenly regardless of the hairstyle that a person wanted. But she didnt even do that right! She gave me a bald patch!! Now I have to pay more money to get this fixed from somewhere else. This is unbelievable
I come here often and the majority of the barbers are good, but sometimes you get someone that doesn't know what they are doing. They are a bit rushed too
Awesome haircut, I'm a black dude with very tough hair. I was first seated with a barber who didnt know how to cut my type of hair so instead messing up my haircut he switched me to someone, ask for David
I had Bobby last Sunday. He was absolutely phenomenal!! I have never been so satisfied with a haircut in my life. The best part was it was only $20. I tipped him 3x more than I usually would because I really feel like he deserves it. The experience felt very personal. He sat down, listened to what I wanted and confirmed everything. He then took some time to analyze my hair, and really get to know how to work with it. I have thick and frizzy hair, and most hairdressers go into it without thinking. Bobby did a great job and I walked out of the place feeling amazing. I asked him, and he says he works Sunday-Thursday. I am DEFINITELY going back for him!! If you ever go here, ask for Bobby!!
Seriously, listen to the bad reviews and stay away from this place. Their website claims they'll give you a 'cutting edge haircut' from one of their 'stylists'. What a goddamn joke. The lady who cut my hair seemed like she had no idea how cut a fashionable haircut. She didn't even bother use a pair of scissors. I told her I wanted to grow out my sides but what did she do? Shave off my sides. I tell her to cut half an inch off the top, she shaved off 2. She paid no attention to detail and just seemed like she wanted to get the haircut over with and go home as soon as possible. I might as well have gotten a haircut from my mom. Even I could've done better myself. Worst haircut experience I've had in my life. ZERO STARS.
Farshad is a magician. My first time going here was after I messed up my hair trying to cut it myself. He somehow made it look good, and I've been coming back ever since
Younger and Older generation both are loving this salon
Horrible service. Do these barbers really think they are professionals? The hairdresser never followed my instructions, I even showed him a picture of how he wanted my haircut, I explained to him many times what kind of haircut he wanted and even so I cut it badly. I will always cut my hair to Tommy Guns it is a bit more expensive but the quality of service far exceeds this barbershop. I will never recommend it to my friends. When I got home I realized that I needed several more haircuts, now I will have to go to another place to have my hair done and of course I will have to pay more money to repair this horrible cut. I don't know the name of the barber who treated me but he is bald and with glasses. No way, I will never return to this place. I do not recommend these barbers.
Don’t care about the quality of your haircut. Just want you out the door. Ramses in particular, terrible fades.
My experience with man cave was unfortunately horrible. My barber was a middle aged lady and she ruined my hair. She wasn’t expert and even a 10 year old kid could do better. Im sorry but I won’t go there again.
Ahmad always kills it if you ever need a fresh cut I suggest you choose him can’t go wrong
If you plan on going to man cave Metrotown, make sure you ask for Ahmad. He goes the extra mile each cut, takes his time, you always leave his chair happy, have never had a bad experience. Definitely the best barber in the shop
Pretty neat and decent place. Got a great haircut after a very long time. They have a lot of covid 19 protocols in place which is good to know. You don't need an appointment for this place.
The guys are very unprofessional that work there. I speak their language and it's like highschool. They talk bad about people and make fun of them even though they don't understand. Never again!
Very frustrated with my haircut, wasted quite a bit of my money just to get a cut I did not really want, the guy just started to cut me just because it was hard for me to explain what kind of cut I wanted to get, although the only reason I am giving them 2 stars is because they were very nice to me afterwards and David helped fixed my cut to something I would at least feel okay with even if it was not the cut I wanted, Thanks David for fixing my cut.
Got a cut here from almost every barber. Latest was by Farshad. I always get good fades here + hard split + side combover, it's fantastic. Highly Recommended! Tips: Just made sure you show them pictures and explain exactly what you want. Will continue coming here... The only thing I'll say is that it's unpredictable when it'll be busy haha
Johni does an amazing job cutting my hair and keeping me fresh. Been going to him for just about a year and wouldnt go anywhere else. Great staff, great atmosphere, and great service!
I love Nahla at Man Cave. I see her twice a month for the past year and always goes the extra mile with my hair. She also cuts my son's and moms. Great person! Very professional!
I come here to get my beard done. I don't have hair otherwise I'd get my hair cut here as they do great work. My beard is always perfect after coming here.
I get the back of my head shaved once or twice a month and most times I go with anyone at the metro location but I do wait for the manager if he’s there ( tall cute guy ) with sexy beard lol he gives me designs of his choice. Sorry I forgot his name
Great Barber shop. All the barbers are good. I always go with Ramy or Johnny though.
Been coming here for years and years. Best place. Never have even thought to go somewhere else
I've been going here since June and Moe my man he does his thing and kills it every time. Nice fades nice clean cut. People there are friendly and will be going here until Moe doesn't work there no more since I only go to one guy for my hair.
Spent literally 5 minutes on my head, paid $26 for the barber to not care and just do whatever he wanted. Top is completely uneven, way too short and I was given a fade despite not asking for one.
First time get a haircut there. Sal gave me one of the best cuts I've had in years. Definitely going back!!
Visited the Man Cave today and found my new barber. Its clear Farshad takes pride in his work and knows how to style hair. I have been here before where it feels like an assembly line, in and out in minutes however this man took the time and made sure he wasn't finished until I was 100% satisfied. Thank you Farshad.
After hearing about Mancave. I finally mad ethe choice to get a cut.. so I called to ask a few questions, Steven answered.. sounded like he was sleeping! I asked. May I speak to the manager and his reply was "what do you want"
Been going there for years and probably best haircut I have had but do not go to aesha I was given the worst hair cut ever go to anyone else
Great hair cut at a great price. Friendly team and Covid protocol in place
Excellent barbers, they open for long hours. 9am to 9pm everyday and they always take walk ins, i was looking at some of the bad reviews were they say that they are very busy shop, well they are busy for a reason, they are doing great at what they do. I took my father in law ( Asian ) and he loves it, definitely will bring my friends who go to nearby shops to the man cave. Keep up the awesome cuts, rock on
Quick, easy haircuts. Been coming here for a couple years now and it's wonderful. Never had a poor experience here
My first time getting my hair cut and most likely i will never come back. I only came to the metrotown location because I heard positive feedback from friends. The hair cut was a bit rough. The shaving machine hit my head a few times because the barber was going fast. The hair look uneven. I was disappointed the left over hair was not brush off my forehead and eye brow and my nose after the barber finish. I'm not sure if this is an extra pay service. The haircut was ok but nothing special. Pro: no wait time Quick hair cut Con: hair cut was rough Hair were not brush off my face
I agree with PF. The bald headed barber does not know what the hell he's doing.
Hello I will start by saying I love the new location, the place is so much bigger, and better since there is more room for waiting and more barbers are working now. My wife and I shop at Metrotown mall quite often, I was reading reviews for barbershop around there, I can across man cave and the reviews were awesome, some hate here and there but obviously I had to try myself, my first haircut was with Sam the owner back in 2014, he no longer cut himself, so I had David, and oh lord does he take care of me ? He is amazing since he’s always suggesting new styles, and he uses razor for my line up, defiantly recommend this place. I’m a soccer coach and I will always keep bringing the kids here since they have a cool check in system and iPads at the waiting area Cheers man cave P.s ask for the Spanish guy he good
I would give 10 stars if I can, amazing place, got my cut and style done by david for the first time, he’s the manager and he did magic on my hair as I told him to do what he think is good
I went to Man Cave for the first time yesterday and Farshad gave me the best haircut I have had all my life. He did a perfect job and did what I exactly wanted. He is awesome and I would recommend him to all my friends and family.
Very busy place, love it here, I work at the towers, so I always visit david Sam or Ramses Haircut for 21$ plus beard trimmed and lined up for 8$ Wish if the book appointments tho
Service was garbage. Ive been there 3 times now and the first two experiences were pretty good, i normally go there to get my beard trimmed and I showed a picture from my phone of how i want my beard to look, and so far it was good, until yesterday. I dont know who this guy was but he really messed up my thick beard. I showed him a picture of what I wanted and he took of too much of my beard and not to mention he also messed up the sides of my beard, they are not symmetrical with the right being too low and the left side being higer up and not even in a straight line. Also he cut a good chunk off before asking if that was how I wanted it before continuing on. I said yes only because I knew hes gone too far. I personally feel like the barber was arrogant and ignorant of my wishes. I dont normally complain about bad shave jobs but I feel that this is worth bringing up. I might go down there tomorrow after my work to speak directly with the owner.
Great place, I've been there many times, friendly barbers, great vibes i will definitely recommend this place.
Came here twice. First time was ok, got a lady who spent the time to understand what I want. Second time I went the guy didn't spend enough time understanding what I was asking for and ended up with buzzed sides making me look like a teenage wannabe thug. I'm almost 40, so not quite the look I was going for. It's a $20 haircut so you get what you pay for, and it's very hit or miss.
Is it possible to upload a table showing when a specific barber in working, it would be helpful.
Great service and reasonable price
Team is on point, no preference, don’t want a two hour haircut thank you 10-15 minted skin fade and it’s amazing for 21$ I went once with a guy I don’t remember his name but he got fired I ask the manager Cute receptionists ????
Dropped in for a haircut. Martin was quickand friendly. Gave suggestions to the haircut to better suit my hair and head after I showed him some pictures.
Worst beard trim I've ever had. They spent 6 minutes and charged me $16. I could have done a better job myself
I thought I would give the place a try cause I needed a haircut and I was in the mall. I was wrong, I shouldn’t have gotten a haircut here. Long story short the haircut lasted 5 brief minutes however the humiliation is everlasting. Nothing was lined up and my side profile is deformed looking. I kind of look like the guy from the “Goonies”. The reason for my off kilter hairstyle is most likely due to the fact that the woman cutting my hair was too busy chatting with a fellow co-worker and she was not very approachable. This may sound excessive but this is the most honest review you will hear.
Very good service, top quality hair cuts. Each barber takes the time and effort to make each haircut top notch. Been going here for almost 2 years now.
I rarely take the time to leave a review, but this one was deserved. I was checking out different barber shops as my barber moved to a further location. My son gets a fade from Farshad, so I thought I'd give it a try. I'm very particular with my hair and like most of you, very skeptical of having my hair butchered when getting a cut from someone you are new to. I came on a Thursday afternoon, was asked if I had a barber preference and seated right away. For someone as picky as myself, I was very impressed with the cut I received from Venus considering it was his first time cutting my hair. I did ask him to only line-up my beard and he did fade it in, which I wasn't happy about and did relay that to him, but the rest of the cut was amazing which balanced it out for me. Other barbers have had troubles with my hairline, Venus gave me the crisp line up I asked for. 5 stars for attention to detail.
Great service! Been goin to martin for years and he always gives a great cut with a smile ????????
Gone here for a bit and the barbers I've been with I show the same picture every time and not trying to offend anyone here but for me any of the guys can cut the hair just like in the picture I show but this one lady can barely cut and isn't very professional at her job, she was chewing gum and when I sat down in the chair she was talking with someone on the phone for about 5 minutes before moving on to me. She cut way to high with the Clippers and cut alot more hair off than I asked for I asked specifically for about .5 -1 inch off the top and she cuts off at least 2-2.5 inches. The picture I showed had a messy kind of Pompadour style to it and it's what I was going for but she cut the back part of the top of my head to like an inch and left it really long on the front half of my head. I can't even style it the way I want anymore and I'll jsut have to deal with it I guess for the next couple weeks. But all the men that I've gotten haircuts from actually talk and ask if everything is alright and if it's what I want before they do it. She asked me what I wanted then changed it at the end and said I know you wanted this but I did it like this because I didn't like it your way. So that upset me. Martin gives great cuts but I haven't gotten the ladies name yet but I'd suggest not getting a haircut from her because regardless of what you tell her or what you show her she won't follow it and will jsut do what she wants and "thinks" looks good to her. Depending on who is cutting your hair it's a real hit or miss. Rather its a great cut or a really bad one. Sincerely, Alexis Valles
I have been A loyal client to my Barber Saisha at the Mancave for over a year, and never let anyone else touch my hair. Not only does she take the time to do a proper fade but she also makes sure the details are done as well. My time is never rushed and I don't leave the shop until she is satisfied that i look my best. She is professional but also takes the time to make the experience personal and fun. I will never stop going to the Mancave as long as she is behind one of there chairs.
Martin has always done an excellent job I highly recommend him.
Honestly this place deserves a 5 star. Great & friendly environment/staff, they got me in the chair with in 10 minutes and Ahamd did such a good job at my haircut I’ll be back as a regular from now on.
First time getting my hair cut by Farshad and he did a fantastic job! Showed him some pictures and he knew exactly how to achieve the look. Very friendly as well. Would definitely come back!
Awesome staff! Super fast, friendly and reliable barbers who know their cuts!
Have been coming here for over a year, always great service, and even better hair cuts. Ask for Moh, great hair cuts, and hilarious guy all around.
I'll start at the end.. The barber did not even bother to style my hair before I left, even though I specifically asked for it. I have literally never left a barber's chair without having them style my hair to show me the finished product and I've never had to ask for this service. Now from the beginning.. I sit down, show the barber a picture of what I want (it was simple, short sides, longer on top) and the barber says fine but he'll go shorter on the sides. I say I'd rather not but ask why he wants to go shorter. At which point, he gets kinda pissy and starts telling me it's a bad photo anyway lol. It's like he was offended by the photo. The photo is from a magazine and it's a really simple cut. Either way, a barber should make recommendations, not complain about a bloody photo. At any rate, I'm trying to be polite because I don't want this guy revenge hacking my hair so I say sure, go a bit shorter but not too much. The guy remains in a pissy mood and begins cutting. I try small talk to smooth things over but honestly it was just super awkward from that point forward. And then at the end, he didn't bother to style it, just showed me the back with a mirror and said thanks bye, and I asked him to style it!!! I will never ever return to the Man Cave. Worst experience. There are great places to get your hair cut where the barber will take care of you, make positive suggestions if they think it can be better and just generally treat you with respect. Not the Man Cave. Be warned people. No good.
I have had nothing but a good experience when I come in to get a cut from David. Usually never have to say what I would like as he always remembers the hairstyle I go for. Keep up the quality service!
Gone there a few time with different stylists. They all said the other guy scew up the last haircut!!!! Amazing.....
I like coming here, fast and very good, I don’t like sitting in the chair for longer than 15 minutes
Great Service, Reasonable Price for mall, No appointment needed, Professional
Went there this Friday, and the people were very kind! And most importantly the haircut quality was perfect! Will for sure be coming back regularly
Absolutely horrible experience. I think it was one of the newer barbers, spent literally 10 minutes cutting my hair, 5 minutes he was talking and with other barbers and wasn't even paying attention. When he was done didn't blowdry or even ask to style, just finished cutting and then told me to leave. I used to come here every now and then, but after this last experience, never again. Here is a warning to anyone who wants to come in for not only a bad haircut but also a bad experience at least with the barber I had. (short, talkative, kept turning away to talk to other people WHILE cutting my hair, and could see he was clearly not tentative AT ALL)
Go see Pea. She's the BEST! ✂️✂️
Went there this Saturday and Sal gave me a great cut - really good fade!
Always happy with my cuts from here. Good sign in system and reasonable prices (up to $20 for a cut now, before tax and tip, but still good). Bobby (the Asian dude) cut my hair today and he did an awesome job, exactly how I asked him. He was very careful and meticulous, which I appreciate being perfectionist myself. He was also very chill and polite, which made it easier to for me to let him know how I wanted my cut. I definitely recommend Man Cave, and if you can, get a cut from Bobby.
MANCAVE, is my place to go and David is the barber to see. Courteous, professional, and ALWAYS, ALWAYS makes you look great leaving! You just have to tell him what you want done, show him picture of what youre describing, and he'll get it done. Been going to David to get my hair done for years, and have NEVER HAD a problem with him. If i could give this TEN STARS, I would. Keep up the great work guys!
My experience was satisfying the barber was nice he was listening carefully to my instructions and executed them just like i wanted them to be ( geven the fact that iam realy picky ) eventually we came like buddies, good job sal . For sure i'm gonna be a regular.
Moe recently gave me a skin fade and it was amazing great attention to detail and super clean. I’d suggest people ask for Moe if their looking for a great cut!
Busy place with mediocre staff. Go anytime and you'll still be waiting. Would not recommend
Ahmad at this location always gives me 100 percent satisfaction when I get off that chair. You can tell he takes pride in his work . would recommend to everyone!!
Best haircut for your money service is great
I take my 7 year old to get his haircut here for a year now. My son is so picky who cuts his hair. Prior to coming here i would take him to the salon which she never did what he wanted. The barbers are super friendly even the staff at the desk always smiling. They listen to how we want his haircut. We leave here very happy.
LOVE IT, had an epic cut with the Dave, he was super nice. Dont believe the bad reviews. Try em yourself.
i got myself a new barber, the first guy on the left when you enter. great job
The place is beautiful, but the service is the worst that I ever had in my life. I took my son yesterday to cut his hair and the woman simply screwed my son's hair up. She forgot and left a huge piece of hair without cut. Now I need to spend more money to find someone that can fix it.
I came in 2 days ago to trim the top of hair and get a fade on the sides. The barber even asked for my measurements and then proceeded to shave the entirety of both sides and back of my head the same length. The trim at the top was very uneven, looks unfinished and I regret coming in. Ive been going here for a little over a year now and this is the first time I’ve felt like the barber genuinely had no idea what they were doing. Would recommend going somewhere else where the actual quality of work matches the perceived quality of the store.
They were great! Quick, friendly and professional. Price point is good as well. Will be back
The only place where I feel I'll get a decent haircut.
Staff is super friendly with a modern check in and text system in place. I had the pleasure of getting Sal who gave me tips on how to maintain my current hairstyle and grow it out. Overall a really pleasant experience. I really didn't ask for much and the barber went above and beyond. Chill dude! Would definitely visit and ask for him again.
I really hate leaving reviews like this, but my wife was in there today shopping for some Christmas gifts for me, specifically some simple beard care stuff (a beard brush, and she was also looking for some balm) While she said that the actual barber looked like he did (and does) do an amazing job, she said the lady there treated her like complete garbage and had very little knowledge about the products they sell. We all know Christmas is a hard time of the year especially for retail employees, so usually I’m very willing to cut some slack for a lot of things, but treating my wife like complete trash, and then coping an attitude when she didn’t leave a tip I find horrendous. - We have a very short list of businesses that cater specifically to men’s beards in the lower mainland, and as far as I’m concerned the list just got shorter. Whoever owns Man Cave Barber Shop, please have a word with your employees regarding customer care.
I was gonna leave a review for my barber who cut my hair today and did an amazing job, and then I read what Pelax have left as a review, I was seated in the shop around the same time when he was there, I know that since we were all talking about how that barber couldn’t sing as a joke, and we were all ( clients and barbers ) having a good time, I don’t understand what bothers him if he didn’t want to engage in the conversation with us, and if you want to say something about your haircut, then please talk to a supervision or receptionist while you’re in the shop, that’s what I would’ve done if I was u
RAMI Best barber in the town ???????? will definitely come back again ????????????
Clown ass customer service. Even if the barber you want to be cut by isn't working his name is still on the sign in list. So you wait 30 mins before being told he's not working. You ask why his name is on the sign in sheet and the guy answers "it's okay". What a joke. Out of the 5 or 6 guys they usually have working only one can give a solid cut. This place is a joke. Time to find a new barber.
Farshad is the best Barber there. Very professional and respectful. Does exactly what you want. His skin fades are the best. With this pandemic going on, he respects your space, follows all sanitary guidelines and creates a comfortable environment. I have recommended him to all my friends.
I am not sure what I just paid for. My total was 26.50. I went for a hair cut and I came out of the shop exactly the same way i went there. What a horrible barber shop, just having a few fancy chairs and mirrors don’t make you a good babrber shop, stop fooling yourself. While you guys charge so much and do a horrible job. Just add some massage chairs there. It will make people feel at least a little bit better. Don’t waste your money people !!
This place is a hit and miss, depending on who's cutting your hair. I asked for a very simple haircut today from Mo, and it is embarrasing to look at when I got home after washing my hair. Of course, it's sometimes kinda hard to pinpoint the details in your hair when the guy immediately puts gel on, but I should've looked at it better after he cut my hair. Seriously, I can see a straight scissor line on the area where it's supposed to be "blended". I've been here at least 5 times, but today's visit was horrible. Some of the guys are okay, but for this review, I'm writing an angry one. Should've clued in to why the haircut took less than 10 minutes.
I am sure he already has more than enough reviews but David is just great at what he does. Amazing service and always great haircut for the past 3 years!
I have been a regular client here for many many years, I recommend 4 barbers David, Sam Johnny and Steve
Love it ! Had my samurai cut within 20 min a perfect clipping ! I was expecting a hour plus haha Great! Will be back foresure. My cut was about 23 bucks, expect to spend a little more around $30+ for a more fancy cut
I go here regularly, although it is close to where I live. The service is impeccable with the same barber that I go to. I just go in and he says ''say no more''. Only thing that is preventing me from giving then 5 stars is their prices. But if you can afford it you won't be disappointed.
First time, great cut the barber was able to go by description with out a photo. I will be going back, wish i grabbed his name but his chair was the second to the left.
Had a wonderful experience with Pea! Highly recommend it ????
stay away! This women should be anything else than a hairdresser... I showed her pictures but she was doing her own thing. It looks terrible. I told her three times to change my cut.
This place used to be amazing. Fair price and great haircuts.
My go to for haircuts, I usually go to the women in the shop. Very great, they know what they are doing, quick service but very accurate.
The Man Cave at Metrotown is great and honestly my go to place when i need a clean cut. The barber, Moe, especially has always been great in terms of customer service and quality of haircut. I have been going there for approximately half a year now and i can proudly say I have never been disappointed leaving the store. If you are looking for professionalism and quality, i highly recommend you ask for Moe. He always goes beyond what is expected and will focus a lot more on the extra details to ensure a great cut.
Easy to come in and book an appointment, sign in electronically, get a phone notification while you wait. I always shop around and ive ways been seeing my one barber Sam, who does a sick job everytime. Spacious, a few T.Vs so youre not bored while sitting either
Great place to get trendy men's haircuts. Very fast and affordable price.
I've had my third haircut at this place and I'll never even think about trying any other barber shop because these guys really know what they're doing and you'll walk out satisfied. I came in for a comb over with a fade at the back and got exactly what I wanted. The staff are really friendly, enjoy their work and take their time to make sure you're happy with the haircut. As an added bonus, the decor in this place looks amazing and the whole atmosphere feels great! So bottom line: if you want a superb haircut that won't break your bank, this is the place to go.
Regular here. MOH is the guy That gives the freshest fades !
My husband always have his hair cut here and everything is ok, but not yesterday.. the guy who attended him was very ungreatful. i ask him nicely what kind of haircut he did so when my husband comes back he knows what kind of cut, and the guy just said, its just a hair cut. When we pay he suddenly says are you giving tip or not? what a rude question, even you wanna give more you wouldn’t think that way anymore. He dont even know how to say thank you or what ever, will definitely remember that guy. And if somebody do that again. Will never come back anymore.
Went here because its literally right across the street from where i live, i usually go downtown for my hair cut but my work hours and their hours conflict. First impression of this place was horrible to say the least. The receptionist told me to go to the third chair to the left but there was someone there already. I was confused and then asked her what chair and then she yelled 4th chair on the left repeatedly. So i get to the fourth chair and then am greeted by my barber. During my hair cut Ive never had my hair brushed from my head so many times before. I thought by the end my head would be raw. She kept chewing gum and cutting my sporadically. Buzz then brush, buzz then brush. Then during my hair cut she felt the need to ask me if my Louis Vuitton bag was real. Ive never been so disrespected in my life. I was so disrespected that i felt like i should go get my bag authenticated because for someone to ask me if my bag is real then it looks fake. Anyways hair cut was done and i just wanted to go home. I work 10.5 hours a day and just wanted to leave. I get home and shower and have a look at my hair. It looks like she buzzed my head. In the picture you can see where it is she cut it. Its the same on the other side but this side is more obvious. And when i asked for a line in my head a straight razor should have been used, suppose to be clean and no stubble. I don't want to go back here again even if the manger/owner asks me to come back to make things right. This type of behavior has gone unchecked it seems for along time at this location.
I had my haircut today and i could say that im very satisfied, farshad took his time to cut my hair and it turned out good. Difinitely coming back!
I asked the front girl who does good fades she pointed to a certain girl I sat down got a cut half way through she started to mess up my lines going in to much I knew then she had no idea wat she was doing by the end of the cut my fade was a 5 out 10 and my lines on my beard were not even. Terrible I don't recommend this place at all
Horrible staff. Paid $ 27 for a terrible cut.
Curious about this barber shop? Better think twice. I came in today for a haircut and specifically asked to only clean up the sides and to not trim too much off. Should have been easy right? No. The bald headed "barber" that works there gave me a complete bare shave. He disregarded what I asked for and what's even worse from this experience was he only used an electric razor with a guard for my cut. I thought it was strange and I later find out why and I quote him, "I don't know how to use scissors". You're. kidding. me. What kind of barber shop hires a person who doesn't know how to use scissors? Hell, I could have given myself a better haircut. I later spoke with David how dissatisfied I was and he apologized and refunded my money without hesitation. I honestly heard great things about this place and was excited to come here, but this was the worst haircut I have ever received.
I've been going here for about a year now. Very friendly staff at the front desk. I love you you can check in on an iPad and pick your barber and service needed.
Super friendly easy going and professional. Depending on the day it can get pretty busy but service is always best !
Staff are friendly and service is quick. Haircuts can be great or just okay, depending on the barber you get. Farshad has amazing attention to detail and always does a great job.
Really nice shop and excellent barbers who love what they do and they do it right. Loved the atmosphere and it does really look like a man's place, not like other places which looks like hair salons for ladies. Loved the ipads for waiting customers and watching soccer while getting my hair cut.
Staff is friendly and professional. I've been seeing Farshad for a while now and his service is beyond excellent. He pays attention to detail and takes his time to make sure you get the cut you want. I highly recommend him, you won't regret it!
Very nice hair cuts by any of the barber's.
Great barbers not going anywhere else for my haircut
Always happy with my haircuts here. Bobbi is great, he gets it done right. I highly recommend
I really wish I had read these recent reviews before going to Man Cave, after my haircut (clearly done by a "barber" who was either not a professional or didn't care at ALL) I came straight on here to find that there are many others who shared the bad experience I had with Man Cave. Warning to anyone who wants try it: take a look at how many low reviews this place has, RED FLAGS!! Man Cave probably tries to buy fake 5 star reviews to trick people into trying it out
To the Owner/Manager of Mancave Metrotown, I went to Mancave Metrotown for a haicut and showed the barber a picture of a style I want. The barber showed the picture to his fellow barber and laughed while saying “I’m going to make some magic here”. I wondered what he meant by that. When he finished to cut my hair, it was completely different that what’s in the picture. I felt so bad with the outcome. I went to Mancave Metrotown for the second time because it's close to my place and tried a different barber. Again, I showed the same picture. The barber said it will not look good on me and he confidently told me that he will do something that will suit me best. I said I want the style in the picture. He started to cut my hair. Again, it was completely different than what’s in the picture and I felt so bad again. Do the barbers in Mancave Metrotown deliberately do what they like and ignore what the customers want? Why can’t they just honestly tell me that they can’t do the style in the picture instead of pretending they know what suit the customers better.
Great service, a place to sit and relax while you wait for your turn!
Never have to wait more than 5 minutes. I can't speak about the other barbers but Martin always does a great job. Remembers what I want and I'm in and out in 15minutes.
Poor quality. This is not a men's Barber shop, but the cheap quality of an ordinary hair salon. (salon manager - read the points that are inherent in a real modern barber shop) The child cut the hair for only 6 minutes. It was Rough! There is no approach to children. He answered my wishes: who is the hairdresser here??? It’s dirty in the salon - walked through the hair into the place. In the end, I had to finish it myself, since he cut it crookedly. A real barber first learns with his hands the structure of the head and other details in order to understand if there are any things to be careful, questions about details - naturally this was not !!! I was surprised that at the end I said thanks and goodbyes 3 times, and the master and manager sat looking at their smartphones. It is unfortunate that due to competition, customers are not appreciated here. Sorry - I do not recommend the salon.
If you're looking for a great barber who is a perfectionist, ask for Ramses. He has been cutting my hair for about a year now. I don't trust just anyone with my hair and after my previous barber moved away, I had a hard time finding the right barber. Ramses got my approval since the very first hair cut. 30+ hair cuts with him thus far and not one disappointment. He does sick fades too!
I just got one thing to say about them... They are pros!
An excellent haircut. Good client service. Old-time barber shop atmosphere. A good experience all around.
Great haircuts every time!
Nothing to say ... wasted my money
A lot chairs that can cater to a large group people great bunch of stylists
Unprofessional rude staff. Charged me so much and spoilt my hairstyle. The barber was so rude
They have a sign in setup for when it's busy which sounds great in theory but apparently it glitches occasionally which allowed about three guys to go ahead of me. The actual hair cut was fast and looks good so props to the barber. Just get that sign in thing figured out!
Steve is effortlessly good! Very quick and has become my new barber in Vancouver area. Good pricing too
This place use to the be the place.to go too. It use to be about the barber and client now its about how cut they want to give you and get out.
Awesome service - highly recommended. Shop is modern and clean and great management.
Senior David really good bravo te amo amigo
Good service. They cut my friends hair.
Regular guy here for the 5 stars skin fades and beard trims I love how I don’t get pimples after the skin fade, I would recommend Iehab or David, David is the Manager so he’s always busy, but Iehab is just as good
Great place. I always had a great experience. Staff is very helpful. I have tried almost all of the barbers. I have got what i wanted every time. I have been coming here since 1 year.Great staff????. Love the place
My boyfriend just got his haircut today from there and it was so bad. The guy was so rough my boyfriend had red scratches on his head and neck. Super quick and careless cut, definitely don't recommend going here. And update on the review above. So the management team asked me to email them pictures of my boyfriend's cut and to let them know which chair he sat on etc. I was hopeful that something would be done. I sent the email and it has been well over 3 weeks and i have not received any response. My conclusion is that they only comment on bad reviews to make it seem like they care but they dont actually reply rhe emails or do anything about it. I would give this place a zero if i could
Great place, have been going there for the last year and half, I usually see Martin or Evan, sometimes David if he's not busy, they always have some cool stories to share, plus I enjoy my skin fade there, friendly receptionist.
I was recommended from a friend to see Martin to cut my hair. It was a first time going to a Barbershop and I had a great experience! He was very friendly and was interested to listen to what I wanted. He also gave suggestions and advice and I really appreciate Martin for that. I have been going back to him couple more times ever since and plan to continue with him. You can really tell when someone enjoys what they do! Thanks Martin!
Had a great experience today, merci
The guy that gave me a shave was probably the worst I have ever had in my life.. I should have actually asked him to stop because it felt like he was skinning me alive.. Wasn't sure if it was a blunt blade or just the guy!!?? Just bad.
I drive all the way from Surrey to get my haircut here. Farshad is by far the best barber I've had in years and the shop is always friendly. Wouldn't go anywhere else!
I’ve been getting my haircut with Farshad for about 3 years now. In terms of professionalism and experience I’ve had with Farshad, he would definitely be my 1st choice and recommendation to everyone.
Love this place...Moh is master barber...his attitude and skills are obsolete...????????????????????????????????recommend to all the guys who want a fresh cut... Vadim Malinovski
Man Cave Metrotown has the best barbers hands down, my man Farshad has been cutting my hair for nearly 16 years now and he's now cutting here. Shave, fade, trim, you name it, Farshad has got it covered. ????????????????????
Theirs a lady who has some black stuff in her gums and teeth dont know her name. She is horrible, she listens to what you have to say then doesnt do any of it. Then after she f*d up the haircut she rudely says "your welcome". I still left her a tip because i always do but damn if your going to be a barber listen to the clients. Avoid this place they dont care about the haircuts just about getting the 25 dollars
Not the haircut i asked for. Edit. Got home lines were all out of wack. The tops un even the guy didnt even thin it out (the one thing i asked for). I dont think he was trained or something. Not coming back ever. I learned not to cheat on my barber today. Coulda got a haircut of this quality from great clips or some other budget place. Edit number 2 . My friends asked me if I got my hair cut from a blind person. Or if the guy who did it was drunk. Dont go to the little guy in the back chair.
20$ for haircuts, very good deal as I went there last month and I got Johny to give me a fresh fade, so I went back again today and got David to give me a dope fade, ma man killed it. Bless up ????????
Bad costumer service. Especially one barber from Iran. I forgot his name but what I remember is he talking that Farsi kinda insulting me. He should get some course of courtesy. Worst person I ever met.
Great service! Sam is my guy. Ahmad also does great job!
Poor service at the front reception. She is way too arrogant for her role. She needs to learn basic customer service on order to make waiting customers happy. Terrible experience.
Worst saloon visited in my life yet, there are only few barbers who know to cut hairs properly. Most of them were busy in their personal talkings while cutting hairs doesn’t concentrate on cutting. They just do quick haircut no matter that looks good or not, so that they can serve other customer quickly. I wasted mine 22$ dont go here they are just big names nothing else.
got my haircut by Mo for the first time and he was amazing
Had a guy name Moh cut my hair, he does a great job and he does his best to meet up with your expectations. Aside from that, its a great environment and the staffs are friendly. A place where I can proudly recommend to family, friends and others.
I called to double check if my barber was working and every time I get a different answer or worse I’m told he is working and when I get there he is not. I don’t know if the receptionist isn’t doing the job or if they can’t hear what we say. It happened a few times w my friend that also comes to the shop.
Don't hesitate to ask for Ahmad to get the best haircut ever, he's the best barber in this place, friendly, organized and talented .
A bit over-priced and at best average. Good service is more than a hair-cut. All the Best!
i realy appreciated in this situation time man cave is opening and risk on life to give customer service and use all face mask and cleaning all the tools .finally you are best in vancouver love you and good luck
Completly disappointing. I went to this place for a haircut and I definitely don't recommend it. First of all the person that did the service clearly didn't know english so well what made difficult to explain how I wanted my haircut. The service lasted no more than 7 minutes. By the time that the person that attended me thought she had finished doing the service, I asked for one more simple thing and in response the person did it in a total rush. They charge $19 for an adult haircut so I guess you could say you get what you pay right? Well not in this case, I could have spent half the price on Great Clips and would still have the same or even a better service. In the end I came out with the feeling that I could have done the same job myself or asked a friend to do it and would still save 20 bucks.
The boys always keeping me fresh, been a client here for a long time, never thought I would be a regular client of a barbershop until I found the man cave, haircut and beard trim for 30$, very good price. Keep up the good work
This place is great all barbers have there own skill set and are equally equipped to do a great job, there is a parking structure outside and underground. The only downside is they don't reserve a spot, so you are always waiting, I unfortunately come from south side of Vancouver and end up waiting any where between half hour to an hour to see a specific barber named Sam. Do check it out tho, they are inexpensive compared to most.
David is a great barber, he always remembers how I like my hair cut to a tee. Anyone else st this shop, I wouldn't trust. I have had some nightmare haircuts here. Go to David! You will not be disappointed
Long-term client. I started going to Athens 21 years ago. I’ve been getting my haircut from the manager at Man Cave for the last three years. I just had my worst experience ever. I asked him if he can clean his station before my haircut. At first he said no, then proceeded to clean the station with an attitude. During the haircut, I asked him if the shop will be taking future appointments instead of walk-in’s. He replied “you’re here now”. Not sure if he was having a bad day but no one deserves this kind of treatment. Especially a long-term client. I’ve been very loyal. I’ve referred many clients to man cave. At first I was very excited to get my haircut however, I left very disappointed. Completely shameful and unprofessional behavior! Don’t take your customers for granted. There are plenty of great barber shops in town. PS the full-time receptionist is professional! Response from the owner 3 minutes ago Hello Jason Thank you for your review, we really appreciate your feedback. We spoke with the manager, and here is what we found out, please correct us if its not right. You called the shop few days ago asking for an appointment, the receptionist told you we do not do appointment as we are walk-ins only. You came to the shop and talked to David and the receptionist to book an appointment again, David booked you an appointment for 10am as you requested even tho we do not do appointments, but it was a courtesy for your loyalty. David came to work early on Wednesday, took a client at 9:30am and finished at 9:50am, you then walked in asking David how come you’re not his client of the day, David told you that you requested 10am appointment, then you asked him “ do you clean your tools ?“ and David Said yes as he nodded his head on the shop’s surveillance, David did get offended as you asked him if he cleans his tools in front of clients and coworkers, as a client of his, you should’ve known how seriously he takes sanitation and cleaning of his stations and tools. Please do let us know if you weren’t happy with the haircut. Thank you Jason’s response: Thank you for your response however the details are inaccurate. I only came in once, during the day of reopening. I asked if you now take appointments, so I can book an appointment for the following week. The receptionist said yes, wrote down my details, and confirmed with the manager on the spot. I called the day before to confirm my appointment. The receptionist confirmed that I was the first appointment. I would’ve been more than happy to do a walk-in, had I known that you don’t take appointments. A walk-in is more convenient. Not sure how I could’ve called the day before reopening, if the shop was closed. This contradicts the premises of your account. If you actually check the surveillance “audio”, you would here the manager say “no” when I asked if he can clean his station. This might have been a sarcastic response however, this is not the way to talk to clients. This is not the time to joke or be offended about hygiene. Unfortunately, I can’t take the manager outside and ask him quietly regarding his covid-19 sanitary practices. This is all new to everybody. During the haircut, when I asked about appointments and walk-in's for future hair cuts, the response shouldn't have been “you’re here now” Obviously, the shop does not value their client relationships. Best of luck to you all.
The asian lady on the cashier was so rude it's the lady that has a long blonde hair.
My last 2 visits was sooo much disappointed when ever u visit all workers are trying to finish they dint care about good finishing they always use machines for quickly finish
Great check in system. Not great barbers. Suggestions: 1. Don't tell your client that his natural part line is "a bad idea". Two separate barbers said this to me here, never had an issue anywhere else in 40 years. Doesn't give a good start to the haircut. 2. Don't cut someone's sideburns short when they have clearly shaved that morning, especially if you can't make them straight or even with each other. What an amateur! 3. Consider cleaning your instruments daily, perhaps even between customers (and also when they drop on the floor!). That was disgusting. Never again. I'll stick with my regular barber even if I have to wait. Good luck, hope these suggestions help you guys to raise the bar off the floor.
David is the man
I’ve been here 4 times now and every single time I’ve Been happy. I recommend getting your cuts from moh, he never lets me down. Glad I found this place ????????
Man Cave is a great environment with perfect management and friendly staff like David, Edi and Farshad. My son and I absolutely love getting our haircut by Farshad! His attention to detail and patience with my son is amazing in my experience. I always recommend Man Cave to anyone who askes where they can get a good haircut!
I just went there last Tuesday. Sal gave me the best cut ever????????????????????going there again for sal; he is the best.
I been to so many different barbershop in Vancouver but I wasn’t satisfied but mans cave is the best place to get hair cut everything is professional and friendly. Farshad is my barber and he is professional and friendly. Five star is not enough for him I should give him a diamond.???????? I really appreciate it thank you Farshad for your time and EXCELLENT JOB
Price is a bit high but good service. Always have to wait for sometime
I usually come here and get great hair cuts, today I got a hair cut around 6:30 pm it seems it was a new guy that doesn’t know how to cut hair I told him how I like it and he did what he wanted
Went here last sat to get a straight razor shave. Told the guy i needed to look sharp as its my wedding engagement party that night. The barber ended up cutting my upper cheek and under my neck which was noticeable. Will not come here again. My cousin had his beard done at the same time. His barber was more interested in the soccer game on tv. very Unprofessional.
Depends on who you see. Though they are all pretty decent.
Sam is hands down best barber I’ve had in years. Glad I came here and stumbled on him as a barber, haven’t went anywhere else since.
Best place in town hands down i have tried most of the barbers there and had a wondaful service every time, epic management, they keep their haircuts quality up to the max, i usually ask for Dave ps. they clean the shop very well. years of coming here and never had an issue
I had great two visits at this location with different barbers who were asking me while working if I liked, on the third visit, this guy "never trust a hairstylist who dosn't has his own hair in order" made one of the fastest haircuts I ever had. I didnt want top to be touched but when I asked about side to go zero he said that would charge me double. Hahaha Most of hairstylist were taking of the hair gradually till reach zero and I expected this is gonna be the same, but it seems he wanted to take a new customer before any other worker did. 10-22/ 16:15 I think its a third sit on the left looking in side
Worst barbershop ever, never go there again,I would give them 0 star if I could
Man Cave is a great place to get your haircut. The staff are always very professional, friendly, and do great work. I would highly recommend this place to anyone!
Shop is on point with great staff and wonderful atmosphere, go see habibi David
Great haircut took no shortcuts and took his time. Will definitely be coming back
I have been going to Moh for the past year now. He really takes his time when cutting your hair, whether there is a big line - up behind him or not; he will listen to your needs and execute at the finest quality. He will share ideas with you and guarantee you are leaving Man Cave satisfied. If you are new and looking for a barber, or looking to switch barbers... I highly recommend Moh for any haircut needs.
I asked for a beard trim and they gave me the beard she wanted. Just went straight with the machine. The killed my beard.
Decent haircut at a decent price. However, my barber cut the back of my neck. I didn't notice the huge red line until one of my friends pointed it out a day after my haircut. Would have been greatly appreciated (or just common decency) for the barber to tell me he cut me and then put some solution on it.
Great hair cuts and very nice people. Johnny is my favorite !
They returned my lost phone great staff
When they first opened they were great.Jimmy and David are two of the best. As they expanded they hired more and more.Service is slow even with their new expansion. Hair cuts are sometimes rushed especially saturdays and sometimes not very good. They need more staff but it would also effect the amount of revenue from tips that that their current staff get as they are flogged with back to back cuts. Its the customers that suffer as a result with an in and out cut. They have half the store with empty chairs and upto a 30 minute wait as a result. This place needs more barbers like Jimmy who take time and make sure the cut is perfect and even.
Dude took off an extra inch from what I asked and rushed me out. From most people I hear 2/3 haircuts they mess up.
I go to Man Cave for three years.and also I take my kids there too.I am very happy with their service and atmosphere there. They are all professional and friendly. But Farshad is the one who I ask for to cut my hair. He is the best.
I go to man cave at times when I cannot get an appointment with my go to barber. I went today and had a terrible experience. I ask for the person who had cut my hair on previous occasions (happens to be the manager). The girl at the front says this is possible, and I wait 15 minutes, only to be direct to another barber. I just got off a 12 hour shift, and didn't look up until I sat down. When I realized it's the wrong person, I thought hey, let's just give this guy a try. He asks me how I want my hair, I tell him I want a high and tighter fade. Without asking about how I want the back of the hair cut, he starts zipping chunks of my hair at the back. I tell him that's not what I wanted for the back, because I have a very flat head at the back. He says that's how fades are done and it's too late, assuring me it will turn out great. Well it didn't turn out great at all and I'm sitting there fuming while this guy trys to save my hair in vain. When I go back up to pay, the girl apologizes to me for mixing up the barber. Too late. I just returned home and had a shower. The sides of my hair is not symmetrical. The left side is straight while the right side angles outwards. I can take some blame for not explaining my flat head at the back (even though it's pretty obvious), but is asking for basic symmetry too much at man cave? I am sure some of the barbers in man cave are OK, but some of these guys literally have no clue what they are doing
Ask for the gut named Renee He is good
I’ve had haircuts here time to time when my original barbers are not in town. Absolute disappointment every time. They lack experience with asian hair (which I know can be very difficult to work with) but their confidence is high because they want u IN and OUT. Easy and fast which is why I think they only do walk ins. I had Oscar cut my hair recently. I pointed out his mistake, he tried to correct twice but still unable to fix it. At the end I paid , tipped and left. Got fixed up down the street for free. They felt that bad
My husband and son both get their hair cuts from Farshod and he does an excellent job! My son is young and doesn’t enjoy getting his hair cut and Farshod does an amazing job at making him feel comfortable while giving him a stylish hair. Great consistent service from staff at the Metrotown location. They are also practicing Covid restrictions and guidelines well.
Hi I always getting my haircut from metro town location because of their good service my barber is farshad and he is the best man..I will say they are the best..⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Ahmad is my go-to guy. He does some of the best blend work I've ever had and always does a great job trimming my beard . Highly recommended
Bad experience. I arrived and I was the only one in the waiting area. I was told I did not need to register on the device. I waited for 10 minutes. When a barber was free, I noticed I was not called so I asked if I was next. I was told to wait for the next free barber. Apparently they were waiting for the customer who showed up after me. I was told to not be mad. I was then told to sit in the barber’s chair. I was just stating a fact that I was there first. I felt the barber became rude when I was showing a picture To describe what I would like done. I think they should respect the queue or ask the customer if it was ok to wait another 10 minutes for a valid reason.
Marten from metrotown is the man! He took a man like me and made me look and feel handsome! Thanks Marten (hope I got spelling right) you made me feel like I was 20 and ready to club it. Great ideas for change. Never looked so good at 42! Loyal customer for life. PS : hot towel shave! Time to pamper ourselves boys! The best!
I have had many haircuts by many different barbers in my time. Cutting hair is an art. A person's experience starts from the beginning before you are greeted by your Barber. Every time I attended man cave for my haircuts, whether it's at the front counter or all the way by his chair, the barbers greet me with a smile. You see, everything around us comes in low quality and high-quality, whether you are thinking about food or in this case a haircut. I have gone to man cave over the years many times and had a specific Barber that did my hair; however, my barber left man cave and I had to decide to go with another barber. After doing much research I decided to go with a barber at man cave by the name of Ahmed. It has now been about a year since Ahmed has been cutting my hair. This is not a joke. I am an extremely picky person but I must tell you that Ahmed has cut my hair with laser precision every single time. By far, he is no doubt one of the best Barbers I have come across in my entire life. I get my haircuts in Los Angeles, New York, Toronto, but Ahmed is not even comparable. I highly recommend you try getting a haircut from Ahmed. Getting a haircut from Ahmed is like getting the best filet mignon steak served to you. If you want the filet mignon/rib eye of haircuts, try Ahmed. The guy is a true artist. He is a very professional barber. If at any time, you want to tell him about any detail regarding the kind of haircut you want, he will take the time to talk to you and deliver what you expect as long as you don't flip flop between designs. Ahmed you are truly an amazing barber. The guy is so good that if I was wealthy enough, I would fly him to wherever I am to get my hair cut. I hope you have a great experience as well.
Been going to here for a while now for haircuts before big and important events. So far i've noticed that the barbers at mancave really pay attention to detail and don't rush despite the lines going out of the door. I recommend going to Moh if you're going to tryout Mancave. He listens to what you want and suggests what would suit you if you're not quite sure.
Called ahead to see what the wait time was. Told me it wasnt busy at all. Went and waited more than 30 minutes to be seen. Staff was rude and pretentious. Came in with styled hair and let them know before hand. Barber then lightly misted my hair and ripped through it with the finest tooth comb then complained it was hard to brush… duhhh its got product in it. To top it off my hair ended up being an inch shorter on one side than the other and a huge chunk of uncut hair on one side. Had to go to my local barber to fix it. Wouldn't go back ever again.
Rushed job, barber and cashier decided to talk about new iPhone instead of talk to clients, barber didn't seem to care because I left with razor burn on the back of my neck and hair uneven in the back, had to go to another barber to fix. Wouldn't recommend.
Great haircuts for a great cuts. Have been going to Farshad for a long time now, his fades always come out looking clean
Don't come here! Had a hair cut yesterday which is the worst one I had my entire life! I even showed the guy a picture of the style I want and mentioned to him a few times I dont want a very high cut and he still did the cut the way he wanted it which is almost like military bald! So sad these guys don't listen to their customers... Avoid this place!!!
I went there for the first time about 2 months ago and I was very happy with my haircut. I was also pleased that i was in and out quickly. Martin was the barber who cut my hair and I will continue to see him as he gives great cuts in a timely manner. If you need a great haircut and you need it done quick go see Martin.
Metro location: Evin(first chair right-side near cashier) gave my picky teen an amazing haircut! My son has curly hair and he took his time cutting his hair.
Professional barbers located on all 3 branches of this barbershop, also, being managed sophisticatedly by experienced owners. I tried different barbers every time and unquestionably each of them were great. They have 3 locations, doesn’t matter where I am, I can easily access them, either downtown, Surrey or Metrotown.
Had the best experience here. Everyone was so professional and welcoming. If you guys want a nice fade ask for Ahmed and he will give the best cut.
I really liked it and my barber did a fantastic job he knew exactly how to cut my hair and trim my beard for it to match me
Great haircut! Quick service, great receptionist
I would give it zero stars if I could. My wife brought my son to this location for a haircut with a fade and when she was done there was no fade just a buzz cut. The cut is so bad and uneven that we have to go somewhere else so that they can fix it. This is the last time we go here as the quality has gone downhill.
I went to this barber shop to get a simple man's haircut. There was a short line up and lady receptionist asked me to use their tablet to register in line. Their system needs a phone number and I wasn't willing to give them mine. I asked the lady if I could wait for my turn without registering. She gave me a look and said I could do that. Now, I don't know what happened and where I was wrong, but they kept ignoring me for quite some time. People who came way after me and registered got invited and I didn't. Anyway, maybe it was my fault for trying to break their system, maybe I should have kept asking them if it was my turn, maybe it was a simple misunderstanding or maybe they wanted to school me, I will never know. The haircut itself could have been amazing, but I never got to experience it.
Love this place, TVs and iPads and the wait is next to nothing, they don’t take appointments which works great for me, David is my guy, he did my hair first time when I got engaged, my fience liked it and I have been going there ever since, now I take my 2 years old for haircuts too. P.s read some bad reviews that referred to long wait but I don’t agree to be honest
Not impressed did terrible job i asked them to fix it they made me wait dont come here unprofessional.
I've tried out a few barbershops from time to time, but I've been going to Man Cave for almost 4 years now. It's staff is friendly and well-trained.
They give good haircuts. The prices are a bit more expensive than most places I have seen.
Hands down one of the best Barber shops in city the barbers know what their doing and you can trust them with your hair.
My everytime choice for getting a haircut! Its pretty equipped with friendly and professional personnel. Also, the best point about it is their management because they have like ipads for signing up and you dont have to wait long for your turn.
I love this place. They are so quick. I am usually in and out in about 10 minutes with a great haircut.
