I have been going to Dial A Style shop since march to see Myra she was just braiding my hair at first. Then i asked her to cut and color my hair after a year and a half without cutting my hair and she did an amazing job and left me speachless. i contiue to go to Myra for her to color my hair. she is one of the best never a dull moment with that homegirl i highly recomend you go to her abd get faded. the entire burnaby staff is chill all of them are great at their craft i highly recomend you go to this shop and get a haircut 10/10 one of the best shops in burnaby.

Door was locked when I went to open it, but one dude was in so he let me in and even though he was close to going home, he said no problem on the cut and sat me down. I had to find a new barber due to a health issue with my former long time barber of 18 years. I couldn't be more pleased with the owner G, and the level of professionalism of himself and his team. The skin fade and facial hair lineup is right on point! Got me looking like my normal handsome self again lol. A lot of Caribbean owned shops are less professional and this was not that at all. Best barbershop in Burnaby!! I got a fade done by a girl that works there named Jocelyn, she was really friendly and communicative. They were really busy when I got there so I had to wait a bit, but it was worth it. She let me know that next time I can call to book an appointment so I don't have to wait. She also started my on their loyalty program..... after 10 haircuts the next one is free. I highly recommend trying this place out!!

I've been going to the same barber shop for 15+ years and had to find somewhere new. A friend recommended Dial a style and I gave it a shot. As hard as it was to have an open mind, I walked in and told Jocelyn to have at it... And I have to admit she did a fantastic job, took me out of my comfort zone with her styling but the end result was awesome. Shes friendly and courteous and has amazing attention to detail. Can't say much else, this was my first visit, and I will be back.

My scheduled barber (AJ) no-showed for my appointment. 20 minutes after my appointment was supposed to start, he calls in sick. I have no problem with people calling in sick but if he knew he had a 10AM appointment, he should have called in sick earlier so I could have rescheduled my appointment and not wasted my time. Also, when I called to make my appointment, the receptionist told AJ about the 10AM appointment and he confirmed his presence (which I heard on the phone). So he knew he had a 10AM appointment the day before. Poor business etiquette but I will give them another shot in the future and hopefully it works out. AJ, I hope you feel better. Other than that, staff is good, good hair cuts but needs to work on business work ethic.

If you’re asian and looking for a clean fade, this is THE place to go. This was my first visit to a barber shop, having previously gone to asian hair salons that struggled with fades. Here’s my experience with: The shop - small, laid back vibes and super friendly. Walked in about 10mins early for my appointment and was greeted right away (they offered complimentary drinks like water and pop while I waited which was pretty dope). The music was on point too. Appointment started right on time. The barber - MAYRA was amazing. Super nice and her skills speak for themselves. I appreciate how she double checks with me with what I wanted before cutting my hair. I finally got that mid skin fade I was looking for and couldn’t be happier. The talented owner Gerry was Shareef Abdur-Rahim's go to guy when the Grizzlies were here. One location on Kingsway opposite the Power Plant. The other is opposite the the Bus Depot on Hastings just before Boundary. Skillful Barbers for a decent price. Go check them out and get a cool cut or beard trim. You're going to look like a hip musician or moviestar.

Used to be good and I would pay for a nice cut. I just went a few days ago, I booked an appointment a week ahead and then waited 20 min. The young girl who cut it well once before this time gave me a rush cut. Didn't really fade it, definitely skipped some steps. She didn't show me the back then when I checked when I got home I could see it wasnt fade. Just a line blended a little, not the nice fade I'm accustomed to. She cut my hair in less than 15 min which I never got a good fade done that fast. I could've got a cheaper cut elsewhere if I knew I was going to get that poor quality. Even if your running behind treat the customer right. No option to reply to owner's comment so I have to edit my post. I was rushed out rather quickly after the cut was done. She took off the apron and walked straight to the till. Felt awkward, I wasn't treated like that in the past, it was unexpected. I didn't get to see the back until I got home. Shouldn't have to argue for a quality cut and treatment when you pay and tip big. It wasnt even close to a standard fade.

I chose “Dial a Style” because of all the positive reviews and the amount of reviews, I needed a haircut and a shave, i entered the shop looking like a cave man, exited the shop looking spiffy ready for my wedding later that week, Joseph took great care of me and helped me break out of my shell, the environment of the shop is very uplifting and the stylists/barbers are enjoying themselves and doing their best work, There was an error in the booking so my beard trim wasnt booked but Joseph went above and beyond to make sure i was satisfied with my new look, he spent a whole 60mins transforming me into a handsome dude, truly helped my confidence Right before my big Day!! I plan to come back to see Joseph, he made my experience personal, and his lines are perfect! Hes a master of his craft and a great guy to chat with. Thankyou Joseph for a great experience! They offer a loyalty program and a free bottle of water with your haircut.
