First things first. Dustin is an absolute legend of human. Add on top of that put a razor, snips, or sheers in this guys hand and watch him work magic. Dustin can have a yarn about sports, politics and women while slaying your cut and have you walking out fresher then a pillow with a mint on it. Highly recommended, flogg off first cuts or some other hokey shop. Great hair gets people laid, do your self the service especially in these Covid times. 5 effing stars. Enough said!

I am in and out of Vancouver on a 6 months (away) to 6 months (here) basis and very few things remain constant, however my “usual” (cut/beard trim/hot towel shave) by Dustin is something that never changes! I’ve been coming to him for the “usual” since right after he started in this line of work in 2011 and I’m always happy when I leave. He keeps it light but there is never a lack of stories floating around the shop...stop in and enjoy one and I’m sure you’ll be back for more or even just to continue the last story. You won’t be disappointed in his work and you will definitely share a laugh or 20 during you time in the chair!! Go see for yourself!!! Highly recommended!!! 10/10

I was hornswoggled into meeting Dustin at #bootlegbarbers, getting my hair cut 8 years ago, by my 3 sons as we were going to start a Christmas tradition of all together getting hair cuts and straight-razor shaved for Christmas. We have been going to Dustin ever since!! The cuts are true and the conversation is always razor sharp as well!! Stop in to get a little trim or a full treatment, it’s a truly old fashioned experience where tattoos and piercings go along well with the suit and tie guys.(but you’d better take the tie off early). Also the Little Barber, who is following in Big BarberD’s shoes, is a feisty Sharp-witted, take no prisoners attitude that just fits right in. So there is a silver lining at times to a little hornswoggling!! Come on down, the water’s warm!!

The barber shop itself, which is in the back of an antique shop, has an excellent rustic feel and a very classic style. The staff were cool and did a fantastic job. Jason recently opened up straightedgebarber in Velvet Hair on Main Street. Not only did Jason not disappoint with the haircut, he really tried to brake the ice and engage. Jason has loads of energy and it was a great experience. As the name states, Jay does do Straight razor shaves, cuts ladies hair and kids hair as well. Snuck in for a trim recently and honestly was not sure what to expect. Found a clean, crisp barbershop that looked like it had been transported here from the 1920's. The story doesn't stop there happily, I am partially deaf and stopped and have found I need to explain this often. Right upon informing Ashley that my hearing wasnt the best, Ashley smiled and shared that she was partially deaf as well. Due to not many people knowing the repercussions of being partially deaf, there is a nice little sign on her table. The sign informs folks of the hearing issues and honestly it warmed my heart because I am still embarrassed to be losing my hearing. Ashley, thank you for taking the time and giving me a heck of a nice trim! Definitely will be seeing you folks again soon!!

Expect a good laugh, good conversation and good company every visit. He is a master in his craft, and clearly demonstrates a passion for what he does. If he doesn't think something will look good, he will not be afraid to say it. He's not in it just for the money, which is something I appreciate. I work 50+ hour weeks, but will always make a 45 minute commute just to see Dustin. Thank you for taking care of me brother.
