Have been going there now for over 15 years, with Alex cutting my hair for a fair amount of that time. Never once have I had any negative experiences with the staff or environment. I loved the classic barbershop feel, however the remodelling recently completed has made my experience that much better! I wouldn't worry about that idiot leaving the bad review - a customer you don't want anyway, but likely someone from a subpar competitor attempting to smear you.

I've been using Alex as my only barber since I moved to Burlington 7 years ago. Since the renovations, the place seems more attractive but the quality and friendly attitude of the staff hasn't changed. Alex still remembers exactly how I want my hair cut and the rest of the staff are always happy and will welcome you as soon as you walk in the door. Highly recommended.

I was extremely impressed with the quality of care. I showed Alex a picture of a fake Mohawk and design . He gave my 3 year old son almost identical look and his creativity with hair is fantastic to see. I’ve been visiting different barber shops for past 2 years looking for someone to style my sons hair and i have finally found it .!!!

A nasty third world experience. Shop is dirty and unhygienic. No barbicide used on reused razor blades. Staff smell. For 10 years my haircut is a #2 clip once a month. They messed it up, missed many hairs due to inattention and then smeared my head with some smelly oil so I had to shower when I got home and then dig out my old clipper to fix it myself.

We brought our 8-year-old in today for his first “barber” experience and Alex was absolutely wonderful! As you can well imagine, our son had quite a substantial amount of hair due to COVID restrictions and Alex took so much care and time making our son’s visit the best he’s ever had. Our normally critical child shared our delight and he too was absolutely thrilled with his hair cut. Alex even skillfully worked with our son’s prominent cowlick and cut his hair in a manner that complimented both our son and the style he was looking for. Our son hasn’t stopped smiling and we can’t get over just how much our little guy has changed with just one hair cut! With COVID restrictions slowly lifting, we are grateful we can finally indulge in the things most people typically take for granted. We are so grateful for Alex - his talent, his expertise, and we look forward to our next visit when we will be adding in some colour!

Very nice and friendly staff, especially Ann, the job is always done beautifully and detailly. Alex is a perfectionist, rather spends more time on client until he's safisfied of what's he doing. Hana has the touch of a young professional hair stylist, a very charming Lady. Hugh is the most experienced person, he knows almost all of the clients here. All of them make a wonderful team!

Most other barber shops raised their prices like crazy after the COVID outbreak. This place was really good and seemed to keep their prices as was. Service was excellent, and I didn't feel they rushed me out which is a big thing I don't like at certain shops. Thanks for the cut. I'm going to return for sure!

Love coming here with my son Kim is always warm friendly and the staff is pretty tolerant of my 3 year olds age appropriate antics. I used to live near by but now I travel from Stoney Creek to get my hair cut wouldn't go anywhere else

Today was my First visit to Mount Royal Barber Shop. A phone call 1st gave me a 2:30 Apt and Alex was ready when I arrived. I learned during my visit that Alex has been there 22 years and his professionalism reflects that fact. Disappointed with my first cut in a while (covid lockdown), no seniors discount applied, charged extra for my longer hair (the clippers and scissors don't know how much hair is being cut). I was a faithful customer, but - no more.
